Thank you for hosting such a wonderful knitting retreat! We all agree our time on Arran with the Sannox team and guests was the absolute highlight of our Scotland adventure. The warm welcoming space at Sannox made strangers into dear friends. It seems there is no fellowship quite like a knitting group😊. I love watching you make your new house into a forever home. Cheers!
Lovely to see you again Andrew. Congratulations to you and the family on the new home. That Seeing Colours yarn reminds me of the Clyde on windy day when the water is a bit choppy, its beautiful
It’s lovely to see you again and hear all about your house move and your knitting projects. We visited Arran a few years ago and stayed in Whiting Bay. We absolutely loved it. What a beautiful island. Hope your house move goes smoothly. Best wishes and prayers. Irene
Ah, renovating. So much fun when you start, but very soon you can't wait for the end of it. I wish you well. Make time to knit, if only for a small time. ❤
Amazing sweater and your new home 🏡 congratulations. still much work to do but when it is done it will be so rewarding and it will be the way you want it.
I had to LOL when you spoke of "proper adulting". I'll be 63 next month and I'm not sure I'm properly adulting yet! 😂 My youngest(of 7 kids) is now a "proper adult", living with a significant other and working. I am a bit lonely with all kids gone. Thanks, as always, for your company. I appreciate you! ❤
Hi, Andrew ! Why is there always so much to do , when there are knits waiting in our basket, and a cup of tea is calling our name ?! But honestly, it sounds like you have plenty of other, more pressing projects to finish before winter...Congrats on your family's cozy new home and cheerful renovations to brighten up your resolve for knitting through the cold winter ahead ! Love the community location too...looks beautiful ! I'm nearing the end of my Icelandic cardigan (Vorsol, meaning Spring Sun), bottom up in the traditional Scandi way...about to cast off the neckband, sew-in lots of ends, wash&block, then put on the buttons ! I always enjoy the news from the Isle of Arran...take care❣
Congratulations on the new house. Thankful for your church family's help. Hope you are recovering well. I knit a onesie for my new grandson, and also crocheted a sweater for him. Now back to worsted weight socks on dpn's.
I hope you get your house in order soon and can get moved and settled. I’m not surprised that you aren’t finding much time to knit, but you wife is going to be so happy with that sweater!
So happy for your new home and looking forward to seeing it after all your upgrades. I always enjoy watching you, seeing your projects and the beautiful place where you live.
Thank you for showing the Scottish Yarn Festival!! I’m in Maine, USA and I’d love to go to Scotland one day. It’s always heartwarming to hear your blessings at the end of your podcasts!!
Welcome back! Many thanks for the update and for the tour of your new home. I hope you and your family spend many happy years there! Thanks too for showing us all the beautiful yarn at the show and your presents - some gorgeous projects await you! Take care and all the best for your upcoming move 🚛🤗
Great to see you again Andrew, and to get a feel for where you're going to be living. I love the outlook over to Goat Fell and Brodick Castle - you have fallen lucky with finding your new home. If I lived there, I think I'd be upstairs all the time just watching the ferries! Your wife's jumper is coming on beautifully, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with for the next KAL. Five beanies going off in the post to you in the next day or two.
Great watching your catch up. I have been over staying on the island 3 times this year as I always consider it my spiritual home. My parents lived in Whiting Bay for many wonderful years. House views look great. Hope you get to move soon . Thanks Andrew 🏴
Always love your blogs. I knit with you whilst listening. Thank you for taking time in your busy life to chat and show us your new house (many congratulations) and the Perth show. You reminded me that I had been on the island a long time ago on the paddle steamer! My folks lived in the area at that time and I spent a lot of time on the west coast. Thank you once again and good luck with the renovations 💕🌿
Congratulations on the house! I hope you'll be able to remain in it for many years. I named ours: "Dunmovin" because I won't anymore if it's under my control. I don't know if you had a chance to look it up, but the Left Coast of the US is primarily California. Oregon is just above that and the state of Washington is our Northernmost point out West before you get to Canada. That town is about the third of the way north of the southern border of Oregon and looks to be pretty close to the coast. Lovely area. The jumper for your wife is beautiful - I hope she treasures it. Funny - those two blue variegated skeins called out to me to be colorwork on a grey garment. Perhaps a vest or even an entire jumper. Arne just made a new all over colorwork piece. But that's for another time, after the house is habitable. Oh! Won't it be lovely at Christmas!!!!
