Also...Lzzy Hale and Amy Lee sing a beautiful ballad together. It's called... BREAK IN These female vocalist queens singing together is a masterpiece. ❤❤
Lzzy was the first female vocalist EVER to win a Grammy for Best Rock/Metal Performance. She got it in 2014 with this song. Lzzy is AMAZING!! Her song I AM THE FIRE is an empowering amazing beautiful song. 😍
A couple of things about the band. One, the other guitarist, Joe Hottinger, is her long time live in boyfriend and the drummer is her younger brother Are Jay Hale. This song is the one that won them their first Grammy. Finally, there is a hierarchy of great rocking frontwoman . It started with Pat Benatar, progressed to Amy Lee and, now resides with Lzzy Hale. And that is a well deserved measure of respect for her.
Yeah, finally Halestorm again! This won them a Grammy and was one of a bunch of killer songs off their 2nd album. For Halloween you should try her Ms Hyde or Daughters of Darkness, more Lzzy Hale in Rock Goddess mode and her band kills it every time. Thanks for getting back to them, please don't let it be so long between their songs, they really are worth pursuing and have rockers and ballads for both of you. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶
I saw them live in March where Lzzy was essentially her own support act - did a whole acoustic set for an hour, took a 15min break and came back on with the whole band for a nearly 2hr heave set. It was phenomenal. Already booked to see them again in December on tour with Alter Bridge. Break In (with Amy Lee), Killing Ourselves To Live and Here's To Us are some of my faves
When you see Halestorm live. Make sure you see them indoors. The sound and experience is better. Been to 550 concerts in my life. Halestorm in Nashville 2017 was top 5 perfomances in my life
LOVE your reaction!!! LOVE seeing Miss Amber getting blown away and headbanging, LOVE seeing Jay almost speechless!! Lzzy Hale does NOT get in your face, she kicks you into the dirt and stands on your neck!! You guys are sooo much fun to watch!! THANK YOU!!
This is the first song I ever heard from Halestorm and I have been hooked ever since! Here's To Us is an awesome, anthem like rocker. Do Not Disturb is a throbbing rocker; I Like It Heavy is exactly what the title says; Bad Romance is an excellent cover to Lady Gaga! The other band with an awesome female lead is The Pretty Reckless. Taylor Momsen's smokey, sneering vocals are so powerful-she adds a bluesy swagger to rock songs. Take Med Down, Death By Rock And Rock and Only Love Can Save Me Now are a few of the exceptional songs of this very talented group. I saw both of the bands this August in Syracuse NY and they absolutely killed it live! One of my favorite concerts!!
This is the song that introduced me to Halestorm, and I'm so glad I was listening to a radio station I don't usually listen to or I probably never would have heard of them. When it came on I thought it was an '80s metal band because this song def has that feel. But then I noticed the guitar was a little too clean for '80s and plus, being a child of the '80s myself, how had I never heard a song that would been popular enough to do get airplay 30+ years later. The radio didn't tell me anything the song or band so I had to Google when I got home. Now I have all of their albums and have seen them live 3 times. Amazing band, and Lzzy is definitely one of the modern greats.
Lzzy gave Danny (Daniela Villareal of The Warning) one of her guitars during a concert. I thought that was pretty dope AF on Lzzy's part and Danny looked like she was on cloud nine
Oh, my, goodness! That was great. Loved it. Not heard of this band before, but you can bet your bottom dollar that I will be looking them up for sure. 🔥🔥🔥🥁🎸🎙
Came here from your first LZZY vid reaction, before I'm even finished just to tell you about The Warning, LZZY's nes openers and favorite! But I see other have beat me to it! So I encourage you to listen to, everything as nothing is bad.mI suggest though, do a lil research and start from the beginning as you don't want to STOP! I Support and Appreciate all the Warning Army that is here!! Peace and Health to All! ✌️😷🤟⚡
I've heard a couple of Halestorm songs before...but not this one! Holy crap! Thanks for giving me something I rarely get, the chance to hear a song for the first time along with the reactors! Best wishes from Ireland.
Next for Halestorm... try 'Apocalyptic', 'Do Not Disturb' or 'Mz. Hyde'.. They also have a ballad called 'Dear Daughter' that will have Amber lost in her 'feels'
Lzzy Hale has become one of my favorite singers. I have suggestions. Halestorm - I Am The Fire Halestorm - Wicked Ways Halestorm - Break In feat. Amy Lee The Hu - Song Of Woman feat. Lzzy Hale The Storybooks - Rebel feat Lzzy Hale Halestorm - Cover of Liittle Big Towns Girl Crush for Serious XM. Halestorm - Familiar Taste Of Poison. Also, there is a lyric only song from Halestorm most recent album called Raise Your Horns that is just Lzzy Hale’s voice and a piano.
Saw her/them open for Shinedown. She is amazing live too. Takes me back to where 80's metal should've gone. (I'm an old man. I took my 16 y.o. son to that concert. It was great to see kids "getting it".)
So glad you like this band. They're one of my favorites. They have a new album called Back From the Dead that kicks ass. In This Moment The Pretty Reckless Are two other bands I recommend if you haven't already done so.
*You guys have to check out Lzzy Hale and Amy Lee (Evanescence) doing a duet. The song is called "Break In". The song is beautiful but their voices together make it amazing!*
Halestorm is an American rock band from Red Lion, Pennsylvania, consisting of lead vocalist and guitarist Lzzy Hale, her drummer brother Arejay Hale, guitarist Joe Hottinger, and bassist Josh Smith.
This is the song that won them the Grammy. Raise Your Horns!!! 🤘🤘 Also the song that 5 young ladies from Japan named their band after, Lovebites. More Halestorm- Freak Like Me, Back From the Dead, I Am the Fire.
