HOLY **** THE CRAZIEST THING JUST HAPPEND TO ME!!!! I don’t hatch alot of eggs because I don’t spend alot of money on the game, and during Hoenn tour I only picked up two 10 km eggs (I know thats pretty much nothing). Today I hatched one of them AND GOT A FRICKING SHINY TROPIUS.
Initially, I was planning to skip the event but I loved that unlike the previous post-pandemic research days, Niantic was thoughtful enough to have both a timed research section and the usual field research, which was amazing. As someone who doesn't have access to any kind of vehicle, I had to walk to 3 different parts of my town and ended up with about 27 KM walking during this event. I loved the fact that we had timed research because it was fun doing those research tasks as I was on my 10-15 minute walk to the second town. And similarly, I was dependent on the timed research tasks while I travelled to the third and final town. I wish Niantic keeps this integrated research day with both timed and field research. Overall, I had an amazing day especially since I couldn't care less about the shinies, it is all about the stats for me now, since I am at level 50 for the past 6+ months and level 60 is still quite far. However, I would have loved it if tyrogue was the only hatchable pokemon from the 7 km eggs. I hatched about 4 eggs and NONE of them was a tyrogue, and it was the same for almost everyone in my community which is full of students since this is a university town. All in all, it was a fun event to play especially if you expected nothing like I did to begin with.
I had a similar day, I hadn't planned to play at all but ended up going out because my family had stuff to do. It was fun for a little free Sunday event.
I also really enjoy when they do things like this. But when it’s the research day when you have to spin stops to get the boosted shiny Pokémon I can’t really go anywhere for that. So I really like when you can sit at home and do it
I really liked this style of event it was free, easy and gave a lot of checks for a rare shiny. I like events that still require a grind to get the big prize but you definitely can get it if you play. The rate was kinda like the cottonee event where it was still pretty hard to get but if you got one or two it felt like a real win.
I got a shiny Lee real early and had hopes that it was going to be a great day, 6 hours later it was still the only shinny I got for the day. A little disappointed but happy to get one
Best event for me so far. First quest, a shiny. Then after appraisal, it turned out to be a shundo! Then rest of the day I ended up with 5 hitmontops, and a lee and a chan.
Didn't plan on doing this, but ultimately caved and completed all 10 pages. The best part was getting 0 shiny ones, lol. 😅 I agree with most players. The shiny rate was not as high as expected. All well, at least it was free for everyone. 👍
I got a hundo Top, shiny Lee (needed) & a ton of XP. It was alright. Really just wanted to grind for the XP more than anything. Play for a couple hours until we got tired of walking lol
Got my shiny hitmontop after 106 checks with 15 minutes left of the event, big relief! Also got 2 lee (1 xxl) and 1 chan from around 500 catches/checks. If you didnt have them all, the event was pretty nice and was fun that the shinies werent community day common.
I don’t mind research days. The last one that felt like a comm day with true boosted shiny rates was the one before Cranidos and Shieldon. Ever since, they’ve all been mediocre at best. Wasn’t disappointed with this one, but more am I singing it’s praises. Had I been able to play the entire event, I would have found a hundo top. I caught two shiny Chans, and one shiny top. Had to evolve a Tyrogue for a shiny Lee. I played for three hours.
Following shinyrates.com showed that they just cut the shiny rate in half, 1/250ish... Which is quite interesting given previously all these years we've only ever had three "odds" - Perma boosted 1/64, semi boosted 1/125 odds, and full odds 1/500
The event wasn't too awful for me. Got x3 shiny tops from the 40 encounters, caught a Lee, a Hundo top from field research and all 3 in XXLs (I collect the big ones!)
I got my 2nd hundo ever at the laundrymat with my aunt, lol. My first one was back in October of 2022, and it was an extra small non weather boosted pumpkaboo, which I then evolved into a gourgheist a few hours later.