It's great to see you again, Andrew, as always. You've your work cut out with the house renovation, for sure. Glad you're getting some knitting done, even if not as much as you'd like at the minute. My current wip is a Fae Wing Shawl using Noro Akari yarn on US7/4.5MM bamboo needles. It'll be a finished object before the end of the week (except for blocking😅). ❤
Thank you for taking us along on your new home adventure. It looks like quite a project!! PS Oregon is on the northern west coast of the USA. I live in a northern central state.
When a lovely surprise to see you again. Peaceful and cheerful as ever. Having lost my dear husband 6 weeks ago I haven't been able to concentrate on anything, but you have just helped me today. Many blessings
Hello from Maryland. I thoroughly enjoy listening to your adventures and shenanigans. I’m knitting a wee pair of socks and a zip-up hoodie for my Grandson❤️🧶❤️
Wonderful to watch your video and to see your new home come together! Surprised too when you mentioned Roseburg Oregon! (Where I live -And near Lookingglass Oregon. ). Small world. I knitted 10 hats for a local alternative school for teens, Phoenix School, and have begun knitting some more for them. You have inspired me to knit a sweater this winter.
Wonderful video!! Oregon is a beautiful state. It's along the west coast of the US. So, California in the south, Oregon, and Washington. Mexico to the south and Canada to the North.
Lovely to see you again Andrew, despite the very busy times you are having, thank you! What a wonderful progress on Mrs Clark's sweater 😍. Again .. hope it all turns out ok with the new house and 't will soon feels like a home 😊. Confession .. still haven't finished my husband's Dustland 🙈😁 take care, Danielle
I didn't even mention my Dustland...that's how unfinished mine is... although the Sannox Stitches women think it's not too long, so good to have a second opinion! Will get those sleeves done sometime!
Thanks for another video. We just returned from two weeks in Scotland and loved every minute! How I would have loved to come to your retreat but just couldn’t make my dear husband take time for a knitting retreat!
So nice to be back on Arran again (in video and spirit). Thank you for all of your excellent hosting. Can’t wait to see your home, Brodick Castle and that new ferry that went in service today!
Oh, Andrew - what a lot of work ahead of you with all the home renovations. My husband and I built 2 homes and I recall all the work involved. Home renovations are just as work intensive. It's lovely to see you again.
Lovely to knit with you again my friend! Hope your renovations move along smoothly, your family will have a wonderful abode with beautiful views after it all comes together. Take care and God be with you♥️
Hi Andrew, it was lovely to visit you on the isle of Arran. I had a wonderful break from daily life. The team at Sannox are so welcoming and I found a great deal of peace and comfort from being there. I hope Hiedi is feeling better. The other ladies on the retreat were a real pleasure to meet and I hope to keep in touch. I feel fortunate to have spent time with them.
Good to see you. Renovating a house is an enormous task so we will all understand if you can’t post as often. And, your natural dry wit comes out strongly when you are tired 😊
Great to see you again Andrew! I am currently knitting on a fair isle hot water bottle cover, so hopefully the colourwork will get me into practice for the Sanquar knit along!
Lovely to see you again! Good luck wirh the new home. I’m currently knitting a jumper with a Scottish name 😊, Selkie, by a Swedish designer, Lotta Löthgren. However, I don’t knit in a “”selkie colour” but non the less the colour is a tribute to Scotland: Thistle 😊
Woodchip is a nightmare! Your lovely new home will be ready soon though and how exciting to have your very own space. Thank you so very much for sharing your visit to The Scottish Yarn Festival. As a small business trying to grow, I was thrilled to see my little booties on your podcast. I do apologise for running up to say 'hi' then scampering away again. My stall was busy but I really wanted to say hello and tell you how much I enjoy your podcast. Uist wool is beautiful and and I have been enjoying using it for both business and personal projects. The way they blend the fleece colours in skeins and garments is beautiful. The knitting retreat sounds like really good fun and I hope that I can make it across from Galloway one day to come and visit your part of Scotland. Fingers crossed for the ferries! I'm knitting a slip-over vest in some gorgeous wool from the Isle of Colonsay just now. The Scottish Yarn Festival wool is beautiful to crochet with. I went for the softer green and made a hat. Happy knitting when you get a moment to yourself :)
I think I spotted you in there too! You were busy when I passed by filming so couldn't get a proper look! Was really lovely to meet you in person! If you ever fancy a wee interview for the channel give me a shout!
