When I listen to this with my headphones, it is even more incredible...it makes me actually tear up. Music touches my soul, and this is one that really does. This show is such an amazing creation, and I am totally hooked.

With this piece, you can hear and feel the pull of sadness from the battles that have played out through history. Whether between men, cultures, or women and men, this theme piece brings it all to your minds eye.

This piece is so powerful, so deep, so strong, as if it is conveying the whole TV show in a mere 3 minutes but, not with words no... rather with its somber but deep tones and notes, I can feel it reach into me and pull out something new, something amazing, and un-felt before. I get chills every time I listen to it, and I am currently listening to it as I am writing this. I feel like this piece is nearly impossible to describe to someone who has never heard it before, not only because of its deep mighty "roar" but because of the message behind it which is undoubtedly weaved in and out of the piece that only the composer himself would know the true meaning behind...

I couldn't disagree with you more! I'm old enough to remember watching 'the World at War' tv series back-in-the-day with Laurence Olivier narrating it. And I remember the theme music very well. There is no comparison between the themes whatsoever. The World at War's theme has a different melody and tempo all together. Are you sure you've got the right tv series? @@roquefortfiles

I wish that I could agree with you...I really do. But I can't hear it myself. I 'get' what you are saying about the sense of "tragedy & despair" in both themes alright....and both themes are predominately in a minor key (which is a bit unusual for a TV theme) hence the "mood" that you spoke of. But (for me) that's where the similarity between them ends. I'm not too bad at 'copping' a rip-off in a song, for example Sting's: Fields of Gold (1993) ripping off the melody of Wreckless Eric's: Whole Wide World (1977) and as far as I am aware no one has publicly spoken about that. But I think that the differences between Yellowstone and (the equally good) World at War theme are too great. Just saying....@@roquefortfiles
Brian Tyler This music is nothing less than extremely moving. It has a strange sense of bringing out emotions with a almost overwhelming feeling. I get different emotions or feelings that cause me to feel short breathing tightness lonely or abandoned out by myself sometimes a scared feeling then in a flash I 100% flip to another direction feeling powerful safe strong & on top of the world & in a rush then “BAM” I may go into a feeling of relaxation like I’m on vacation or actually overlooking the mountains in the introduction. The music just has a strange scary good feeling that I’m not sure if I described it that well but one things is that it somehow is magical in the fit for “Yellowstone” I would be curious as to how in the hell you came up or created this & what state of mind you was in & where you was when you created this music. Did you make it all at once or it take several days weeks & other help. Also is there words that go with the music. Anyway Amazing & very good job to come Up with that hit that every person who listens to it will feel strong feelings come over them.

Makes me think of my father. He was born in Butte and spent a lot of time with his Uncle that lived in Yellowstone. I still remember my great grandfathers cattle brand. My dad and I use to ride horses together. Miss him and proud to have family in that area