Overall, I had a good time despite the Tyrogue problem 💖 I actually didn’t have Shiny Hitmonchan, so now I only need Shiny Jynx for my Shiny Kanto Dex to be completed 💖 Thank You 🙏 Super Much for the Shiny Luck 💖
The double xp with easy excellent throws is what did it for me this event. I also got a shiny lee and a shiny natu out of all things lol i enjoyed the event. Had fun going around town me and my doggo
Played during most of the event and only got one shiny Hitmonlee, (nicknamed him Rock-Lee, lol) Shiny rates were low, but still, happy to get him at least. I did hatch a full odds shiny tyrogue from a 5km egg back last year in April, happy with that as well.
I had other things to do this day, but was able to play for about 2 hrs, I managed to complete the timed research and do a few field researches from local pokestops. I got one hundo and one shiny hitmontop from the field researches, no shiny hitmonlee/chan, didn't even bother going for the eggs. As I already had a hundo hitmontop and all of them shiny, it was perfectly fine to not be able to play all day. They are not my favourite pokemon and hard to catch so all good. I do agree on the boosted shiny thing, I heard of others who played a lot more and did not get a single shiny hitmonlee/chan.
Fair time. Got 2 shiny tops. No other shinies. So disappointed by shiny rates But already had them all so not too bad. My focus was the catch xp boost. Getting 1.5 million xp to get closer to level 48 was huge for me on getting my goal ov level 50 by spring of 2024.
Catch rate could have been upped as well. If they are going to give us more exp for nice/great/excellent then up the catch rate. Whats the point in more exp if most are breaking out anyway? The 10hours seemed overkill imo. Go Fest/Tours sure those can be 10hrs and it makes sense. But this event is longer than comm days, research days, raid days, etc. Why? Otherwise I agree with everything else you said JT.

