Magically nobody took it leaving management in a total mess being forced to do all the work themselves. Moral of the story, don’t treat your employees like crap. They also complained about OT. If the police show up, he'll be taking his anger management classes from the confines of a jail cell for violating the terms of his probation. The other trick with HOA's is to be sure your lawyer is well versed in laws regarding HOA's.

Store wasn’t locked until 1 am and my ex said he had to stop a guy from throwing a 16 oz ham or turkey sliced meat in the yellow containers (forget brand at moment) at the back of my head to get my attention. I had my earbuds in and just doing my job. It’s allowed and normally people left me alone. Shoulder tap would have caused me to whirl around and punch because instinct and I get startled easily. The damn sale was off anyway and guy was apparently pissy about not knowing the price
First story when I worked for a store that handled everything grocery - electronics they were unionized and the union fixed the store from sending us home early. Anything over 8hrs was Over-Time not counting once you exceeded 40hr not counting any hours that was counted as OT that was also OT.
Anger management doesn’t excuse his lying and trying to get you in trouble and arrested. You should’ve taken the money and then called the cops for assault. I would have. Or since you’re at Best Buy, make him buy you a new pair of headphones right then and there, and then call the cops after you get them from him. He belongs behind bars, he’s a damn Psycho.
I'm a custodian and we only have like Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Eve day paid off. We have to come in and work on the weekdays that are not the weekend. Like this year, but I'm going to be putting in for vacation because normally I don't care I live in my hometown but this year's been so chaotic I've got to have some extra time off. We just do extra maintenance like mopping all the rooms down individually, sand and wax some floors in certain rooms that we didn't get a chance to during the summer. As well as any little things but we have a crew of seven people so that's not a big deal.
I would hope the manager would have at least said he's banned for like 3 months or something as an extra reminder to not touch anybody like that again in a store.

When I worked at a hospital the manager was always offering OT at a rate of time & a half base pay, days before a holiday that we would have worked for time & a half holiday pay (about $20/hr more than base pay). Then would place us on call at $3/hr for the holiday. You couldn't go anywhere or plan for anything because you might have to work. If you didn't work 40 hrs total you didn't get the OT.
The point of jail is to keep people out of society that can't control themselves to the point where they harm others. Sounds like that guy is spiraling down to being in prison anyways...even though he is in anger management therapy.

On the second story he is very lucky he did not get injured If someone did something like that to me the cops would have to pull me off of the guy…… and the funny part about it is, I would have no charges filed against me because by ripping the headphones off of my head the other guy legally assaulted me first so my reaction would be self defense

They tried appealing and no dice. Second HOA had fourteen clauses in the declaration, ten of them unconstitutional. Got same lawyer, went to court, HOA dissolved. The lawyer specializes in HOA law and said he’s never read a declaration that didn’t have something unconstitutional in it. The builders do that to keep homeowners in line until the last house is sold. Then they walk away and don’t care what happens to the development. Amending the declaration creates a whole new HOA that no one has to join. Color standards for paint are unenforceable without a color chip standard or color meter reading within a reasonable range. This is a federal requirement. If an HOA doesn’t have one of those, it can’t tell you what color to paint your house. I won a court case against a friend’s HOA by showing the court that requirement. In some states, before you can be on the board you must take a class in the duties and responsibilities of a board member and submit that certificate to the board before running for the board. In my state that is a requirement but nobody but me on our board did it. As a result, when I took the HOA to court, all of their actions were deemed illegal because by law, none of them was qualified to be on the board. I presented a copy of the certificate to the court. I automatically won because I was the only one who was qualified to be on the board. There are so many ways to screw with an HOA if they screw with you. By the time I have been done with the HOAs, they were glad the HOA was dissolved.

This person says they were the president of the HOA at one point, so they were actually in it. I don't like HOAs, but if you move and were in the HOA but still own the house and rent it out, you still have to comply, so some of those violations might have been legit.
