For those commenting please keep in mind this tutorial is clearly aimed at people above the beginner level. It assumes you have a version of Photoshop with the features he's describing and that you understand basic concepts like how blending affects colours in different situations. To the OP, I think I've seen a similar tutorial in the past, but they didn't sell it very well as it was only ever for a specific effect or they didn't provide examples that demonstrated its true power. Cheers and I'm sure I'll be abusing this technique for a while until it becomes a tool I know how to wield correctly ;)
You are really the only one that still surprises me with things I didnt know in some form or another. ... lately whenever i watch a photoshop vid I eigther know from the before and after how it is done from the start or at least after a minute or so when the presenter mentioned certain keywords (the case were I know the technique but do not immediately have the idea). I will certainly try this one. When I tried something similar it dint look realistic... (and the free to download once weren t much better). Need to become a member @ your site... but at the moment I virtually am putting every penny i have into travel... to get some shoots.
the hot glow style you put onto the sword picture, do you have a tutorial on that at all? I am trying to do a similar effect but not having any luck getting the realistic colors similar to yours
@@Dopecx Figured it out. Click on the gradient symbol in the top left and select the second type of gradient (foreground to transparent). Should do the trick!
The gradient tool doesn't work the way you're showing it a 3:35. Unless there's something I missed in this video, which has cropped out just enough so that the toolbar is out of view entirely. I guess the audience is supposed to figure out what the narrator is doing by some other means.
THANK YOU for all your time and effort that goes in to and creating these videos for us !!

What a simple yet very effective idea brother !
totally liked and subbed
good video, but thats killing me that the top toolbar is cut off.
i agree
Cool!. I liked the animated one you did with styles
Great tutorial on the particle brush! Have you done one for the sparks? Specifically the layer style, how did you achieve the glow effect? Cheers!!
Excellent Tutorial - Thanks!

I need to know this was well
Could you tell me how you did the style? The one with the inner and outer glow.
This is so freaking cool. Thank you!
I did everything you told to do, however, the gradient part 2:55 doesn't just work for me. The gradient tool does nothing if it's on overlay mode.
xenonxi you ever figure it out? I’m having trouble aswell

Super helpful, thank you☺
Thank you so much!
Thanks for being so generous Sir...............................
I did exactly what you did, but I cant define brush preset.. It wil only allow me to define pattern. What did I do wrong?
ESPECTACULAR TRABAJO SALUDOS!
Thank fo helping me.🙏

It works if you change to screen and don't use overlay. Hope that helps.