I got lucky with tyrogue : before the event, i hatched a 5 km egg and it was a shiny tyrogue, started to hatch 7 km eggs, first egg of the event, was shiny tyrogue.. got 1 hitmontop from the timed research and 1 hitmonlee from wild, and i played just a few hours, mainly focused to hatch the eggs
Didn't bother with 7k eggs after watching ProPlanty's early video. I doubt that anything was boosted. I still love this game but I don't get excited for events anymore because of all the disappointment.
I was massively disappointed in this event. I was desperately trying to get shiny Hitmonchan and Hitmontop, and I only got one of those two. I didn’t even bother with eggs. They shouldn’t promise a boost if they’re not gonna follow through and REALLY boost the shinies. I also got every possible combination of 98% you can get for Hitmontop
Hey JT! I managed to get a 92% Shiny Hitmontop from the research! I also got a Shiny Hitmonlee from the wild and a Shiny Buneary! Pretty good little event!
I've learned to never have any expectations of any event, especially when it comes to getting a shiny. I used this one to complete my Kanto catches for the masterwork research. Quit expecting everything to be a shundo and you'll come off much happier...
I got two shiny hitmonlees, two shiny hitmonchans & one shiny Hitmontop during this event. The first spawn I clicked during this event was a hitmonlee & it was shiny. I really wanted a hundo tyrogue.
I did not play that much as I had to stay at home, but still managed to get a Hitmontop from the 3rd page of the research and less than 10 minutes later I found a shiny Hitmonchan. I'm happy because those two were what I wanted the most from this little event.
to put Tyrogue for an event from 5km eggs into 7km eggs and not even make it smaller pool ,is ridiculous . But I like those small sunday events , I had already all shiny , so it was not too big of an disappointment for me, that I did not get any shiny ... it was fun anyway .
It honestly felt like they forgot to turn on boosted shiny odds. I only got two shinies and I walked around for 3 hours! Only got 1 Hitmontop from the research(Not the timed research either), and one Hitmonchan. I already have a Hitmonlee from GOfest so I wasn't too bummed about it but still, it felt like I either didn't have any luck or Shiny Odds were just never boosted.
The only reason I played this event cuz I was hoping to get a shiny Hitmonchan to complete my set, instead I got two hundos and one shundo Hitmontop, the shundo being the only shiny encounter. Even though I did get lucky, not a huge fan of the event at all. Definitely lack luster.
Completed research, caught 200+, checked more. No shinies. Fortunately, already have all 3. Without an apparent boost, didn't see any reason to play all day. Bummed about eggs, didn't know pool was diluted. Only 55% of my hatches were Tyrogue. Still have a batch of 9 incubated. I like this type of Research event, but this one dull for me.
I now have the full shiny Hitmon set!! before the event I had gotten a Lee from the wild, but during the event my first chan that a clicked on was shiny! After ward i wan doing the quest when i got the Top! :DD
I don't know how much "boosted" they were, maybe I'm just unlucky. I found 1 shiny Hitmonlee with more than 600 check, 1 shiny Hitmonchan with almost 700 check and my very first Hitmontop was shiny, but then not a single one for something like 200 more check. Same thing my wife, but she didn't even find a single Hitmontop
Hey JT, you will not believe my luck, yesterday as soon as the event went live, my second check was a shiny hitmonlee, then i got the shiny hitmontop from page 9 of the research.. But how i was real lucky, is today when i was in the bus going to work, i popped my daily incense in hopes of seeing a bird... i mean, what other reasons right 😅 guess what, my third spawn, was a galarian moltres.. it took so long to attack, but i golden razz excellent ultra balled it, and i shock once.. but ran.... THEN MY NEXT SPAWN WAS A FREAKING GALARIAN ARTICUNO... i said to myself, "im not even gonna wait for you to attack" and i just went straight for a golden razz great ultra ball.... and it got caught. 😭😭 im so happy, the moltres i already have but a second one with better ivs would be nice especially since i use it for ultra league.. but i caught the atricuno instead and im so grateful
I agree with your take on this event. what boost was there for wild hitmonchan and hitmonlee??? Hitmontop felt like 1/64 I got 2 shinies: hitmontop and hitmonchan… this event was lackluster for sure
I had shiny hitmonchan prior to the event but i got a shiny hitmontop like halfway through the limited research and after walking for hours, checking every hitmonlee i saw, i finally took a break. I went to the store and the minute i got out of the car, i checked pogo and one of the first ones i clicked was a shiny lee. I also got a hundo sudowoodoo from a research task during the event but that was how my hitmon event went
Shiiny Tyrogue was my main goal and I am so glad I got shiny one from first batch and I got another G Farfetch'd from second batch. I got shiny Top and Lee early on and got hundos Top as well
Completed all the timed research but didn’t get the shiny Hitmontop, kinda disappointed about that😔. But did come up on a shiny Hitmonlee in the wild👍🏾
you know i thought this event was on for a few days but, imo, a better event then the hoenn tour, for less than 1 hour i got 1 of each shiny and the hitmontop was a 98% 921 CP, shame it couldnt be 3 higher but oh well! though, i had already caught 2 shiny hitmontops so that wasnt so needed!
I got a shiny hitmonlee and hitmontop, aswell as a hundo hitmontop and a shiny cranidos from a random raid, probably my best event that wasnt a community day
This entire event boils down to Niantic blatantly misleading everyone about the 7km eggs, which should make everyone question their integrity and ask what else they could possibly be hiding from us or misleading us on.. this company is actually deplorable. Of course, most of the larger content creators will not condemn Niantic for it (gotta secure that Niantic bag $$), and after a few weeks this will all be forgotten as people continue to throw money at these scumbags.
I really played the event to try to get shiny Hitmonlee which is the only one I didn't have (got it!). However, I ended up hatching a shiny Tyrogue on the first egg. I was shocked. I hatched a few more but nothing after that. Lol
Jt I feel your pain I got zero shiny tops out of my 40 checks my son amd gf got a few. I did get 1 wild shiny chan...but like you I have them all shiny so it wasn't a big deal. Love the vids keep up the good work.
I also didn’t do eggs cuz I opened gifts early but otherwise enjoyed the event. Don’t think shiny rates were too boosted as I walked 34km but did get one shiny of top Lee and Chan
It was only good for XP really. Went with 5 others and only one person got the hitmontop shiny. Thankfully it was my son so he wasnt complaining the whole time and it was his first research check. Other than that it did not feel boosted at all. Did all the tasks plus 70 other research tasks and nothing for any of us. Some seemed to be super lucky I see online with 2-4 shiny hitmontops...but for our group playing 6 hours, it was pretty poor. Maybe next time Niantic will give more than the usual vague description like they did with the eggs and the "boosted shiny rates" but as a player for 6 years I doubt it sadly. I have learned to not expect much from any event unless its paid and even then its a toss up :D.
I played the whole event (10 am-8 pm)and got a hundo hitmontop, and all shinyes except for tyrogue. It took me like 6 hours to get my first shiny. I do not feel that the odds were 1/64, more like 1/128 or even 256.
I played 1h or so to complete timed research task while completing field research as well. I got 2 hundos and 4 hitmontop shinys. I didn’t see any shiny chan or shiny lee. Regarding tyrogue, I simply avoided them
played 6 hours and had over 1000 encounters with lee and chan and got one shiny chan and one top.... woulda liked to get all the shinys but glad i got the chan at least. did find a 100 lee tho so that was cool
I got 6 shiny Hitmontops & 2 shiny Hitmonlees a total of 8 shinies ✨✨✨ it was better yesterday for me. unlike the Hoenn tour which I only ended up with 1 shiny which was Unown O from the incense sadly.
I thought the names of these pokemon were the same in french and in english i m quite surprised (It s Kapoera / Kicklee / tygnon), Great content by the way
I started late and, seeing that the tasks seemed easy enough, I didn't worry about it. But when it went to the catch 10 of these and those, I wasn't able to make it. Plus, no shinies! 😡
This maybe a good event for those who want to get more xp . Just hit every success excellent curveball throw + first throw + etc with the bonus 2X xp event & lucky eggs effect , you can gain much more. May eventually level up during this event . For me, I managed to get 1 shiny Hitmonchan from incense & no luck on Hitmontop & Hitmonlee. But I was able to get myself a 98% Hitmontop from timed research for the first time. Believe me or not, while shiny hunt on the wild, I got myself a wild hundo Hoppip which I was totally unexpected.
Three of us did all ten pages of research, only one got a shiny. Way too many non-event research tasks (seemed like only 1/5 or so rate for us on getting event research). Hard to grind for three hours and not get a shiny. They need the rate to be high enough that if you do all 10 pages of research tasks you should at least likely get one.
No way these rates were boosted! I completed the entire research got myself a shiny Hitmontop, but must’ve checked 150+ chans and lees each and got nothing
I really enjoyed it! I played a lot and put a lot of effort in, and I ended up with some shinies and a shiny hitmontop which I wanted! So I don’t mind it that Niantic makes us work for it a bit. Feels more rewarding.
I got 4 shinies from the timed research which I wasn't expecting and a hundo so I got 1 in 10. I got 2 wild hitmonchan but hitmonlee was the one i needed but never found it 😭
! got a single bad iv shiny Hitmontop from one of the research encounters. I checked over a hundred other Hitmons and no shinies. Definitely not boosted rates at all.

