I’m not a fan of Pakistani actors but have always admired Samina immensely and this interview has increased that tenfold. Her husband is such a distinguished gentleman and they both make awesome couple. Stay blessed and genuine, not many ppl left who have such down to earth personalities left.

Listening to Usman Peerzada talking of the old Lahore was simply fascinating. I could listen to him talk all day. He reminds me of my wonderful father in law who l recently lost. He was extremely learned and told wonderful stories of past lahore and growing up. He has left a gaping hole in our lives. I will miss his stories..

Apart from Usman's ease with intelligent women around, really appreciate how they differ gracefully with each other's point of views. Samina ji shines like a bright star here with her deeply insightful reflections. I wish you also teach Cultural Development at your Academy! We need Tehzeeb and values more than the Info bubble that's exploding around us and harming us as humans coz we don't know how to process that information aka so called education.

Its remarkable, how you have this ability to make your guests so vulnerable and at the same time so candid while interviewing them, its truly very rare to come across an interview that makes you want to witness another person's life through their narrative. The entire duration of this interview made me feel as if I was in a utopia, reminiscing the olden times. It was an absolute treat, to distinguish and acknowledge how good upbringing refines you. I have heard from our elders who though belonged to Peshawar and Frontier , told us a lot about Lahore, being an elite and educated city blessed with culture. Everyone in their generations looked forward to going to Lahore for higher studies. The image I had of Lahore came crushing when I visited this legendary city a decade ago. It looked as if the time has stood still since 1940s. Yes I did feel that the class and culture comes up while communicating with the educated lot. I hope the city will do something to save this great city from regressing into radicalism.I completely agree with Usman about the " modernism" and " lack of upbringing " seeping into the society , almost same as what's happening here in India.Stay blessed, both of you.