Love Halestorm, I'm glad you're doing more from this group. Another from them is You Call Me a Bitch Like It's a Bad Thing, and a slightly softer song is Here's to Us
Halestorm, as a band, have been around technically since she was about 13. Her and her brother AJ, the drummer, have been perfecting their sound for a good while. I've seen them three times in concert including this year when they headlined for the first time. She wears these, I call them KISS shoes, six in platforms so that makes her more commanding in concert. My next pick for a song is I Get Off. It's a bit slower and more mellow but it also has the intensity you want. If not that one than A Familiar Taste of Poison. This one is slower but so much intensity and you can really hear her singing voice.
Lzzy is definitely the most talented and most underrated voice in the rock industry. I would suggest that after you check out a few more amazing tracks from Halestorm that you check out a collaboration with a band called The Hu, Song of Women! Amber you will love it!
Wow! I had seen Lzzy host "A Year in Music," and heard her refer to her band, but had never actually heard her music. I had no idea she threw down that hard! That was exceptional.
Finally! You came back to Halestorm. Considering how you both reacted to their first video, I couldn't believe it took you this long to come back around to them. If you want to see a MUCH softer side, check out the duet Lzzy did with Amy Lee of Evanescence called "Break In." It's a full on ballad, not a power ballad as there is no power to it unless you consider both of the voices involved. Then you'd have to say it's very powerful. Personal favorites include "I am the Fire" and "Freak Like Me." The later has this point in the song where she hits this screaming high note and the guitar comes flying up to that note too, only you can't tell where she drops off and where it's just the guitar playing.
Also, definitely react to Lizzy Hale singing live, cause my god is she a powerhouse. Eric Church - Thats Damn Rock n Roll ft Lzzy Hale live the the Country Music Awards would be a dope reaction as well
Halestorm is awesome!! They have so many incredibly fun songs. The head bangers like this one are classics, but they also have songs with great Melodies and some epic ballads. Here’s 2 ballads to check out: “Familiar Taste of Poison” - from several years back. “Raise Your Horns” - off their newest album - she hits some notes that are stratospheric! Well done to those who suggested this great band and for Jay and Amber for checking them out. Long live rock, which actually is in great contemporary hands with bands like Halestorm.
i saw them live in october so goood her vocals were better than ever and you can hear her voice isnt drowned out by the instruments but the instruments are still at a good volume just great live performance
I have been for month requesting you guys react to Halestorm and you guys didn't listen or respond!!!! Now I am telling you guys that the new song is Fire from Halestorm right now OUT on the radio and airwaves.....the song is " This is my Steeple" Check it out!!! It is a great tune from a Great band!!!!
You mentioned Nightwish and Floor Jansen, I got to see them back earlier this year while they were over here in America for a month or so. I had to drive all the way to Maryland from Georgia but it was worth it plus my daughter come along so it was really great for me since I got to spend time with her as well. It was epic to see Floor plus she took time to meet and greet a few of us who stayed behind and was parked next to their bus. She signed my top hat I bought and I got a pic. She is a sweet lady for sure.
My introduction to Lizzie Hale was her live duet doing That’s Damn Rock And Roll with country star Eric Church at the ACMA awards show. Awesome performance and I’d love to see the Rob Squad react to it!
Halestorm quickly became one of my favorite bands when I found them as a kid and never left that spot! The band was actually started by a family of rockers: Lzzy, her father Roger on bass, and her brother AreJay on drums. Their dad eventually felt like he was "too old" for the rocker lifestyle and so was replaced by Josh Smith. The song "Here's to Us" is a send-off to their dad and I highly recommend it! I also recommend Break In (they do a duet version with Amy Lee of Evanessence) and "Familiar Taste of Poison" as they are examples of Lzzy's vocal range. I also love "Mz. Hyde," "Dear Daughter," "Do Not Disturb," "Uncomfortable," and "Bombshell." Actually, I could probably recommend their entire discography...I love them!!! You should also check out "Icon For Hire", another powerful band lead by a woman, especially their song "Now You Know" or "Ready for Combat."
She truly can be a badass, but the range of the band is incredible. Others before me have mentioned favourite titles of mine, but I love the rock anthem of I am the Fire. Picks me up when I am down. Love also I Like It Heavy, Amen, Here’s to Us, The Silence and so many more. Love to see this stuff.
Another one to check out Halestorm Amen... Of if you want something really a bit naughty... I get off. But for something slower and showing off just how amazing her voice really is, the Familiar Taste of Poison. Also check out her duet with Lindsey Stirling - Shatter Me for some amazing violin playing.
This is one of my favorites! Been following them since like 2003! If you ever get the chance, go see them live! Lzzy is just as amazing live! Please check out Here's to us, dirty work, it's not you (live not album version) etc etc etc
Halestorm was one of my favorite bands in high school - I was never much into hard rock but her VOICE!!!!! It mixes so well! I'll toss a suggestion for her duet with Lindsey Sterling - Shatter Me. It has AMAZING violin alongside her vocals and just...... UGH. If you are a violin fan, you have to check out Lindsey Sterling - and Lzzy Hale is a huge bonus on that track.
