This is one of the things im reluctant about when considering children in the future. Men will want kids but essentially want so little responsibility with actually doing the day to day of actually being there to take care of them . They want the woman to do everything and not complain. I see it so often even in married homes and i know thats definitely not what i want. Also, no offense but there are quite a few women who I personally know in the Caribbean, that do the same as you described, and the older children look after the younger children and do many chores while there is little supervision. The older girls tend to miss a lot of school, the girls will again have children young, and the cycle of poverty and multiple children continues. If they are lucky, there is some community support, but the point is that it is impossible to do it all by yourself, and it is definitely not easy. Mrembo Mweusi are you saying that you think it is easy? Because that is what Chucky is saying. I never said it was impossible, I said that it is unlikely that she is sitting around all day. Also, no offense but there are quite a few women who I personally know in the Caribbean, that do the same as you described, and the older children look after the younger children and do many chores while there is little supervision. The older girls tend to miss a lot of school, the girls will again have children young, and the cycle of poverty and multiple children continues. If they are lucky, there is some community support, but the point is that it is impossible to do it all by yourself, and it is definitely not easy. Wow, writing this has made me sad for all the women who slave away everyday only to be accused of “doing nothing”. Enjoy your life gentlemen.
