It's funny you mentioned the E-clips being hard to find if the go flying onto the floor. In my industry we call those Jesus clips, because when you pop them off you yell Jesus and then spend an hour trying to find them.

Hi Dan. I just got a pachinko machine at a garage sale with the intent of cleaning it up and making it functional once again. My question to you is, "Is there anywhere that I might buy plastic parts for parts that are broken. I have a Sankyo machine from about 1972and the upper tray was taped onto the machine because the plastic holes on the backside of the part had deteriorated to the point that they would not hold the screws. Any hints of help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time. Ken

Nishijin parts are the easiest ones to find as they made more machines than the other companies. Most of the time you just have to get creative and make something that is functional.
Try going to www.pachitalk.com. They have vintage machine forums where you could post a request to see if anybody has a spare.

Those machines are not that common and I’ve only done a couple. Check my other videos. I usually make a video for whomever is buying the restored machine.
It’s much easier to explain how to age them by phone than text.
    Call me anytime: 585-760-9104
    I’m on EST.
    Thanks
    Dan

I made a video on how to prepare for a restoration. It shows all the tools and cleaners you will need.

I have one an older one. How much are these things worth? I don’t even know how it works. Can I sell it?

Most pachinko machines are worth $25-$50 depending on condition. As the condition of the machine gets better, the value goes up. These machines were mass produced and are quite common and available. I have another video on my channel that deals with this issue.

Hi Dan, I have a Kyoraku. I think its a Type 2, and is manual. Would you have a video on this specific machine? How do I determine the year? Thanks, Bill

Is there any maintenance that can be done on the balls? Or do they just get thrown out when they rust?
P.s what size are they? And how do you tell the age of the pachinko machine?
    I dont read Japanese!

Throw rusty balls away and buy new ones. They are 11 mm diameter. Go to my website and look under FAQ’s on how to age your Machine.

Look for the video that explains how to get ready to restore a machine. All that info is in there.
