How ironic~ I just finished some beef bone broth today also! =) This time I cooked mine down several times, over 2-3 days on the stove top (we're currently in the RV). I was looking at the meat, as it cooked down more & more & thought, hmmm~ maybe I'll eat it. I think meat this way has so much flavor because I continuously condensed the broth down to almost a beef syrup, added more water & did it again- adding a couple more shank bones each time. The meat was SO good! The bone broth is the best I've had yet. Just goes to show~ beef is where it's at, no matter how you cook it up! I had also saved a bunch of steak bones & tossed those in too for the last cook today. *Feeling super happy for your dog Paula~ lucky girl getting such treats💞
I had 2 tablespoons of my homemade apple cider vinegar. you need vinegar to pull the collagen out of the bones. And I use water and take all that grease spray paint put it in my bone broth so I can have the clean tallow when the bone broth is done. I don’t waste waste a darn thing.
I have some beef and chicken bones in my freezer, and now my hankering for some broth is really strong! I've made the broth in a crockpot as well as my Instant Pot...I think IP wins today! Thanks, Paula...from Staci in Michigan
Oh I would love to see your little furbaby have a bite of some of that. He sure is a darling little furbaby. I can't wait to try this recipe. I hope I can find some soup bones at the store. Thank you for sharing and God bless.
I’ve purchased standing rib roast that was on sale. Cut off the rib bones and cut into steaks. Wonder if the ribs would work good for bone broth. I do save my wing tips and rotisserie carcasses to make chicken bone broth. Delicious!! When I strain my broth I use a large strainer with cheese cloth and pour into an 8 cup measuring bowl then I pour into my jars.
I enjoy your videos so much. I purchased the air grill like you have. I would like to see a more detailed video on how to use it. I haven't used mine very much yet. Example once I'm finished cooking, I don't know how to turn it off other than unplugging it. The button is still lit up when cooking is complete. If I push the button (thinking I am turning it off) it starts up again. Am I missing something??? I have been pleased with it, but don't think I'm acquainted with it as well as I should be.
Would recommend pour/strain the broth into a larger container/bowl first. Then ladle or pour through a funnel into your jar. The whole nutbag endeavor is a bit harder & messy.
How do you get the yucky stuff out of the broth ? I’m looking to buy the instant pot but realized when cooking bones over stovetop for several hours, it brings up the nasty substances you wanna scoop out
Did you not get some thick gelatenous stuff with your broth? I know Mary's Nest indicated that you need or want high cartlidge bones in the mix..to get the thick gelatin. I had been buying organic beef broth (no sugar added) for $3.00/16 ounces or 2 cups. I drink 2 cups per day so that get sort of spendy.. over the long haul. I'm experimenting to make my own using an Instapot..to see if there is much of a savings. Even though I'm drinking organic...I'm betting mine will still be better. The interesting thing is the price of bones.. rofl.. I remember the butcher used to give them away free. NOT NO MORE... In some cases they're chargeing almost as much per pound for the bones as we're paying for the actual meat - It's pretty disgusting.

This was perfect for me…just what I was looking for. Thanks!
You’re welcome ☺️
Bone broth has so many wonderful healing benefits. Thank you for sharing!
Don't have to add water in 2 hrs?

Fierce..
I used a red wine.. per Mary's Nest.
You don’t need vinegar, I’ve done it plenty of times with plain water and it’s the most collagenous bone broth possible
We do this for vietnamese pho noodle soup too. The meat is great with the soup when flavored and seasoned.

Thank you for this. video. The packaged bone broth that is certified grass fed/ grass finished are so expensive.
Yum, this looks so good, I love bone broth! I use my slow cooker to make mine, it makes my house smell wonderful :-)
Thank you! How long do you cook yours in the slow cooker?
@@lowcarbrevelation 12 hours for poultry, 24 for beef
Very good video and instructions.
Thank you!

Thanks for info 👍
How significant are the concerns with lead and arsenic in bone broth? Thanks!
Not concerned
@lowcarbrevelation ok thanks. I'm confused why some people are... Do you happen to know?

Ok. We are out of town right now. When I get back home I will do a more detailed demo. It makes delicious steak 🥩 🤤
@@lowcarbrevelation Great! I haven't done steak yet so I'll be looking forward to your video!

Thank you. This video was two years ago. I do it differently now

Thanks! Can you use any sort of bones?
You can. I like the bones with marrow
Is that on low or high?
High pressure
Bone broth for chicken or turnkey bones is the same? I want to make chicken noodle soup!
Yes same way
Hi! When I go to the blog site and click on the PDF for this recipe it comes up blank, I've tried twice now, any ideas?
I’ll check it out thanks

I use a strainer when I pour it into jars
How much and how often do you consume bone broth?
I mostly use it in recipes
Wouldn’t this be considered stock?
Bone broth is from roasted bones
How much water for 1 kilo of beef bones for gelatinous broth?
I just cover them in water
@@lowcarbrevelation i mean cover just above the bone level or ?
@@IgorGutman I’m not sure how much a kilo is so I would cover the bones completely with water
@@lowcarbrevelation 1 kg is roughly 2 lbs
@@lowcarbrevelation a gallon of water for 2 lbs of bones for gelatin broth? Seems like way too much water.
I salt afterwards , especially if i give my dog the meat. I know it could be considered a small amount, but i rather not take any chances

Yes I do
The meat on those bones is delicious!
It tasted very bland. We did end up eating most of it. I put butter and rosemary on it.

That looks like they could have trimmed that Delmonico meat better for you 😢
Easy peasy thanks🙏
