Habakkuk 2:4"the righteous shall live by faith" tells us that the just person will humbly submit to God in faith. A proud person cannot live by faith. His or her desire is not to submit to God but to live by their desires.
Not what did or can do but faith/trust in what jesus has done for us by dying for all of our sins. Jesus's perfect obedience to god and the holy sacrifice for sins. Every sinner is declared righteous by god because of gods grace through one's faith in the love of god sacrificing jesus to justly forgive sinners. Punishment of sin is death but jesus took our eternal punishment lake of fire for us so that all who have faith or believe will be forever accepted into heaven because grace,atonement, forgiveness for all sins throughout our lives are forever forgiven/erased and replaced with christ perfect obedience. Or christ took hell for us so we dont have to. If christ took hell it doesnt make sense that we who believe wholeheartedly in the promised eternal salvation should go to hell. God is true everyone else a liar.
IF YOU RECALL IN GENESIS 12:1 THE LORD SAID TO ABRAM “ GO FROM YOUR LAND”. FAITH AND OBEDIENCE GO TOGETHER. VERSE 12:4 SO ABRAM WENT AS THE LORD HAD TOLD HIM.
Justification by law god will only accept moral perfection. Justification by grace through faith in jesus sacrifice for all sins for eternal forgiveness and a free gift from god because god is love and knows the problem of sin in our lives providing salvation to all who believe. Abrahamic covenant is prophesied in genesis 15:6 as a promise to those who have faith in the promise leading to the atonement by jesus sacrifice on the cross revealed in galatians 3:15-18 The Changeless Promise 15 Brethren, I speak in the manner of men: Though it is only a man’s covenant, yet if it is confirmed, no one annuls or adds to it. 16 Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Christ. 17 And this I say, that the law, which was four hundred and thirty years later, cannot annul the covenant that was confirmed before by God in Christ, that it should make the promise of no effect. 18 For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no longer of promise; but God gave it to Abraham by promise. Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
