Interesting to think that ASU has the best pro group in swimming rn, but I guess with that nice Arizona weather, Bob Bowman as coach and those incredible facilities it would be expected

Great coach and great facilities! Idk if I’d call it the best pro group… that’s up for debate 😉

Looking forward to this, having spent 4 years swimming at that pool, not sure what I haven’t seen.

He swam at the ASU pool leading into the 2016 Summer Olympics. Plus while there, I wanted to give a bit of a campus tour.

Don’t worry, this is just the ASU pool, maybe I’ll have a future trip to U of M. Was only able to visit this one for now.

I never understood why any backstrokers would choose to swim and train in outdoor pools? I think all schools should get rid of them tbh. I wonder if this training effected Hubert Kos? The fact that Ryan murphy has done it for so long is a testimate to just how great he truly is. The wind effects you, the sun effects you, and then you have the temperature, cal berkeley tries to be southern california but it's just not so it's cold in the winter, I'd imagine ASU is super hot at times.

Swimming outdoors is a critical skill!
Some championships are outdoors still - including the Olympics. Fresh air is the best way to practice if you ask me.

@@KyleMillis I think the last Olympics that was ever held outside was 2004 in Athens, people realized it was a generally bad idea so they haven't done it since. I think 2009 in Rome was the last World Championships held outdoors too. So it's def not critical, I'd say. I get that fresh air and sunlight is good for you, unless cali wildfires are happening, but you don't get the same conditions as indoor swimming so you're not practicing what your end of the season meet will be like, in my opinion. I guess agree to disagree but it might be an interesting topic for a video 'is outdoor or indoor training better for the end of the season meet?'

Beautiful university but I’m not a fan of Michael or coach Bob Bowman because they wouldn’t talk to there fans prior to the 2012 Olympics in London in indianapolis your next tour should be Anthony nesty and the University of Florida in Gainesville