Hey guys..you must checkout Halestorms.."Dear daughter"...great lyrics,very thought provoking.very emotional..esp if you have daughters..like me who has 3 and 2 grand daughters...Great reactions guys 👍👍👍
A agree that Halestorm (Lzzy Hale) doing a duet with the great Amy Lee is a must !!! Perfect ballad with the two greatest female rock vocalists going.... The song is 'Break In'.
The Warning has been on tour with Halestorm during the summer and fall and the two bands have become close. Lzzy gifted Dany (the Warning's lead guitarist) one of her guitars. Arejay Hale, the drummer, performed with The Warning on one of their songs so that Pau, the drummer, could come out front and play diva. You really should check them out. They are three sisters from Monterrey, Mexico who compose their own music in English (for the most part). The oldest is 22 and the youngest is 17. They have three albums out, the newest is called Error. Last year they also did a collaboration cover of Enter Sandman with Alessia Cara for Metallica's the Blacklist album.
Hell yes! The warning is my new favorite band! I've been trying to get Amber and Jay to react to their survive at tedx for months now! It's good to see I've got some help lol
I forgot how hard this song rocks!!!!! Keep diving deep into Lzzy and discover some serious layers. There’s some live studio stuff out there that’s freaking incredible.
Lzzy for me is the G.O.A.T. of female rock vocalists but the band have a multitude of really great ballads which Lzzy also smashes every time, you must do, "Raise Your Horns", A Familiar Taste Of Poison, Heart Of Novocaine, Terrible Things, and her collaboration with Amy Lee "Break In".
Both of your facial expressions were amazing... But Amber... Wow... I loved it. That is why I love coming here. To see you guys come full circle in music is just Awesome to me. Love you guys :)
'Bet U Wish U Had Me Back', (a real gutwrench power ballad) live from Philly, really showcases their talent and how much fun they have playing. And drummer Arejay just goes nuts on his kit. It's really amazing to see.
You guys should listen to "That’s Damn Rock & Roll" by Eric Church and Lzzy Hale. They performed it at the 2014 CMA Festival. It can be found on Eric Church's 2014 album "The Outsiders." It is banging y'all, especially for the Country Music Awards show.
Whoever produces the Halestorm albums, is great. There first few albums all sound excellent. I love the guitar sound they get, its so heavy sounding! Also, a shout out to drummer, Arejay Hale. The guy is a powerhouse, and one of the most entertaining drummers to see live. Great band. If you want to hear the mollower side if Lzzy, try the song, Familiar Taste of Poison.
I saw Halestorm a few years back at the Buffalo Chip campground during the Sturgis Rally, 50,000 Bikers jumping in a field and you could feel the Earth moving under your feet!!!!
Finally, I’ve been suggesting Halestorm for Female Friday for a long, long, long time. Lzzy can sing like a demon, but she also has a light side and her voice is powerful but she also can be softer. Before I give a list of the Halestorm songs to listen to I want to mention that this song won the Grammy for best Hard Rock/Metal song of 2013. Heavy Halestorm Songs to checkout: I Am The Fire Mz Hyde Mayhem Lighter side of Halestorm Dear Daughter Here’s To Us Bet U Wish U Had Me Back There are many levels to Lzzy Hale and Halestorm. Stay Cool 😎 and… \m/ Stay Metal \m/
Ms Lzzy Hale is a Dynamo. I discovered Halestorm indirectly when I had bought an Album from the Pretty Reckless off of Amazon and they had a suggestion that said if you like the Pretty Reckless, you might like Halestorm. So I bought a Halestorm Album and I have been hooked ever since. Frankly there are only a couple of newer groups that I like. I am a Classic rock guy and thought music went down hill rapidly after the 80's. Liliac, Halestorm and the Pretty Reckless (All female fronted groups) have kept my hopes alive that there is still good Rock and Roll out there. You should check out Liliac, 5 Super-talented Young Siblings who play heavy rock and roll (The oldest is currently 23 and the youngest around 14). They recently released a new extended version of a song that was on their first album. The new version is a montage of some of their concerts and it's amazing. For more Halestorm I like "I am the Fire" and a slower song of theirs called "A familiar taste of Poison". Also Lzzy has been a guest on many other peoples songs, like "A Womans song" by the Hu and Eric Church's "that's damn rock and roll" at the Country Music Awards.
I've said it before, you need to check out Kix. Steve Whiteman, Lzzy Hale's vocal coach, is their lead singer and she credits him for her sound. You should start with Kix's Don't Close Your Eyes which was their biggest hit or Cold Blood, which is another incredible rocker.
I love Lizzy--her power and performance in this, and intensity, and ability to do notes human voices shouldn't be able to do--really hits this out of the park. Thanks for getting this!
It's funny how I learned about this band. I was watching an episode of Bar Rescue and during the relaunch Halestorm performed. I was like whoa....gotta research them more.
While I'm still slightly a bigger fan of The Pretty Reckless (Taylor Momsen's band), I would mention that Halestorm does a lot more than just hard rock. There's the sentimental ballad "Dear Daughter" or the more pop side of of rock "Here's To Us". If you want to go with something heavier, then maybe "It's Not You". For that one I would mention that the live version is harder rock that the studio video.
She is a bad ass but she has a heart of gold! Luckily I get to see them free whenever they are in Michigan or close! So glad to know people! lol The whole band and crew rock! My most favorite musicians I have ever met in my life! Except that one time Joe threw a beer can past my face! LMAO You need to check out lots more by them!
Also...Lzzy Hale and Amy Lee sing a beautiful ballad together. It's called... BREAK IN
These female vocalist queens singing together is a masterpiece. ❤❤

