Outanjoubi Omedetou Gozaimasu, Kanami-Sama !!!!! I'm 77 and a rock fan going back to the late 1950's and these two instrumentals you have reacted to are two of the finest I have ever heard !!!! And I've heard both played live at different shows I went to in 2022 and 2023 when Band Maid was on tour here and I plan to see them again if they have a US tour in 2025. These ladies and their compatriots in the amazing Japanese rock/metal scene have given us old rockers a glimpse of what we have been missing here since the end of the 1970's. They are keeping the flame of rock alive. And give some love to Akane too, as she is an important part of that power trio that make Band Maid so great. She acts as the band leader and keeps everyone on their clicks and is a master at it. Misa is astoundingly good on bass and Miku has become a complete professional on rhythm guitar, with her impeccable bridge work. They are at the top of the rock world right now and I see no sign of them letting up.
As you know, Saiki the lead singer has had throat surgery in the past so the band are very careful with her voice. They play 2+ hour sets so to give Saiki a break around mid-set they do three things. 1. Play an instrumental, 2. Miku (rhythm guitar) takes lead vocals for a song or two (she usually has one track per album where she is lead vocalist) and 3. Miku will do her legendary and hilarious "Magic Time" MC set. Then Saiki comes back on to finish the set. Even though Saiki no longer needs a break nowadays, it's become more of a tradition. So yeah, they have a number of really cool instrumental tracks. Happy birthday to our dearest Mincho, I hope all her dreams come true.
For the Mincho Unleashed, that is from the 2019 Summer Sonic performance. You can find the WHOLE performance online and her unleashing Mincho starts at 20 minutes and 20 seconds. It then leads into their song Moratorium.
For my money she’s the best band guitarist right now (to differentiate from virtuoso players not part of a band, or who have a so-called “band” that’s just there to frame their playing). She’s got loads of technical ability and getting better all the time. But, if that was all she brought to the table she’d be just one of many, many, very good guitarists out there. No, she also has her own unique style and sound in an age when so many guitarists are very skilled yet they all sound the same! Like clones of each other. Not Kanami. Then, also, she’s a genius composer. Truly that’s another thing that separates her, as she has written so many great songs that highlight every member… sometimes more than herself… because she knows what’s best for the song. Her selflessness extends to freely including everyone else in the process. More and more it’s a collaborative effort… but you know her genius is still at the heart of so much of their work, even now. There are guitarists out there that can make your head spin with their amazing playing, but can they also make your heart sing? Can they make instrumentals that talk to you as if the singer was still there? Do they dance with child-like joy onstage as they melt your face off with blistering riffs and solos?

"From Now On" -- Mincho takes on the job of lead vocalist ... and makes her guitar sing! This is a classical work for three stringed instruments and percussion: guitars, bass and drums. "Onset' - wait! Mincho's guitar sings again. Another break for Saiki, while Mincho takes care of the melody -- with a special solo from Misa ... and Miku .. and Akane. Mincho Unleashed ... what, she was on a leash before? I think our Mincho has been trying some of Misa's whiskey.
Onset IMO is one of the greatest metal instrumental ever written. And I call it metal because most rock instrumentals are more mellow. It's on par with Metallica's Orion.
@VEGERRO I think Kanami can do what she wants, not everyone has a goal to start a family...I agree no human should be exploited, but you can tell she loves what she does, so we shouldn't make assumptions about what's right or wrong for her

But ‘3 year rest’, ‘start family’, ‘have child’.. is these ur opinions? Or you think She should do or u think She wants to do. For me as a fan, whatever they do I definitely support Them ( not just 3yrs,start family or have a child)..as long as They not dis-band and keep making musics/songs together, they can rest 3+yrs( as long as they want), start families and have children as many as they want. From Japan I thought the reason they didn't make any big plans like a world tour at the beginning of this year was because one of the members might start a family. Although their activities as a band will be suspended, it felt like a wonderful thing. It seems that's not the case now, but I want them to be free and happy. They became independent from the office and had more freedom. No matter what happens, they now feel like a family that loves and cherishes each other.

It's rare for Mincho to have the stage to herself, but when she does, it simply proves she is there with the very best ever.