@@albanachknitter aw, that is so kind! I'm a pretty shy person when not in 'public mode' but I would love to pop over to Arran sometime and maybe we could sort out a crafting chat over knitting and a cuppa? Galloway is not so far and my family would love an excuse for a boat trip!
Lovely to catch up again Andrew - your new home will be beautuful; those views are stunning. Good luck with all the hard work. Would love a visit to the Isle of Arran one day. A couple of hats will be on their way very soon. Lesley @DownDuckpoolLane
You are filling the new home with Love! You need a canvas or painting that everyone can sign and date as they come and help! Then you can hang it in the entry to welcome anyone who comes to your home!
We were in Scotland for two weeks in June. We absolutely loved our time there. We walked the West Highland Way, and I was filled with gratitude every step of the way. What a beautiful country you have! Thank you for another warm and knitty episode!
Thanks for taking us through your new home. It will get done and it will be beautiful! Fabulous area and views. Feel better soon. Glad you are still getting knitting time. Take care.
It's a beautiful place where you live. I am knirtting the Eva cardigan and have couple more waiting in the wings. Should have started earlier as winter is on its way here in northern Saskatchewan, Canada. I look forward to your next vlog.
What a lovely treat to sit in on yet another episode of the podcast. Thank you! Looking forward to the KAL and the knitting of the "Study Hall Shawl" pattern that I have been greaning on for years now.
Your new home has beautiful views. It will look wonderful after all the renovation are done. Congratulations on the new home. I would love to go over to Scotland and visit your lovely island. Especially since I found out I'm 15% Scottish. Unfortunately, it's not in my budget, not much traveling money in my budget.
Always fun to see what you are getting up to! Renos are a test of our patience the same as trying a new pattern and having to rip back.... It'll be over before you know it and soon you will be warming your feet by the new fireplace.
Awwww yay! So good to see you, Andrew! I’ve been keeping tabs on IG, but haven’t caught a podcast in a little while. The renovations are moving along great! So excited for y’all. Heard the traditional ‘piece de resistance’ 😁 Gets me every time. I have been wondering if Sannox stitches was deliberately scheduled around the Scottish Yarn Festival… Perfect. The footage was fabulous. Thank you for sharing! I was definitely drooling over the Uist yarn as well. Prayers and God Bless.
Love seeing all your achievements thus far...Thrilled to hear about the Kiwi Lady visiting you from the US..I'm a Kiwi watching you from Texas..so small world..😊
Wow! Your house is needing more than a “little “ TLC. We have been in similar circumstances, and you are so lucky to be able to do the renovations before moving in. We enjoyed seeing you on the island and at the yarn festival. When you said that you did not purchase anything, my husband commented that I had more than made up for the shortfall. I purchased enough for both you and I. My purchases were mostly sock yarn, although I bought a couple of kits for fingerless mitts. I have several socks in progress with yarn from Scotland. We are already planning a trip for Spring to Scotland.
Wot no Gaelic lesson 😂 you’re looking very well despite all the renovations and busyness. I’m not knitting anything right now because I need a 5.5mm circular needle and I think it’s the only size I don’t have in the vast tangle of notions in my work box. When I sort myself out and acquire one I’ll be using it to finish a cabled tank top. Very much enjoyed todays episode. Take care.
Thank you for the update and can't wait to see the new house when it's finished. The view is amazing 😮. I just started knitting a vest for my son for Christmas.
I had to like to take the number of likes away from 666. 😮😅 Your new house looks amazing, those views… The sweater is gorgeous! I’m almost finished with test knitting a raglan sweater and tomorrow the big knitalong for Westknits mystery shawl starts. It’s always a great learning experience for me! And if possible I would love to take part in the Sanqhuar kal as well.
