    You'll learn about Japanese phonetics, such as pronunciation, rhythm, pitch accent, intonation and so on. Those knowledge will help you sound natural when speaking Japanese.

    Thank you for adding the kanji with furigana. It's super helpful for my reading practice and vocabulary building.

      Sure, of course! I'd like my viewers to get used to kanji even if they don't know any, so I added furigana. I'm glad that it helped you too 😄

    This video had the feel of a documentary. It's encouraging to see so many bookstores doing well, since Amazon has basically taken over the book market in the US (although many still use libraries, too)..

    • @SpeakJapaneseNaturally
      @SpeakJapaneseNaturally  2 года назад +13

      You're right. Small bookstores especially are disappearing in Japan as well. The bookstores in Jinbouchou have some characteristics which appeal to people, so they are still in business, but you never know what the future will bring ... 😢

    This is exactly what I was looking for! I was wishing for a video where it's kind of like... like how a mom would talk to her child and tell the child where they are going, what she is doing, etc. Not in a condescending way or anything, but just like normal conversation about what is going on, like how parents usually do with kids as they walk around. Thank you!

    Jinbouchou will always be associated in my mind with "all you can eat pig liver." Liver was never my favorite food, but I unwittingly committed myself to going to this particular restaurant not understanding exactly what would be served simply because I heard, and only heard, the word 食べ放題. The wait to get in was over an hour but much to my astonishment was worth every minute. You wouldn't have to be vegan to find the sign, just outside the entrance, letting you know the meat they were serving had been slaughtered that morning at 10:50 am, a bit disconcerting, but like fresh sashimi, fresh pig's liver is astonishingly fabulous.
