I’m watching this post for rent announcement and I’m definitely making a landlord to buy this property and convert it into an apartment building as a challenge! Love this build!
I absolutely LOVE builds like this for my stories!!! Thank you SO much for these style of run-down builds. You do such an amazing job, I'd love to see more locations!!
Your run down builds are always my favorite!! My cousin and I found an abandoned train recently and I think that would make for the coolest sims build too
I couldn't decide what to do, and this just made up my mind! I want to have a werewolf run a motel! Also, I LOVE what you did in the parking lot with the grass growing through the big crack! It might seem small, but that's a huge detail that really makes this feel *real*. (You could play a game where an interior designer comes and fixes this up, even!) ...as I realize this replaces the awesome library I have...oof. I'd have rather had this on the 30x30 lot, I think...
the interior designer idea would be so fun, thanks for the inspiration!! and you might be able to just place it on a 30x30 and cut off a little bit of the exterior decor to the left of the office - haven’t tried it to see if any of the building would be cut off, but i think it could work :-)
I love this! Here's another idea that's on theme with this "most requested game features" thing.. try building a car dealership! 👍🏾 Most people still want cars so that works and it'll be completely functional for people who have Get to Work. You can run it as a retail store and tag the cars for sale 😊
Did anyone else think that this would totally be a place that the Winchester brothers stay at, while hunting a werewolf? But it would be one of the episodes where they end up befriending the thing they're hunting because the werewolf doesn't hurt anyone and is just trying to run their motel
This was such a great build. I imagine the room with the baby crib is being rented by someone long term and it was a very last minute, such as their car breaking down and need to wait a week for it before it being repaired since it broke down in the middle of nowhere
My viewers and I got to watch you last week. This gave me such 7 Days to Die vibes! I love that game, and the Sims, you got the grunge motel down perfectly XD
This is such an awesome build, the only addition I would've put in is that city living crime scene outline in the unused room, peeking out of the rug ;) I imagine this is run by some old werewolf guy whose pack are mafia like and this is used as a hideout..
I was so excited when I saw this pop in my feed, but I had life stuff going on, so it sat in my watch later list for awhile until I had time to really watch. I LOVE run down motel type builds for storytelling. I might set it as a generic lot, or national park lot, and then have my sim just stay on the lot for awhile, depending on what I’m doing, I might use cheats to deduct money for time stayed.
I'm doing the NSB challenge again and about to start my orange gen. This gives me so many ideas. She or he could live here being a not so scary criminal and run a bakery out of one of the rooms, lol. The cupcake machine in the laundry area would be epic 😅 Your builds are so incredible and this one might be my favorite yet!
This build is so incredible!!! With this chilly weather, it's giving serious Twilight vibes - I'm not sure if you've ever done any builds from that universe or if you even like that series, but that would be something cool to do in this sort of style!
I had a cute idea for a build last night, and since my computer doesn't support Sims anymore, I was hoping maybe I could watch you build it 😂 It could even be a series because it would probably take a while. I was thinking you could make a 64x64 lot into a tiny community. So a whole bunch of tiny houses, maybe a tiny school, a tiny supermarket, stuff like that. Alternatively, I was thinking it could be cute to make a cramped little city (also on a 64x64 lot) where you commute by bike only, so the streets are really narrow. Probably something Europe inspired. And if it was a city you could have tons of apartments, little coffee shops and things, cute little cluttered up alleyways, etc
Love this build! I built a motel in Strangerville forever ago and its such a fun way to play. I moved in several sims with different family dynamics and story lines. I thought it was interesting to be able to play with several families at once all with see how they intertwine. Some sims come and go, others seem to just stick around. It was so fun I've gone back and played on the same lot a few different times after some time has passes.
