Phenomenal! It’s one thing to know how to snowboard, but to be able to break everything down the way you do is fantastic. Hands down the best snowboarding tutorial series out there!
The student is really athletic! Nailed down the falling leaf right away! Anybody watching this and want to practice, don't feel down if you can't do this right away. This is something many struggle with, especially true if you are not used to doing sports. Classic mistakes that the video didn't show is sideslipping backseated, going with the back bent over on toe-edge, or even unable to stand up from a seated position. Get an instructor to help you of course, and if you are an aspiring instructor watching this, this is an excellent example of good instructing. Communication is short and simple, visually clear demonstrations and a lot of practice and repetition. This is an optimal scenario but despite that, this is an excellent learning source for future instructors.
That was a good lesson and I watched the entire thing. And I already know how to snowboard, LOL! But the way Nev teaches, its just so engaging, methodical and encouraging. I'll share this to my friend's who would like to learn how to snowboard. Can't wait for the next lesson of this series!
This is what snowboard coaching should look like.
