12:06 out of curiosity I did some quick calculating here. He had around 1700 max HP, and around 1130 health before using Seppuku. If the host hadn't used Seppuku right then and there, he would've survived the attack.

But you're telling him to not use 658 buffs to beat the boss in 15 seconds, that's impossible

Using radagons holy golden shank to make your opponents rada-fucking-gone is second to none.
I second this, the AOW has some pretty good hyperarmor and can deal a lot of damage, especially the beam. My go-to weapon on my int/fth build

The weapon art is good for Greatshields and Bigger Bosses. I wrecked Dragonlord Placidusax and Elden Beast in NG+
The ash is actually pretty good if you hit it
The art is good in invasions, especially in enclosed spaces. Many hosts just blindly run into the explosions from my experience.
Did you know that you can cancel the R2 by pressing circle (or the dodge button, I play on Ps4) while charging it?
I always love the short moment of silence Chase partakes in when one of his attacks does an absurd amount of damage and destroys his opponent by surprise.
My favorite moments. It’s like a mutual “WTF” reaction between us (the viewers), Chase (the attacker) and the poor soul who got absolutely demolished.
The Ash is surprisingly safe. One of the best gank-buster weapons in the game. But I wish it did frost on every hit and not just the ash of war.
I wondered why it didn't for a while too. I figure the only reason they didn't have it proc frost buildup over time is that they reasoned it would be a completely busted weapon that way.
My favorite weapon I have been waiting on it the ash of war does crazy damage and it just looks so good
It’s a lot easier to land the ash of war against aggressive players but I have gotten pretty good at it since I’ve used it forever
6:33 I remember that in Dark Souls 3, one of the highest dmg outputs in pvp was to glass cannon the dragon slayer's greataxe: morion blade, RTSR, lightning talisman, Flynn talisman, all stats go to str and fth; despite this setup, there was a chance that 40 vigor guys would survive; of course, this was a troll build. Now compare it to elden ring...
Fair and balanced gameplay,
Max health in DS3 was around 1500 with all the talismans as well, here it's 600 more so the damage outputs make sense.

@@alexepic3255 Oh I agree that the damage scaling into end-game outdoes vigor especially with new additions like the skill boosting talisman but ideally they should both grow at a similar rate.
I'm gonna be sad when Chase runs out of weapons to showcase. Love these videos.

Chase, there is a Flail with the name Family Heads. It's Dex mostly with a low Int requirement and it's very unique. That is all I'm saying lmao.

Love, love, love this sword. Used it for a long time on my Carian Knight build. It's just so beautiful, super powerful and the Ash of War is so fun, even if it is hard to land in pvp.

I honestly enjoy the new format with more invasions. I feel like certain weapons perform better in invasions then in duels, where your oponent is always focused on you.

Awesome showcase like always. The Highland Axe would be interesting to see at some point, it boosts roars including the damage bonuses from Barbaric Roar and War Cry, and it stacks with the roar talisman but not another Highland Axe. I'd also love to see you try out the dualwielding axe moveset.

Most likely even more than that. The first slam hit 900 on another opponent and the ice blast hit 1200. And if it frostbites... Yea overkill

This ash of war when it lands it does roll catch with the sword hit and after with the AO freeze attack. Very cool, great reward for a great effort to land it.

I’ve been running this as my dlc prep and it’s insanely good with combos. You can combo anything into a guard counter and use the ash of war immediately after and get most people if executed right. You can also pair this with frozen pots, throw + weapon art will proc just abt everything

i think zamor curved sword would be an interesting one, it's r1 moveset is unique so it could catch some people off guard. the aow is pretty good too.

Two very interesting weapons that I would like to see you showcase - Ornamental Straight Sword and Devourer's Sceptre.

One thing I'd like to see with Colossal Swords is using your poise/hyper armor on your r1s to trade after a crouch poke. It works pretty often against katanas and smaller weapons
that invasion with the dual bleeders was clutch. they played so defensively and patiently and you still clapped dem cheeks, so impressive.
my absolute favorite weapon and the coolest ash of war imo. its so hard to land the skill in pvp but when it does its so satisfying lol
I would love to see a Misericorde episode. It’s an underrated weapon IMO. Paired with a great shield it works pretty well, especially considering people don’t respect you, which allows you to get some r1 spam or an ash of war off. Also, no one expects you to guard counter with a dagger

How I wish this sword and Malekith black blade is a greatsword instead of a colossal sword, or at least have a greatsword variation of it. I really can't bring myself using colossal weapon because of how slow it is.

Honestly, I like to have a Colossal Sword on almost every build I do. For STR it's the Watchdog Greatsword, for FTH it's Maliketh's Black Blade, and for INT it's the Royal Greatsword. I love the colossal gravity swords, but they're a lot slower. With this one, you have mobility and added status, and it makes me love the sword so much.

Glintstone Kris dagger! It's ash of war glintstone dart is similar to glintstone pebble but it can be charged and the followup attack travels far.
raptor talons + bloodflame blade. i am having lots of fun with that combo recently.
I keep having these moments of "didn't he do this one already" and I'm now realizing its just that I'm remembering the invasion streams.

Wolf's assault is VERY good against slam attacks, Regal Roar, Haorah Loux's Earthshaker, I command thee, kneel, Earthshaker, Waves of Darkness(But the third will stun out of the second hit explosion), etc. It can take you over attacks like that, I can't recall if it also works against wave of gold

Great video as usual chase! Im curious though, how do you always have dragonbolt pots to spare? Once you’ve used the gravel stones from a play-through that are available to pick up freely, farming them is incredibly stingy!
Have you considered doing any staffs/seals on these? You could probably treat the spells like ashes of war, though it might be harder to showcase all of them. Maybe along with weapons that compliment them, like a strength/faith weapon with the clawmark seal?

For str/int builds who favor an aggressive playstyle, this thing hits like a TRUCK. Combine this with harassing an enemy with Adula's Moonblade/Ranni's Dark Moon and it's gonna get real, real cold very quickly if you've leveled arcane.

The Royal Greatsword is unironically my favorite weapon in the game. Its so much fun to use and the AoW does crazy amounts of damage.