Great to see you, you’ve been missed! The Red Cedar sweater is beautiful, hopefully we’ll get to see your lovely wife modeling it when it’s finished? And big congratulations on your new house🥳! Looks like it needs a lot of work but will lovely when it’s finished! And those views!? Just beautiful! Take good care of yourself (keep wearing those masks!) and see you next time❤
So good to see you back. Thanks for the tour of your renovations. I always find it fascinating what people do with new homes. I've been knitting on the Train Track Cowl by Robyn Williams. It's a free pattern and being 10 ply it's growing very quickly. Love your variety of content too. See you soon.
Happy to see you today! Lots of work for the new house so I'll keep you in my thoughts for that. Since the last time you did a podcast, I finally finished my 2023 Christmas sweaters (three of them) and completely started and finished my first Ranunculus, which I love how that turned out! Your colorwork is looking lovely! Gosh, I'd love to do a tour of all the sheepy islands over there, but we also have young people becoming adults, so we're trying to get through that before adding anything else to our plates. But oh, how nice would it be to see your part of the world in person! Looking forward to seeing how the work progresses on the new house.
Good to see you again. Lovely episode with lots of variety. The red cedar jumper is looking good. The new house looks a bit daunting. Good luck with it all. See you next time. Cheers
How nice for you and family to have a new to you home. It will be lovely! Having built several homes, I have one suggestion which may 9r may not be on your radar - remove the wall between the living room and kitchen. You can add some 3xtra cupboards on the side but opening up that view to your living room would be amazing!
Not possible due to the location of the chimney stack, but apart from that, we've lived in homes with little separation between the living room and kitchen and just haven't like it for lots of reasons :) .
Congratulations on your new home and good luck with all the hard work of renovations. I’ll be praying for you!! It will be lovely when it’s fine and the views are amazing!! Beautiful work on the sweater fur Lucy. Nice gifts from your knitting friends!! 🧶💙🧶. I’ll look forward to whatever content you have time to create. Be blessed!!
Best of luck with the new house. I just completed a double knitted beanie for Christmas at Sea, which is a program of the Seamen's Church Institute here in the U.S.A. They have their own free patterns for items that working men can wear, very simple without tassels or ties or similar safety risks. It allows me to learn a new technique and use heavier wool leftovers in my yarn stash. Double knitting is slow but very easy!
Andrew congratulations to you both. I remember many many years ago our local vicar lived across the road (Devon) in a beautiful manse house but mum telling me it belonged to the church and often when vicars retired they didn’t have enough money to buy a home. I was shocked to say the least and only a teen at the time. So I am pleased you are buying a home even if it needs a lot of work. Take care Andrew. We lived in Eugene Oregon for 8yrs when hubby studying beautiful part of USA. I buy wool from Oregon too. Enjoy the gifts when the time comes.
Scottish Baptist ministers used to get homes that they could rent for a small rent, but they don't do that now - they just suggest that churches help ministers to get somewhere, so that's the deal. :)
I’m sure the work on the house is a bit of a nightmare at the moment, but as soon as it’s finished l, the pain will disappear in your rear view mirror. It will be nice to put down roots. Congratulations!
So much to love, yet again. 🙂 Your wife's pullover is looking great - great job! Your new house looks like it has good bones, and will be a cozy nest before too long. 😉 The views from your new house are amazing! Something to consider for those single skeins is the Musselburgh hat by Ysolda Teague. I just finished my fourth one in fingering (4 ply) weight. It's a great pattern, and allows one to use several different weights of yarn. Always love your videos. Best wishes for all good things to continue to come your way. 🤗
Great hearing from you and your updates. Congratulations on your new home. All that work will make you totally appreciate it and set it up the way you will enjoy. Be happy in your work and here's hoping Christmas in your hoe will be acheived.
Good luck with your new house. It looks very challenging. I’m missing Scotland right, since last year I attended Shetland Wool Week. It was like going through the back of the wardrobe as in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe!
Greetings from Canada’s west coast! I’m knitting a colourwork cardigan , the design is considered regional. I would look forward to your Sanquhar knit-a-long , also regional. How about a Kep?
A lovely podcast. Your jumper is coming along nicely. Hope all goes well with the new house. I had never heard of Sanquhar designs so I looked it up. I'm up for a KAL. I've done Norwegian knitting designs and enjoyed them and I know Sanquhar will be just as delightful. Cheers
Thank you for hosting such a wonderful knitting retreat! We all agree our time on Arran with the Sannox team and guests was the absolute highlight of our Scotland adventure. When a lovely surprise to see you again. Peaceful and cheerful as ever. Having lost my dear husband 6 weeks ago I haven't been able to concentrate on anything, but you have just helped me today. Many blessings
Sorry to hear that, may you know peace in the midst of this significant time of loss and adjustment to a new way. Sending love.
