I recently went down the multi-bit screwdriver rabbit hole and decided on the picquic. This was the brand that lived in my kitchen junk drawer when I was a kid and it came in handy countless times. It has 3" long 1/4" hex bits that can also be used in an impact drill so I don't need an extra set of bits for my drill either.
They are nice. I find I can flip bits faster than pushing them thru the handle and I like have nut drivers on the same tool. Do the picquic bits rattle in the handle when using the tool? I need to try some.
@@projectpinehills it takes a second or 2 to switch bits but that's bc they are held in so well. The rattle is pretty minimum. Comparable to my wera kompact multi bit screwdriver
I have an assortment of multi bit handles, but my favorite is a ratcheting locking collet handle with a 3 1/2" bit like the Craftsman you showed. My go to is the Wera 816 RA. These can go in tight areas and you don't leave your bit with the fastener when you pull out.
Thanks for watching!
My favorite screwdriver is the Wera 27 RA
That is a great screwdriver, thx for sharing!
Klein also has the 15 in 1 ratcheting screwdriver.
I've seen that one, it looks nice.
yea its great, the second day I had it I was putting a wire on a breaker with the square tip and when i pulled it out the square bit pulled out of the screw driver and went down the wall, Do Not buy a multi bit screw driver unless the tip locks in.
Good point. Thanks for watching!
Picquic could be the answer - the shaft is too thick!
Might be, there's always a tradeoff. I like the speed of flipping bits as opposed to changing them from the handle.
@@projectpinehills bearings wear down on flipping action - not reliable
That's a good point!