Here, I'll make it easy for you. ruclips.net/video/OUuVReJSrc4/видео.html
⬆️💯
I've suggested this one a few times. I'd love to see the reaction to it. 🙂
Same I’d love a reaction to this masterpiece
She needs to be heard live. She is amazing. The drummer is her brother and does a 10 minute solo, which slaps.
I remember seeing them live years ago, and Arejay had some gigantic drumsticks he was playing around with, funny as hell
@@moose4162 he still does
@@paulmorris4712 @moose4162 yup still using them in 2024. They are do a full drumline set as a band in this year's tour. Just awesome!
As someone who has seen them live multiple times I know exactly what you are talking about.
The first band to win the Grammy heavy metal song of the year with a female lead singer.❤️
Lzzy was the first female vocalist EVER to win a Grammy for Best Rock/Metal Performance. She got it in 2014 with this song.
Lzzy is AMAZING!!
Her song I AM THE FIRE is an empowering amazing beautiful song. 😍
Hear hear.
Day-um! I never heard of them! Now I gotta check out their other songs! Kicking butt!
A couple of things about the band. One, the other guitarist, Joe Hottinger, is her long time live in boyfriend and the drummer is her younger brother Are Jay Hale. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶
I concur
I second the Concur!!
Lzzy is a sweet heart in person. But she has a pair and no afraid to show it. Love them live ❤️
Glad there are still a few bands like Halestorm keeping the Rock torch alive...
When you see Halestorm live. Make sure you see them indoors. The sound and experience is better. Been to 550 concerts in my life. Halestorm in Nashville 2017 was top 5 perfomances in my life
Yes Elgon. I have suggested The Warning too. "Evolve, Choke, or Money". Also more Halestorm. " I am the fire, I get off, or Amen".
THANK YOU!!

