Just bought a BJ42 at auction in the UK - mine is a European model (LHD) and was imported from Finland in 2016. It's got a lot more rust than this one and 340,000km on the clock. Bought it to restore so looking forward to watching and learning from your videos!
Thanks Jayson for taking the time to check out the old girl, very thorough, and the closest I have seen it so far!. Awesome review, and lucky no new surprises... Window winders new rubbers and the classic LandCruiser badges ordered already.. Thanks Again.. signing up for some more Merch :-)
Wow very good condition..This model is different from mine and is difficult to find in Malaysia because most of the ways to open the rear door are left and right openings and most of the engines are diesel engines (BJ40).
Give it a good polish, fix the broken parts, install replacements for the missing parts, and then leave it as she is. It's great to see some of these remain original. Mine is a '79, only new paint was on the running boards, which I had to replace since they were rotted out. Wayne in Colorado
Great review - just wondering if you know the month of the build in 74? I have one the same year but it appears to have been delivered with the later larger square indicators and no side flashers, and different rear plate lights. I'm guessing this one was a pre May 74 build with this set up, but would love to know for certain. many thanks - great channel.
