Phil has training with royce gracie Helio Gracie Rickson gracie and relson gracie
I had the pleasure of meeting him at a seminar in South Jersey recently. He was amazing! Both, his skill and ability to teach, were just extraordinary. He truly is a role model and an ambassador that Jiu Jitsu should be proud of!
I was privileged to meet both their grandfather Phil and great uncle Tony Migliarese. They were both members of Local #690 Plumbers Union in Philadelphia. They both attended the marriage of my mother & father . I know they are so proud looking down from up above to see the character and dedication you have brought to the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I follow your career and watch your videos.
Society need more people like this guy, who seems to be such a positive source.
Great clip learned a lot
Thanks
Phil, congratulation on your 20 years in the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Thank you for sharing those 20 years of knowledge with your students with such generosity.Brendan(Team Balance Dublin)
man seems like a great role-model and an amazing teacher for any kid walking in off the street. Seems like a guy like this could really share some really important lessons for both the mat and off it.
Loads of respect and admiration for guys like this.
Thanks for sharing this.
I met Phil at this Grappler's Quest Beast of the East 4. He was talking to my instructor so I decided to introduce myself. He seemed to be a pretty cool guy I hope I get the chance to train under him one day.
You're a huge attribute to both jiu jitsu and society
Awesome Video! we want more!!!
This is honestly such a motivating video. You have inspired me Phil. I look at the situation I'm in and its nowhere near as bad as what you went through. Thank you.
Good work, Phil! Congratulations on 20 years in the sport.
I'm so happy about your story!!!!! Congratulations and thanks to give hope for people!!!!!

this is just amazing ive been doing the sport for 4 months and have been in one competition and have come in second and am just amazed by this whole sport its just beautiful
A very amazing and inspiring story. Thanks!!!
Great video. Hope to share the mat with you one day. 20 years in the jits! Thanks for your contributions to the sport and Congrats Maestro
Very inspirational Phil. I've been laid up for quite awhile with a fracture of my lower back. I use to be able to palm the floor. Now, if I can touch my ankles when I first wake up, that's a miracle. I'll do a half hour of yoga, I can at least touch the floor (can't palm it-but I can touch it). Thanks for the hope.
True...he seems to be a highly motivated guy
Legend
A great video, I really enjoyed it. Thanks.
@JiuJitsuMatrix very nice post. Unfortunately, I injured my neck which has required 2 surgeries. My competition days are over. But I still train strictly technique with no "rolling." I can't afford another injury. I'm just thankful that I can at least still learn and practice
the techniques.
great explaination
Pretty inspiring.