Top requests: A band-themed game pack with new instruments and include some garage-themed build/buy (possible a new garage door like city living, but more residential than industrial?) A fairies game pack with a world inspired by Ireland/Scotland with lots of interact-able/walkable world to explore around the lots (kinda like horse ranch??) and their wings to be fairly customizable in CAS A career-focused pack (expansion or game pack?) like Get to Work that introduces more interactive careers. We’re getting bored :/ Obviously, a hotel/resort/motel expansion pack with an interactive career like Dream Home Decorator + Get Together/Dine Out where you can design & run your own hotel. Maybe including a world that has both a nice resort area & a dingy gross motel area and based upon a world from the Southern hemisphere to switch it up. Maybe also introducing better buffet tables to the Sims 4. More build-item kits that include a whole set of matching items like columns, fences, stairs, windows, doors, landscaping, etc. Comment below any other top requests you’ve seen!
thank you for posting this at the perfect time!! i absolutely adore your run-down and longer builders 😩🫶 your videos always help me fall asleep despite my insomnia (it's really a compliment) and i can't believe you posted this right when i was going to bed 🤭❤️ seriously your builds always give me an odd sense of comfort (especially this kind) and they're always so homey(?) 🥹 thank you for this amazing build! 🥰
Really love this build!! Have been wishing for a good Vampire Hotel/Motel space on the gallery for a long time now and this is basically exactly what I was dreaming of - just werewolves instead of vampires and rundown instead of spooky and outdated.
This is an absolutely incredible build and very well-detailed! If I had to offer a very small piece of criticism, it’d be that the flower boxes on the windows look a little too nice for what you’re going for.
When I build motels I make them my Sims home and then get roommates. It can be a pain with locking doors, bt the gameplay is fun. This build is delightfully gross! Perfect for story telling.
Tonya, you always make the most incredible builds and I always look to your builds for inspo when I’m building my own. I really believe you’re one of the best sims builders ❤️
your builds are always incredible! this one really hits bc i just finished vacationing in an area with a ton of these "charming" & disgusting roadside motels lol. love this & hope to see more run-down builds from you in the future! (does anyone here know if the game randomly spawns werewolves? i've always wanted to buy the pack bc the build/buy items are so well made but i really don't want werewolves in my game lmao)
I immediately want to pretend I'm running this motel. I know I won't make any money doing it, but I'm imagining using the roommate system and the stay over system, for long term and short term tenants. It kind of makes sense you wouldn't make any money running this hotel! I can see my sim doing side hustles to make money on the side. Maybe they're a little crafty and have some kind of online business.
I never play tested but usually I build motels then put it under rental but I usually do it with some type of dark or ‘horror’ storyline. Almost like your sim is traveling and stop at some shady hotel that only has one room left with “secrets”😅
I can imagine a journalist coming to stay here to investigate for their next article, meeting the other guests/residents, and maybe gets bitten by a werewolf in the process?
I believe in Sims 1 there was a vacation spot that was a hotel with a boardwalk for games. I sort of miss that. I believe there was a winter spot to for snow boards and snowman making and snowball fights. And a summer one like the granite falls idea cabins and fishing and archery. That's been so long ago my memory fails me LOL Is there anyone here old enough to remember that?
This turned out amazingly gross haha I feel like this would be so fun for a rags to riches. Like maybe you earn money to rent a room and then decide to buy the whole lot and renovate it as you earn money!!
This could be fun for a werewolf tribe storyline? Like, the motel never has vacancy because it's just a front for the werewolf den. Great build across the board!
There is a mod that lets you have motels/resorts as just a lot type for trip purposes or lets you run the lot as a motel/resort owner... it’s by KawaiiStacie…
I’m watching this post for rent announcement and I’m definitely making a landlord to buy this property and convert it into an apartment building as a challenge! Love this build!
omg yes!!! so glad you like it!
I absolutely LOVE builds like this for my stories!!! Thank you SO much for these style of run-down builds. You do such an amazing job, I'd love to see more locations!!
Thank you so much!!
