People thought the plastic Camaro was awful last year. Hot Wheels is like "hold my beer!"

I found this yesterday with all the other satin and chrome cars but this was literally sitting in the front. What a good find!
I love the muscle cars in this set, especially that awesome Superbird!!

This is the first set I’ve seen that I can think of where I really couldn’t care less about the chase. I mean, a toilet car? Seriously? Really weird choice for a chase!

Well, John loves all Hot Wheels without exceptions. Wich sounds more cringe worthy than him saying "RRRRRRRoaster" everytime he finds one in a Hot Wheels Case.

Person in charge of this set was probably like, "It was too hard for collectors to find the Camaro last year, so let's make the chase car something that doesn't fit the theme of the set so nobody will buy it."
In my area the Black and Gold Series showed up at the 7-Eleven, Big Lots, Walmart, dollar general and Family Dollar... Oklahoma City...

I love this set. I am in love with the color scheme, and I love the choice of cars. I made the mistake of not buying all of the 50th set, and I will not make the same mistake with this!

I think that's actually a spot gloss printing on those cards, it looks embossed because the gloss is thick and raises off the surface of the card.

I just got these last week with the exception of gotta go chase car. I had no idea what they were so I bought them all. I would have looked for the chase if I knew about it. I later found that someone hid a bunch of this series in the same store. If I knew about the chase I would have looked through the stashed ones...lol

There here. Purchased two sets, . Also with the shipper were the K case mix, fast & furious premiums and Mutant Machines, these were a surprise. The shipper is plentiful, but not for long.

Well, if we celebrated the 50th Hot Wheels Anniversary, why don't we celebrate the 51st Anniversary as well...and the 52nd...and the 53rd..Some nice cars in this set, my personal favorites being the '63 Chevy II, the Plymouth Superbird and the (overused) Datsun 510 Wagon. The "Chase" car is an...interesting choice to say the least, but i can't imagine scalpers going crazy over it. We all know what casting scalpers will be hunting and it's not the Gotta Go :) Thanks for the presentation John.

I really like the Gotta Go truck, but the toilet bowl at the back is a letdown for me...aside from the toilet bowl, it's a cool truck!!

In Texas the B&G was mainly at Family Dollar stores. Although Game Stop was selling the Camaro's for $4.99 and the others for $2.99.

LOL. Doubt I'll see this as lately NOTHING comes to the local Walmarts. There have been Mercedes from the Open Track set hanging off the pegs for months now.

Thank them for the Supervised but that 67 Firebird is a much-understated casting. I have the three mainlines of it and a GOLD engine with look the Dog's Bollocks.
The rest are shite and we have seen enough Datsun Wagons to keep us going for a decade. The Speed Blur should have been the last one

Ok. I don't really know how to say this in a sentence so I'll just explain it.
As cool as it is for Hot Wheels to be making a new one of these sets and doing another Legends Tour, is it only me or does everyone feel like it's taking away from the specialty of their 50th anniversary? They're doing the same things they've done last year that made their 50th anniversary special- they're just dragging it on at this point. There is absolutely NO reason to celebrate a 51st year anniversary, especially celebrating it the same way they celebrated their 50th anniversary.

Such a silly model "Gotta Go" seriously? A model car, its front grill in the shape of a urinal, an outhouse forms the cab and a giant toilet bowl with a seat at the rear. Who in God's name came up with this and who approved it. Zero out of ten from myself. All the other models are very terrific. Just goes to prove, "It only takes one!"
You know hot wheels is a children's toy, right? Maybe they're hoping children will finally have a chance to see what a chase car looks like since the greasy old men wont be buying them all up instantly to resell on ebay at 15 X original price...