Oh I am so very sorry. May his memories bring you happiness in this difficult time.
Hello from Maryland. I thoroughly enjoy listening to your adventures and shenanigans. I’m knitting a wee pair of socks and a zip-up hoodie for my Grandson❤️🧶❤️
Sounds great!

Wonderful video!! Oregon is a beautiful state. It's along the west coast of the US. So, California in the south, Oregon, and Washington. Mexico to the south and Canada to the North.

Red cedar sweater looks terrific! Thanks for sharing. Lucky Mrs.❤
Hi andrew, great to see what your up to. The yarns were lovely and loved the blather. Beautiful jumper for mrs clark.
Good luck with everything - and such a stunning view that meets your eyes outside the windows when you wake up in the morning 🌅❤️
So nice to see you back, Andrew! Best wishes on your “labor of love” with your new home 😊❤
Lovely to knit with you again my friend! Hope your renovations move along smoothly, your family will have a wonderful abode with beautiful views after it all comes together. Take care and God be with you♥️
Blue pool Oregon is very beautiful place in Central Oregon. A popular hike to a waterfall in the weather season or a cool dip in 5he summer

Lovely to see you again! The retreats are always lovely yo hear about. Still want to join uou for one!
Great to see you again , good luck with your move , hope your new home is full of of joy and happiness
Beautiful color work.
Hi Andrew, so nice to see you again. Lovely sweater there.
Love seeing all your achievements thus far...Thrilled to hear about the Kiwi Lady visiting you from the US..I'm a Kiwi watching you from Texas..so small world..😊
And I'm a Kiwi at home in New Zealand
Mrs Clark is very lucky to receive such a beautiful sweater.
Wonderfully done.
Oh I've seen worse!
I could see your bags starting to bulge Robin lol
Wot no Gaelic lesson 😂
you’re looking very well despite all the renovations and busyness.
Take care.
Sounds good!
Great video good luck with the new house….
Thank you for the update and can't wait to see the new house when it's finished. The view is amazing 😮. I just started knitting a vest for my son for Christmas.
Lovely yo see you again.
That house is gonna keep you off the streets for a good while. It needs a lot of thourough love and care.
Super catch up Andrew. Your new home is going to be super once all the updating has been completed. Exciting times ahead.
Great to see you back. Enjoy your blog. And seeing your video. Take care.
Enjoyed your chat today!
Good luck with your new home. It will be lovely. If I was closer I would join the renovation party.
Take good care of yourself (keep wearing those masks!) and see you next time❤
Looking forward to the new pattern KAL. Already I have a few hats to donate to charity. Nice to see and listen to you, Andrew
It's great to see you back Andrew. Have missed your podcast
Thank goodness you know how to say Oregon correctly ❤❤❤
So good to see you back. Thanks for the tour of your renovations. I always find it fascinating what people do with new homes. I've been knitting on the Train Track Cowl by Robyn Williams. It's a free pattern and being 10 ply it's growing very quickly. Love your variety of content too. See you soon.
Congratulations on your pronunciation of Oregon.
Is there another way to say it? lol
@@albanachknitterSome newbies say Arrr-gone instead of Or-ee-gun.
Welcome back Andrew 😊 all the best on your new house project ❤
Lovely to see you again, Andrew - I had a feeling you’d be really busy! The jumper is looking great 😊
Best of luck with the new house.
As long as the house has good bones, you can turn it into a beautiful space.
Lovely to hear from you again. I would so love to come visit your isle, but alas, I must be here caring for my husband who has dementia.
❤❤❤
It's quite good fun...and therapeutic, actually!
So happy to see you again. Seems like life is treating you well. I would love to go to Scotland some day.😊
Enjoyed the home tour☺️!
beautiful home, blessings that the church family can help ! what a lovely view as well. glad to see youre back podcasting. missed your fun episodes.
Good to see you again Andrew!
So glad to see you again! I'm heading to Dublin on Wednesday and will wave when we fly past your place. Beautiful sweater! Your wife is a lucky gal.
Cheers
