It's time for a super posh, super luxurious drag race!
Mat's sat in the Audi S8, which can put down 571hp & 800Nm thanks to the 4-litre twin-turbo V8 that's hiding under the bonnet. As for the Bentley Flying Spur, well it's certainly ahead in the performance stats, with a 6-litre W12 helping it produce 635hp & 900Nm of torque!
However, that's not all... It also weighs almost 200kg MORE than the S8! So despite the extra power, is the massive weight difference going to cost it the win? When you consider it costs £70k more than the S8, you'd certainly hope not! But there's only one way to know for sure... LET'S RACE!

Go back 24 years to 1996 when Audi launched the first S8. Loved that car then. Love this incarnation now.
Compared to some other luxury saloons, it's still relatively cheap but still goes like a warp speed battleship. So it's the one I'd still have ;-))...

The tyre pressure thing - specifically in regards to the Bentley - is due to the tyres being designed for passenger/driver comfort and noise reduction. Similar to how to certain tyres are rated for certain speeds. Something to consider for those modify cars; not all tyres are designed to do 150+ mph. E.g My daily requires reinforced side walls and a high speed rating, due to the weight and power output.

The S8 is one hell of a car on track. The adaptive air suspension and the four wheel steering does wonders, and it would be way faster on track the that straight lin missile Bentley. Cheers

@Ryan St and now? The Urus, Benteyga, S65 or any performance sedan/SUV is heavy but still fast. Technology and clever tweaks DO wonders.
@Ryan St the thing is, you have to give me a perspective, a point of view. From the eyes of a super car or aerokit-warrior sure not, but these cars are purpose built for this. From any other perspective they actually do, which is pretty astonishing. Stuff like for example 4 wheel steering makes a 2 ton sedan handle waaaaay better around corners than you would it expect to do.
The bentley also have the same suspension system, or even better.

There is something about Bentley's, initially I don't like the looks, then every time you look at it it gets better and now I love it
It is not the same as old Saab 900, that were so ugly that in fact they were an eye catch, but defo last 2 flying Bs (Mulssanne and this Flying Spur) have something off about them, yet every time you look at them it is like - 'you know what, your eyes might be a bit wonky but you are still one sexy beast' kind of thing...

If I remember correctly, they ditched Audi's MLB architecture for this generation in favor of a setup where the engine sits further back