Agree, I don't go out that much so it is nice to be able to get shinies even if you stay at home or just are not able to go out.

Incredibly, I got three shiny hitmontop from the research, 2 being back to back. I would say this small amount event was worth it from my experience.

The boost should’ve been good enough so people can get atleast 1 of each especially if they were grinding

I got one chan shiny the entire event. But at least I have 1 shiny Lee, 1 shiny top (mirrored lucky now), & 3 shiny chans from go fest 2022.

I've learned to never have any expectations of any event, especially when it comes to getting a shiny. I used this one to complete my Kanto catches for the masterwork research. Quit expecting everything to be a shundo and you'll come off much happier...
Dude I did a lot of hitmontop and got done with my 385 for johto so that helped
I got two shiny hitmonlees, two shiny hitmonchans & one shiny Hitmontop during this event. The first spawn I clicked during this event was a hitmonlee & it was shiny. I really wanted a hundo tyrogue.
I did not play that much as I had to stay at home, but still managed to get a Hitmontop from the 3rd page of the research and less than 10 minutes later I found a shiny Hitmonchan. I'm happy because those two were what I wanted the most from this little event.
to put Tyrogue for an event from 5km eggs into 7km eggs and not even make it smaller pool ,is ridiculous . But I like those small sunday events , I had already all shiny , so it was not too big of an disappointment for me, that I did not get any shiny ... it was fun anyway .
Surprisingly i had a good event. I got a shiny hitmontop, shiny hitmonlee, a hundo hitmontop and a nundo hitmonlee. Solid
I had a shiny Hitmonchan run away from me early in the event. I became blinded with rage and ended up stopped playing
I enjoyed your video. Luckely I had a 98% shiny Hitmontop, 922 cp. I also caught several shiny Hitmonchans and one Hitmonlee.
It honestly felt like they forgot to turn on boosted shiny odds. I only got two shinies and I walked around for 3 hours! Only got 1 Hitmontop from the research(Not the timed research either), and one Hitmonchan. I already have a Hitmonlee from GOfest so I wasn't too bummed about it but still, it felt like I either didn't have any luck or Shiny Odds were just never boosted.