Your run down builds are always my favorite!! My cousin and I found an abandoned train recently and I think that would make for the coolest sims build too
aw thank you! Ooh probably!
This would be such a great build for the for rent pack. They could be converted into studio apartments, or maybe like a temporary housing set up.
I couldn't decide what to do, and this just made up my mind! I want to have a werewolf run a motel! Also, I LOVE what you did in the parking lot with the grass growing through the big crack! It might seem small, but that's a huge detail that really makes this feel *real*. @@soupsierra I was thinking the same! And you're welcome, this place seems perfect for a decorator to come dress up bit by bit!
I love this! Multi-rental ability added.
Proceed with chaos.
I’m getting supernatural vibes I LOVE IT
i really love run-down builds and i never really noticed/realised that moonwood mill would be so good for this style
I love your weird builds. Like you your regular houses are great don't get me wrong but your odd builds are where you really shine.
This is such an awesome build, the only addition I would've put in is that city living crime scene outline in the unused room, peeking out of the rug ;) I imagine this is run by some old werewolf guy whose pack are mafia like and this is used as a hideout..

That's a really cute idea! Super ambitious, too. I just finished a town square on a 30x40 lot and it might be my favourite thing I've built
10/10, sam and dean winchester approve.
I was **JUST** about to comment this!! I can totally see the boys investigating this place!
YES!
I love when builds get super detailed like this. 👍
Okay at first I was apprehensive im ngl but ur storytelling and unique decorations reaally sold me i need this in my game YESTERDAY
OMGee! I loved this so much! Makes me want to see what could be done with a “posh” hotel and spa!
I love the shadiness of this build. You get a feeling that you might not leave once you check in. Awesome job!😊 👍🏼👍🏼

These builds tell such a great story
I LOVEE run down builds!! This turned out so good!!! It reminded me vaguely of the game “Road 96”

this reminds me of the motel from teen wolf!! i love this build it’s so detailed!!
These streams were so fun! I love how much story goes into each and every corner of this build. The attention to detail is incredible!
I love grungy builds! And this is yet another great one you've built! Have an amazing day!
This reminds me of life is strange for some reason. I love life is strange's vibe, and I feel like this would fit right in with the world
This gives me so much inspiration to write a story about tbh
Really love this build!! Have been wishing for a good Vampire Hotel/Motel space on the gallery for a long time now and this is basically exactly what I was dreaming of - just werewolves instead of vampires and rundown instead of spooky and outdated.
You capture the vibe! I think I'd feel safer sleeping in my car
I really liked the storytelling that went into this world building!
I love builds like this! It’s so going in my personal save file! Gimme more danger !
This is an absolutely incredible build and very well-detailed!
If I had to offer a very small piece of criticism, it’d be that the flower boxes on the windows look a little too nice for what you’re going for.
This feels like a place Dan Bell would film an episode of 'Another Dirty Room' at and I mean that with love :)
I love your builds, they're so cool :D!
OMG CHUU🤭🤭
Ughh so gooood. This scratched an itch for me 😅❤
I LOVE this!! The run down builds are amazing
When I build motels I make them my Sims home and then get roommates. It can be a pain with locking doors, bt the gameplay is fun. This build is delightfully gross! Perfect for story telling.
This is so awesome!!!
Tonya, you always make the most incredible builds and I always look to your builds for inspo when I’m building my own. I really believe you’re one of the best sims builders ❤️
thanks for your hard work, you literally put me at ease after a hard day
omg this was awesome!! loved the one closed off room for staff😂 I just got the "hotel mod" to try until they put them in the game
I love your builds and storytelling ❤❤❤
I love this! Can’t wait to DL it!
I really love this content!! You did so GOOD❤
Love it! I so wish Sims would add a hotel game pack!
