Chain lightning did like 740% more damage back then, than it does today. I kind of miss chain lightning being used on single target with a short cooldown.
Only reason i like shaman, its one of the sweetest burst spells in wows history. The coolest thing about chain lightning is that it has different sound for critical hits, feels amazing to crit with it

@@patconzip Yea, people sleep on resto shaman in PvP. It's super good. And yea, if you're playing at peak performance the only thing you got to worry about 1v1 is an SL/SL lock that knows what he's doing; and even then it's just a battle of attrition.

Shaman is the 1º class when it comes to getting away with using a shield and putting up good damage, then comes protection warrior, which is also really good, although, leaving a shaman to cast on you for 3 seconds usually ends up in a loss, they are very deadly, specially if they are orcs.
There is a reason why there were basically 4 classes/specs in TBC in PvP. Everybody always played what was broken. Anyone remembers windfury shaman? Also there were always big gaps in gear and skill in PvP between players.
Numerous reasons with my gear, build and playstyle. First is high armor and resilience. Baseline armor is 13,200 and 452 res. But if you notice, I start casting lesser healing wave early and often. This is to proc ancestral healing and my gladiator trinket. This bumps armor to 16,500 and res to 491 (From trinket). With this melee damage is reduced by 61% with 12.5% less chance of being crit, and if I am crit, 25% less damage from the crit. This is just to start. From whatever damage is left, stoneskin totem reduces that by another 43. Then I normally have healing stream totem down which is passively healing me for 148 every 2 seconds. Also, Earth Shield is healing massive chunks every couple seconds while I am being hit. Even with the best melee gear on the game, melee barely scratches me. This leaves spell damage. Spell damage does hurt me more, but with elemental warding, I take 10% less fire, frost and nature damage. And that is what can actually land on me between grounding totems, and 5 sec interrupts with reverberation talents. 1v1 against anything, they don't have much of a chance against my play style. I can counter basically any class. Especially if they use physical damage and not spell damage. It's not even fair really.
yo that mage @ 2:25 was so bad lol... he stop casting his frostbolt to cast ice barrier... when you have purge lol, he didnt even use rank1 buffs against u to protect his buffs, or block the chain lightning..
I don't agree with add-ons that show you the timer of enemies spells like ice block, etc. Apart of the skill of the game was knowing it from experience. Not a knock at OP specifically.
Why not just go ele? Lol. It's even better buddy. Priests could just shadow word pain people and they would die from it. Not impressive because you're a healer.
I have an alternate spec, where I drop one point Earth Shield for Elemental Fury...and that spec really slaps. But I need Earth Shield for arenas so...

In battlegrounds, healers are best helping teams rather than going solo. It's a question of how you deploy yourself as an asset to your faction.

Nah 99% chance he didn't pay anyone. Players really are this bad in bgs/wpvp. You have to queue arena to find anyone with a brain.

Even as a warrior I have to land a considerate amount of critical hit to get a W against a resto 1v1.
