- The Green Aqua team is doing lots of aquarium maintenance services for clients. We built most of these aquascapes and kept doing maintenance on them since the start - just like in the case of this beautiful 650 liter planted aquarium which is around a year old now. One day, we joined Green Aqua maintenance expert Gábor Márton (Matyi) to show you part of the process and the breathtaking result. I'm also using Erythromycin tablets. Sure can't completely eliminate Cyanobacteria,but control it.

Haha, well, he has a lot of experience, I'm sure you'll get better with practice soon. :)
I would always have a hand towel with me wiping off excess water off my hand before leaving the tank probably might help keeping the area water free haha
We do sometimes lay down a mat or a cloth on the floor in front of the tank. Did you try scrubbing your hand against the rim of the tank, when you pull it away from the water. You can actually get rid of a lot of water like that from your arm.

I started getting in love with this hobby during this difficult time it’s really depressing being alone at my house. A good friend of mine offered his 3 gallon fish tank even I’m not into it cause I don’t know if I can take care the fish but surprisingly got my first fish which are black skirt tetras and the next day I bought guppies I’m liking it and decided to upgrade to 10 gallon hoping to get more I have my 45 gallon fish tank now I’m planning to get cichlids soon

Kudos to the hardworking Green Aqua maintenance crew, the unsung heroes of this channel. I've always enjoyed Mr Gabor's work. Plus, this scape is absolutely gorgeous.
Yeah, he is one of the best scapers I know, with a huge experience in maintenance. He is a pro. We call him Matyi, because we've got another colleague named Gábor (the tall guy you sometimes see in our videos) who is doing the maintenance in the Gallery.

I don't know which would be better...to actually work for you guys or to be the client.. we all know that setting up the aquarium can be work .. but what it takes to groom, prune, and maintain an aquarium and aquascape... Does dry ice work to grow an aquascape faster?
In theory, I would cover the entire aquarium airtight and make sure the CO2 can't escape and after a day or two, I would remove the airtight seal. Also, I would keep the dry ice away from the plants.
Nice music to go with this tedious job, making a planted tank especially such a big one really not an easy task, I like the nature lighting cast under the water, very nice buccep 👍, I personally enjoy watching how you guys do the maintenance job. Isn't nice for the owner to look at his beautiful tank for few hours during stay home period 🙂?
Yepp, this is definitely a big tank, but it was set up in a way to save as much time on maintenance as possible, and we do weekly maintenances on it. It's in a hallway on the first floor. :)

We get rid of the cyanobacteria with that. We do weekly maintenances on this tank, but trim it a lot less.
I've rewatched this video so many times. This is my dream scape style of tank w that kind of diversity of fish. Maybe switch guppies w other schooling colorful fish but wow. This is super inspiring for me to work towards having some day. Thanks to this channel I've scaped two 10g tanks so far :)
edit: recently been liking my pearl danios I got. The iridescence with the lights and green plants contrast very nicely.

I have a question though. I've never seen Seachem Flourish get dosed directly into the soil. How does that work and what are the benefits of doing so?
It's Excel, not the nutrient. Kills the BGA - cyanobacteria.

I’m fairly new to this hobby and I would love to know what sort of plants were in there(mostly the grass). And what types of fish, I believe the majority of the fish were tetra but I would love to know what other fish were in there. Love this setup
The fish that are in this aquarium are: 3 large schools of Neon Tetras, Harlequin Rasboras and Red-Line Torpedo Barbs. There are a few Guppies, Mollies, Angelfish, Five-Banded barb, and Gourami fish that I can see. The bottom feeders are the Dwarf Chain Loach and Siamese Algae Eater; the grass is Dwarf Sag (Sagittaria spp.)
Yeah, one of the best tank I’ve seen lately. Excellent and balanced design, Plants are strong and healthy, radiate energy and force. Quiet schools of fish. Congratulations!
Hi, you do maintainace I agree. What about all the fish poop which is settled at the bottom of the tank, which you can't remove.
The substrate takes care of that, this is one advantage of the active substrates, pls check out our substrate tutorial for more.
My God!! This by far one of the most beautiful tank I’ve seen so far. And this man that has that cleaning service, wow, he did a fantastic job. I would hire him to clean my tank.