The only reason I played this event cuz I was hoping to get a shiny Hitmonchan to complete my set, instead I got two hundos and one shundo Hitmontop, the shundo being the only shiny encounter. Even though I did get lucky, not a huge fan of the event at all. Definitely lack luster.
I got 2 shiny Hitmontop from the timed reaserches and i also got 1 shiny Hitmonchan. I guss i just got lucky.....
Out of the whole event I got what I wanted, I got my lee and hitmontop they are the only ones I needed so I’m very happy
Completed research, caught 200+, checked more. No shinies. Fortunately, already have all 3. Without an apparent boost, didn't see any reason to play all day. Bummed about eggs, didn't know pool was diluted. Only 55% of my hatches were Tyrogue. Still have a batch of 9 incubated. I like this type of Research event, but this one dull for me.
I got lucky on an egg! And 1 Hitmonlee but that's it for 4 hrs of grinding. I totally agree with you. It could have been better
I now have the full shiny Hitmon set!! before the event I had gotten a Lee from the wild, but during the event my first chan that a clicked on was shiny! After ward i wan doing the quest when i got the Top! :DD
I played all day and didn’t get a single shiny anything. But this morning I got a shiny Zubat and I’ve been after that one for awhile!
Shiny zubat looks so cool on the catch screen, especially in the dark! I have 3 of em.

I don't know how much "boosted" they were, maybe I'm just unlucky.
I found 1 shiny Hitmonlee with more than 600 check, 1 shiny Hitmonchan with almost 700 check and my very first Hitmontop was shiny, but then not a single one for something like 200 more check.
Same thing my wife, but she didn't even find a single Hitmontop

Out of the hitmon task done it all in less than 2hours got back to back shiny hitmontops. My woman got a 100%iv one and hatched a 100%iv alaon meowth.
Hey JT, you will not believe my luck, yesterday as soon as the event went live, my second check was a shiny hitmonlee, then i got the shiny hitmontop from page 9 of the research..
But how i was real lucky, is today when i was in the bus going to work, i popped my daily incense in hopes of seeing a bird... i mean, what other reasons right 😅 guess what, my third spawn, was a galarian moltres.. it took so long to attack, but i golden razz excellent ultra balled it, and i shock once.. but ran....
THEN MY NEXT SPAWN WAS A FREAKING GALARIAN ARTICUNO... i said to myself, "im not even gonna wait for you to attack" and i just went straight for a golden razz great ultra ball.... and it got caught. 😭😭 im so happy, the moltres i already have but a second one with better ivs would be nice especially since i use it for ultra league.. but i caught the atricuno instead and im so grateful

I got 2 shinies: hitmontop and hitmonchan… this event was lackluster for sure
I had shiny hitmonchan prior to the event but i got a shiny hitmontop like halfway through the limited research and after walking for hours, checking every hitmonlee i saw, i finally took a break. I went to the store and the minute i got out of the car, i checked pogo and one of the first ones i clicked was a shiny lee. I also got a hundo sudowoodoo from a research task during the event but that was how my hitmon event went
Shiiny Tyrogue was my main goal and I am so glad I got shiny one from first batch and I got another G Farfetch'd from second batch. I got shiny Top and Lee early on and got hundos Top as well
For me its good, specially the xp bonuses and I caught 2 lees, 1 top and 1 chan. my top is 93% iv from timed research
Completed all the timed research but didn’t get the shiny Hitmontop, kinda disappointed about that😔. But did come up on a shiny Hitmonlee in the wild👍🏾
you know i thought this event was on for a few days but, imo, a better event then the hoenn tour, for less than 1 hour i got 1 of each shiny and the hitmontop was a 98% 921 CP, shame it couldnt be 3 higher but oh well! though, i had already caught 2 shiny hitmontops so that wasnt so needed!
I got a shiny hitmonlee and hitmontop, aswell as a hundo hitmontop and a shiny cranidos from a random raid, probably my best event that wasnt a community day
Enjoyed the event but not a single shiny, which was pretty disappointing. Really wanted the Hitmontop.
This entire event boils down to Niantic blatantly misleading everyone about the 7km eggs, which should make everyone question their integrity and ask what else they could possibly be hiding from us or misleading us on.. this company is actually deplorable.
Of course, most of the larger content creators will not condemn Niantic for it (gotta secure that Niantic bag $$), and after a few weeks this will all be forgotten as people continue to throw money at these scumbags.
I really played the event to try to get shiny Hitmonlee which is the only one I didn't have (got it!). However, I ended up hatching a shiny Tyrogue on the first egg. I was shocked. I hatched a few more but nothing after that. Lol
Jt I feel your pain I got zero shiny tops out of my 40 checks my son amd gf got a few. I did get 1 wild shiny chan...but like you I have them all shiny so it wasn't a big deal. Love the vids keep up the good work.
Played only 2hours also, the tops have been terrible to catch 🙄 but i've got a shiny one in the step 7/10.
I got lucky with a Shundo himtontop! I also got 3 hitmonlee, 1 hitmonchan. Best catch of all was an XXL shiny Galarian Farfetch'd in the wild.