My brothers and I saw them in 2011, and the lead singer pointed, and winked at my brother. Such a good show!!! Thanks!!!

Halestorm is definitely one of the best current rock bands. Love them. Thanks for doing them.
I recommend "It's Not You", and "I Get Off" by Halestorm. These are the songs that introduced me to this great band.
Her brother is the drummer, and he actually does a lot of the stage banter. They're both also very nice, at least from my brief experience.
Yeah they definitely should not ignore him. He does great.

I saw Halestorm live years ago and became an instant fan. I had never seen anyone rock so hard in my life.
A Familiar Taste of Poison by Halestorm is a great slow build, that leaves you with chills!

Lzzy Hale has become one of my favorite singers. I have suggestions.
Halestorm - I Am The Fire
Halestorm - Wicked Ways
Halestorm - Break In feat. Amy Lee
The Hu - Song Of Woman feat. Lzzy Hale
The Storybooks - Rebel feat Lzzy Hale
Halestorm - Cover of Liittle Big Towns Girl Crush for Serious XM.
Halestorm - Familiar Taste Of Poison.

When you were commenting on the drummer of Halestorm killing it, if I remembered correctly the drummer Lizzy's brother
So glad you like this band. They're one of my favorites. They have a new album called Back From the Dead that kicks ass.
In This Moment
The Pretty Reckless
Are two other bands I recommend if you haven't already done so.
I was just about to suggest In This Moment, and The Pretty Reckless are another great band. Solid recommendations.
Love both those bands
I love that the lead singer of The Pretty Reckless is also the actress that played Cindy Lou-Who in How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
In This Moment for sure! Whore is probably one of my favorite songs ever, but idk if it's exactly what you're looking to react to lol
You can’t go wrong with either In This Moment or Pretty Reckless. I saw Halestorm and In This Moment in NYC a few years ago and they were both 🔥 🔥🔥
*You guys have to check out Lzzy Hale and Amy Lee (Evanescence) doing a duet. The song is called "Break In". The song is beautiful but their voices together make it amazing!*
Agreed 👍 👍

Yes!
Seconding Freak like Me, I Get Off is another really good one
I hit the like button before I pressed play!!!! Love this song and Band

Halestorm is so talented , Dear Daughter is my favorite song they sing . Thanks for the great reaction! Good vibes and much love 🤗💜🙏😇
I’ve seen them live many times and have been lucky enough to meet them. Whole band is just a bunch of very nice people who love great music!!!
I had the pleasure of talking to Lzzy Hale. She is an amazing person and an amazing singer!
Lzzy is definitely the most talented and most underrated voice in the rock industry. I would suggest that after you check out a few more amazing tracks from Halestorm that you check out a collaboration with a band called The Hu, Song of Women! Amber you will love it!

