can you do a video including finding irrational zeroes? i have trouble finding all the zeroes when one is rational and the other two are irrational for example
This guy is incredible.. On the same level as Khan Academy in my opinion. He come's off as rude to his students though when they ask questions. I may be mis-reading things.. Great teacher though!
I suppose for time's sake he didn't explain why he did what he did there. He looked at where the value of x would be negative and what the (even and odd) degrees, as well as what the existing signs, would do to them. (Read more if you want to see how) [x^4-7x^3+10x^2+14x-24] He labeled the signs in order of how they would be set up using synthetic division. So if f(-x) is applied to the function... x^4 would then be (-x)^4 which is positive (+). Next, -7x^3 would then be -7(-x)^3 which, when taking a negative to an odd power it remains negative, but when -7 is multiplied to -x, it will become positive(+)... So on and so forth.. So the setup of synthetic division comes out to the the coefficients' signs being: +,+,+,-,- as derived when making the function f(-x) (BTW, did you notice that the last sign of the polynomial ---> [-24]
sorry about that, where is the error as I do not have it posted in the comments and would like to let anyone else know if I made a mistake so others are not confused
I've been watching your videos to help me get through my grade 12 U functions class. I do not have a teacher and you've been really helpful, however, I have no idea what you mean by f(-x) does anyone have a link to someone who has covered this??? thanks for any help
The inverse of the equation, if you have an equation and it says find the inverse, you need to solve for x in the normal order, then switch the x and y at the end
i have an equation on my practice exam thats f(x)= 8x^4-20x^3-14x^2+5x+3 to find all possible rational zeros and im still confused after watching this video.
Jesus Christ is coming soon, God is telling y'all to repent from your sins and live a life for him so you wont get left behind when he comes back and take his people.
I wish he was my math teacher in high school!
bro's better than all my math teachers combined.
This is the first video you confuse us with your explanation.
Us? I realize English is probably not your first language. When talking about yourself, use “me”.
He probably has another video showing the Descartes Rule of Signs.

the way you explain this, is 10x more understanding than my teacher

Thank you!! My problem was exactly addressed by your video!

Thank you for your videos you teach me all the stuff my math teacher can't.
You are very welcome
I'm confused by when you do f(-x) and you get +++--

@@dybrt150 great explanation thank you so much:')
Your an amazing teacher please 🥺 keep teaching
Dead by the fact that he paused at 1:49

@@804drewskii6 100% call he was staring at a student 😂 my teacher does that to me sometimes
I assume the silence and staring was at a kid who was on their phone. Hilarious way to call them out without interrupting yourself😂😂
2:47 i don't understand this part
what did you do to evaluate -x
I am so glad that I watched the entire video to catch the error, because I was watching this video to review for a test and I got so confused
sorry about that, where is the error as I do not have it posted in the comments and would like to let anyone else know if I made a mistake so others are not confused
When you re-wrote the factor around 8:24, but it is okay because I managed to watch the part where you caught your mistake.
ahhh okay, thanks!

It’s the inverse of y
substitute -x for x in the equation
The inverse of the equation, if you have an equation and it says find the inverse, you need to solve for x in the normal order, then switch the x and y at the end
So sorry never mind! I was wrong
also, does this work if any of the constants = 0 ?
i.e., ax^n + bx^(n-1) + cx^(n-2) + ... + k = f(x) and c = 0
Thank you for the video.
This is like an experiment, whatever the number get me 0 at the end, that should be the answer.
What about when there is x cube missing in the equation? I am stuck with it right now
Julia G.길윤 it helps if you put it in as a 0x^3
All these examples use 1st coefficients of 1! I can’t find any with like, 11 or 6
Same!
What's the difference between the root of a polynomial and a zero? And is a rational root different from a real root?
roots and zeros are the same thing just a different name but idk the answer to the second question
im still confused when you say "3 or 1 positive "
the rule is the number of sign changes minus an even number
ruclips.net/video/EE6PAwZkUik/видео.html
This is actually interesting
of course! haha
Just a questions, are zeros the same as roots?
What is that graphing technologies?
How do you find the complex zeros?
easiest is using quadratic formula
super helpful man
does this work if k > a ?
what is the graphing technology that he is referring to? graphing calculator ?
Yeah
Thank youuuuuuuuuuu
Saved. My. Life.
Thanks for the videos you made it really helpful understanding this material. Question? Where does this math apply to literally anything in real life?
you really unique
i have an equation on my practice exam thats f(x)= 8x^4-20x^3-14x^2+5x+3 to find all possible rational zeros and im still confused after watching this video.
i am going to go ahead and assume the kid at 1:35 had his phone out
this was very good but you are too fast, which is hard for others to undestand
You gave the stare of death at 1:48, scared even me..
😡😡😡🙀🙀🙀
watching Randy Orton explaining how to handle tommorow's exam
I don't get it
3:56 clever
GOD BLESS
For this Indrajeet's Law is very easy law to solve it, so first of all you should read this law on Google.
what if the constant = 0
Like 4x^3+3x^2-6x? Then factor out the x, and use quadratic formula to find the zeroes
good brain
Brainy😀
And thank you REPENT AND BE BAPTISED IN LORD JESUS NAME AMEN!!!
your q looks like an 8

I wish my teahcer agreed with graphing technology lol, who cares how you get the answer.
Why maths is so hard?
He is too fast. I am very confused . He messed up the board real bad.
Most of it is application from previous videos. I thought so too when I first watched, but look around and it should come together.
I’m just getting more confused :/

how did you figure out the negative part? I still don't understand.