So this aquarium has a sump. This is limiting the amount of technology visible in the aquarium. But there is an overflow somewhere, presumably in the back at the center. Near the top of the tank I see plants traditionally seen on the bottom. Looks spectacular btw. Did you make some sort of terras facade around the overflow, or how is this done?
No, the wood and the stems just cover it, you can actually see Matyi (that's how we call him) clean that with a brush at the beginning.

Awesome choice of livestock in the tank! Peaceful yet beautiful at the same time. Just wondering- how often do you do maintenance on clients tanks? Is it as often as you would do a full maintenance job on one of the green aqua showcase tanks? Or are the clients tanks pretty overgrown and overdue for some trimming? Also- what kind of plant is that next near some of the Anubias? It looks like some sort of small crypts. Awesome video and beautiful scape. I would love to have a masterpiece like this in my house! Sidenote: the b-roll footage in this video was stunning! And WHO the heck would have disliked this??!!
The plant I think you are talking about is a Bucephalandra
Thanks for your words Kate. We usually recommend weekly maintenance for these high energy setups. Sometimes we do every 10 days. But we have bi-weekly and monthly projects too. These are partly working with automation (water change etc) to take care of it meanwhile we're away. If the crypt looking plant you're referring too that is wendii Kompakt. The tank is beautiful but the population it isn't balacend.
Yup agree we had to remove some. This is something what we usually have less control over. But we manage fish which need more space along the time. Will remove/replace them.

We did this only because of the BGA algae you've seen on the video near to the substrate. Excel kills it. BGA initially appear on the substrate, so we hit wherever hurt the most 😀

@@GreenAquaShop Absolutely! Right now is day 3... the only thing I am seeing is the large ammonia spike I was expecting from the Amazonia (roughly 4ppm), but nitrites are also on the rise so I am taking that as a good sign. Debating a water change...
@@xXCerpicoXx waterchanges! Gotta do daily first week, every other day second week, etc. Follow those recommended water changes to avoid complications.
Do as many as you possibly can do.
@@xXCerpicoXx exactly as Andrew says. Do the water changes it will help with the ammonia so algae doesn't stand a chance in the beginning. Saves you a lot of headache later on.

First thanks for this video. It is wonderful and it helps us to improve ourselves. I have understand that this tank uses a sump filter. Which pump allow to push co2 with aquamedic reactor ? (oase pump ? if it is oase pump, does it make noise ?) Aquamedic reactor is compatible with 16//22 hoses ? Thanks again, you make our world better.

Personal tip: far better to fight the Cyanobacteria with 10 volumes oxygenated water 👍 spot dosing with syringe like you do with excel ➡️ no chance to survive to this treatment 😈
too many fish my opinion only aquascape nice peaceful comu its aquarium cool its that you are reasonably satisfied then it gets let's say updated over time different plant rock wood fish lighting etc we grow in experience with our hobbie bla bla bla.etc its all good. no written rules.enjoy the hobby its an.inxestment as qmy hobby. a little lighter on plants cut fish population half me? I'd stick with fish type tetras barbs livebearers etc, again no written rules what do you l8ke o er all peaceful easy too watch aquarium pleasant let's say hmmm..don't forget to experiment and mostly have fun with hobbie.,you want all to complement each other wood rocks plants fish Rambling now getting old .again don't forget to experiment and have fun see ya

Any window cleaner would do really. Just make sure it does not get into the water.
Here in tropical Gro mexico I can't find plants in the warm lagoons. I think agriculture killed the ponds. I like plants as much as the fish.
Hello Greenaqua, How is the plant on top attached? I think its the Montecarlo. I thought it was only a plant for the bottom of the tank. By the way a beautiful tank and i love youre videos.

They will be a little small for a 35 liter tank, I guess. You need like two nano-s.

I know, been talking with Viktor about this. He said, this is a good video, but that bucket needs to go and be replaced with a proper Green Aqua bucket. Haha.