I also didn’t do eggs cuz I opened gifts early but otherwise enjoyed the event. Don’t think shiny rates were too boosted as I walked 34km but did get one shiny of top Lee and Chan
It was only good for XP really. Went with 5 others and only one person got the hitmontop shiny. Thankfully it was my son so he wasnt complaining the whole time and it was his first research check. Other than that it did not feel boosted at all. Did all the tasks plus 70 other research tasks and nothing for any of us. Some seemed to be super lucky I see online with 2-4 shiny hitmontops...but for our group playing 6 hours, it was pretty poor. Maybe next time Niantic will give more than the usual vague description like they did with the eggs and the "boosted shiny rates" but as a player for 6 years I doubt it sadly. I have learned to not expect much from any event unless its paid and even then its a toss up :D.
I played the whole event (10 am-8 pm)and got a hundo hitmontop, and all shinyes except for tyrogue. It took me like 6 hours to get my first shiny. I do not feel that the odds were 1/64, more like 1/128 or even 256.
I played 1h or so to complete timed research task while completing field research as well. I got 2 hundos and 4 hitmontop shinys. I didn’t see any shiny chan or shiny lee. Regarding tyrogue, I simply avoided them

During this day I got 3 hitmontops and 1 hitmoncham shiny, 2 of the hitmontops were on the last stage and were both the same CP and both 10 10 15 lol

played 6 hours and had over 1000 encounters with lee and chan and got one shiny chan and one top.... woulda liked to get all the shinys but glad i got the chan at least. did find a 100 lee tho so that was cool
I got 6 shiny Hitmontops & 2 shiny Hitmonlees a total of 8 shinies ✨✨✨ it was better yesterday for me. unlike the Hoenn tour which I only ended up with 1 shiny which was Unown O from the incense sadly.

The event was alright was hopping to see more shines in the whole but was able to do 500k xp with only two lucky eggs to level up so I was happy
My second hitmontop was Shiny, so i didnt bother to really grind afterwards

I started late and, seeing that the tasks seemed easy enough, I didn't worry about it. But when it went to the catch 10 of these and those, I wasn't able to make it. Plus, no shinies! 😡
This maybe a good event for those who want to get more xp . Just hit every success excellent curveball throw + first throw + etc with the bonus 2X xp event & lucky eggs effect , you can gain much more. May eventually level up during this event . For me, I managed to get 1 shiny Hitmonchan from incense & no luck on Hitmontop & Hitmonlee. But I was able to get myself a 98% Hitmontop from timed research for the first time. Believe me or not, while shiny hunt on the wild, I got myself a wild hundo Hoppip which I was totally unexpected.
loved it as i mentioned yesterday got all 3 shinies and a hundo to boot also picked up a hundo bellsprout
Three of us did all ten pages of research, only one got a shiny. Way too many non-event research tasks (seemed like only 1/5 or so rate for us on getting event research). Hard to grind for three hours and not get a shiny. They need the rate to be high enough that if you do all 10 pages of research tasks you should at least likely get one.
The hitmontop day was kinda good for me because I got two shinys out of the ten pages
No way these rates were boosted! I completed the entire research got myself a shiny Hitmontop, but must’ve checked 150+ chans and lees each and got nothing
I really enjoyed it! I played a lot and put a lot of effort in, and I ended up with some shinies and a shiny hitmontop which I wanted! So I don’t mind it that Niantic makes us work for it a bit. Feels more rewarding.
As a shiny hunter I hated the event. As a level 43 who needs xp I loved it

I got 4 shinies from the timed research which I wasn't expecting and a hundo so I got 1 in 10. I got 2 wild hitmonchan but hitmonlee was the one i needed but never found it 😭
This day was great, i started with 2 shiny burmy, also got 6 shiny hitmontop and 2 hundo. And best of all a shiny alakazam from the daily incense.

I was blessed to hatch a 2* shiny Tyrogue and both my husband and I caught shiny Hitmontop x2.
! got a single bad iv shiny Hitmontop from one of the research encounters. I checked over a hundred other Hitmons and no shinies. Definitely not boosted rates at all.