Lizzy just Rocks!!!!! Pick any song!
Here’s 2 ballads to check out:

Lzzy was so inspired by the warnings guitar player that she gave Dani (the warning) her guitar on stage! You need to check them out!

Here’s To Us!! One of my favorite Halestorm songs! I’ve seen Halestorm several times in concert… 100% recommend!!
This is one of my fav rock songs of all time! So glad yall reacted to it!
My introduction to Lizzie Hale was her live duet doing That’s Damn Rock And Roll with country star Eric Church at the ACMA awards show.
Awesome performance and I’d love to see the Rob Squad react to it!
My first time hearing this band... Love it
🖤LOVE Halestorm!!!
I seen her in concert a couple weeks ago at pointfest in St. Louis. She is amazing in person. She owns the stage.
Finally, Halestorm returns
She truly can be a badass, but the range of the band is incredible. Others before me have mentioned favourite titles of mine, but I love the rock anthem of I am the Fire. Picks me up when I am down. Love also I Like It Heavy, Amen, Here’s to Us, The Silence and so many more. Love to see this stuff.
Yesssss!!!!! I love this group! Lzzy is amazing! They are spectacular live! Her brother, Arejay is the drummer.
Old guy here. Never heard this track before, but Holy Cow, that kicked A.S.S. from the get go. Loved it. ✌️👍👍
Thanks guys!! I needed that!! Bitter taste of poison live on the jimmy Fallon show really showcases her vocals,it's a softer tune, but amazing!
One of the best live performances of that song for sure
Familiar Taste of Poison is my favorite song by them
It's nice to see that Lzzy and Arejay (sister/brother) are still rockin' together since they formed the band as kids.
Never heard of Halestorm. Thanx for introducing me to them. They do rock! Lizzie's voice is phenomenal 👍
It does this old man's heart good to see young groups pick up the rock and roll torch and keep the sound alive!! Thank you so much...
CHILLS That is All !!!
Loved Loved Loved Your Reactions
Peace & Love from Florida 😘
She was here in Tucson last night. I couldn't go! She has a softer one called Familar Taste of poison. You should check out the band Dorothy
Here, I'll make it easy for you. ruclips.net/video/OUuVReJSrc4/видео.html
Money is my favorite The Warning song. Those girls rock!
Hell yes! The warning is my new favorite band! I've been trying to get Amber and Jay to react to their survive at tedx for months now! It's good to see I've got some help lol
I concur
I've been suggesting The Warning to these guys for almost a year. Nothing
The lineup for a lot of the shows is The Warning, The Pretty Reckless & Halestorm . . what a show
Love Halestorm. Please do more reactions to them!!
I saw them live a few years ago, Lizzy can belt it out which she did on every song! She had the whole place rocking.
There is NOTHING on Utube more AWESOME than when Amber rocks out!! You go girl#AMBERSWAY
Yes!!!! I came on here to suggest this.
Y’all are so great! I love the genuine reactions. And Halestorm rocks!
"It's Not You" acoustic version done in a radio station. Amazing. Roller derby video is great too!
I would like to suggest "Shatter Me" by Lindsey Stirling featuring Lzzy Hale on vocals. Amazing song and video.
Forgot about that one!
Halestorm kicks ass for sure.

Female Friday request: Heaven Knows by The Pretty Reckless. Lead singer is Taylor Momsen, who played Cindy Lou Who in How The Grinch Stole Christmas.
A woman that hot, that talented and that passionate, how could anyone leave her for someone else? She is a rocker queen!
The drummer is her brother . The original bass player was her father . But as you have heard in her lyrics , he said he stepped out .
Head banger 🤘made my day!
Lzzy is incredible. That voice !!The best female vocalist of this time!
This entire album kicks butt. I highly recommend it from start to finish.
