I had the opportunity of meeting him at Pakistan consulate in Toronto on 16th of August 2017. A very humble, polite and decent man.
Everyone who recognized him asked for a photo with them, and he happily complied to everyone's demand without hesitation or raising an eyebrow, which showed his down to earth attitude.

I had met Samina many years ago when she had just married Usman and they used to live opposite my sister's house in New Garden Town. Usman talked to me about financing a movie he wanted to direct. With the passage of time, both have turned out to be extremely talented, and decent human beings. The interview was an enjoyable reminisce of the life of Lahore in those good old days. Love and respect from Canada.

The Lahore Usman Peerzada speaks of does not seem like the Lahore of today...or atleast what my Lahori friends tell me of Lahore of today. Its fascinating to hear him reminisce about the times gone by.

A very charming couple and sophisticated people .No show off , no bragging , just simplicity and manners .they are an asset.it's hard to find these kind of educated experienced and well mannered people in todays life. It was such a beautiful interview. I binge watched it. Their intellect really inspired me. These type of calm, composed, sober interviews can still happen here. Look they both were just sitting and talking and we all enjoyed it. We don't want those low standard morning shows in our country. I envy you sir, you were highly privileged to be born in a house with 7 to 8 lac books. It just shows how learned your father was. I on the other hand was born in a house with 7 to 8 books, that too, my parents worked so hard to buy. It's funny how different a life we all live but how similarly our hearts beat.