I love this build 🫶🏼
This is absolutely amazing 😍 I love these kinds of builds. It also reminds me of Supernatural 😅❤
I would literally cry if I had to stay here💀 so great job lol
you make my jaw drop every video
This is insanely creative! Incredible! It’s so fun seeing builds that are a bit more run down 😯
your builds are always incredible! this one really hits bc i just finished vacationing in an area with a ton of these "charming" & disgusting roadside motels lol. love this & hope to see more run-down builds from you in the future!
(does anyone here know if the game randomly spawns werewolves? i've always wanted to buy the pack bc the build/buy items are so well made but i really don't want werewolves in my game lmao)
You can restrict them transforming/rampaging to moonwood mill i believe. There is some kind of setting
So cute!
SO amazing. As always!
It reminds me of the motel place of The Walking Dead the game part 1 😍 love it
I’d love to see a coffee shop build 😍😍😍
This is so cool!
Also you get set the lot as General and then visit it like it's motel and there will be random NPCs who come by and use it as well.
Coming back to this, I realize that I'd love to see an inner-city version of the 'rundown motel' build.
Love this, kinda wish you had hidden a body outline under one of the beds though lol 😅
Yes. Let the Dr.Gluon flow through you. 😊
LOVE!!!!!
I immediately want to pretend I'm running this motel. I know I won't make any money doing it, but I'm imagining using the roommate system and the stay over system, for long term and short term tenants. I'm dying to see someone build a boarding stable for owners as well as horses; would you consider doing such a build?
perfect!
You really are the clutter queen
Can you make a tiny house for a pageant queen? I do pageants myself and would love to see a build like that!
The handicapped parking spots 🥹💕 I’ve never really seen any other sims RUclipsrs add it to their parking lots, thank you so much Gryphi for doing that
omg this is exactly like that motel from teen wolf, in s3
I can imagine a journalist coming to stay here to investigate for their next article, meeting the other guests/residents, and maybe gets bitten by a werewolf in the process?

“I’m so proud of how this build turned out - it’s disgusting” 😂💚
This turned out amazingly gross haha I feel like this would be so fun for a rags to riches. Like maybe you earn money to rent a room and then decide to buy the whole lot and renovate it as you earn money!!
It’s giving Schitts Creek
Quick question, how did you fins the floor crack in the Get Famous pack? I have debug and live edit turned on but do not see it.
I'm here for disgusting!!!
i live behind a hotel, the car park is painfully accurate
oh my gosh i beg of u to build the cousins house from the summer i turned pretty i love that beautiful house
the way you stacked the strangerville floor stains to make them look darker made me physically cringe 😭😂 this build is perfectly grungy lol I love it
This could be fun for a werewolf tribe storyline? Like, the motel never has vacancy because it's just a front for the werewolf den. Great build across the board!
Ohhh I'm going to have some high-school drop outs live in this. Or maybe run the motel by letting people be "roommates" for a while so I get money.
THE STORY BEHIND !!!
Ooh....maybe do the motel from the TV SHOW Schitts Creek 😅...Hopefully someone can create the sims as well.
I love this build, but that one tile thats not even on the balcony makes me crazy 😅
Hi Tonya ❤️ Can I use this build for a let's play on twitch ? I'll obviously credit you for the amazing build ☺️ Much love 💕
There is a mod that lets you have motels/resorts as just a lot type for trip purposes or lets you run the lot as a motel/resort owner... it’s by KawaiiStacie…
Do you happen to have the tray files? My game won't connect to the gallery for some reason :( I want this in my game so bad! ❤
God I wish we had a motel/hotel pack
Could you make a family home for a wheelchair user. One story, minimal, but bright colours
Can you please create the owner? I need to know what they look like.
The lunchbox the phone is on is totally their cash till thing
YES
There’s a decent chance I’ll be using this as a student housing lot for university. 😅
Is it alright if I use this for a reference in my comic? The characters stay at a motel lol
That's stunning, you're such a great builder! I would love to see #DevonBumpkin to renovate your Motel in his #Designmedevon series ❤
