As my comment got deleted for whatever reason.... I am in central florida, citrus county. We thought Helene was bad, and grazed us with just heavy winds. Now, from Mexico, which hasn't been seen since the 1800s is coming directly towards us. God be with us all Floridians.

I didn’t get any cake last time…
I was told there would be cake.
Dr Phillips here..... this track has me the most concerned since Charley '04.
I was in Bradenton for Charlie. It was supposed to hit Tampa but it hit Northport instead and Port charlotte. That's as close as one ever came when we lived there and I was there 40 years. We left 10 years ago.
Please: Do not forget all animals! Thank you!
The whole peninsula is going to get clobbered. HOLY MOLY!.Surges over 10 feet!
After the storm, everyone in Florida has their property insurance double.
Storm surge will be on the west coast as it comes onshore. Wherever landfall the bullseye will be.

You’re wrong it’s hitting the gulf side dude.
@@MontanaCountryBoy406 It's not going to hit the Gulf and then stop there.

If it keeps that track, Fort Myers area is in for a gigantic mess. It won't be pretty. Storm surge warnings and estimates should be coming out in the next day or two.
What about being in a high rise condo in fort Myers? Not fort Myers Beach. My parents are there.. scared for them

Glad I moved out of Florida
i m planning too now...
Hurricanes aren't a huge deal for many parts of Florida. Where I live and have lived for 27 years, there has been nothing more than a little wind and rain
I’d take a Michigan snowstorm over a hurricane
@@MrGrreatness Tell that to the people who just experienced Hellene now this
@techwood16 what I said is a fact.
And move your cars and boats well inland please.
I'm in central Florida and I'm supposed to work a double Wednesday on the barrier island in St Augustine but absolutely not 😅. Nope. Im so scared bc our sewers are already overflowing and the ground is saturated
Cape Coral/Ft. Myers area here. We got hit hard with Ian, barely missed Helene but this one is out with a vengeance. SW Florida hasn’t recovered from Ian and now this. Homeowners get ready for your homeowners insurance to be dropped when all this is over. God help us!
Good luck, girl.
IMO what everyone is forgetting is thousands and thousands of power linemen are GONE guys
And why is that?
@@lateblossom they went to help other states but they will come back
They can come back. They have trucks that they drive in.
My family business is in cable and they said FL is paying to low. For Helene they are all in SC bc they didn't want to take FL projects due to lack of payment

Definitely strengthening to a category 5 over water. Landfall wise, more so a category 4 or high-end 3.

This will be a cat 5 don't let insurance fppl you again. SWFL here it was a cat two at most now doubled it will be a cat 5
It 100% will be cat 5. This might cause Katrina type of damage
Cat 5 over the water ... depends if it runs into the wind sheer from the front, could go down to cat 3 or 4 for landfall
@@mollyh8410 Another report an hour ago on a Tampa new channel showed it would hit as a cat 4 and completely engulf Florida as a cat 3.
But now it’s seemingly more likely it hits as a cat 5 and linger as a cat 3/4 over Florida.
But down playing a cat 4 or 3 is lunacy.
Better leave folks!
You expect the entire state to evacuate within two days 😒 you realize that’s millions of people, right
My god, there is no safe place in Florida right now. May you all be safe.

why doesn't any weather reporter tell the people that bad weather rotates counterclockwise north of the equator but rotates clockwise south of the equator

The Gulf is like an hot global warming bath and dangerous from climate change
No
Strong hurricanes have made landfall in these regions for thousands of years it's nothing new
What's new is there's more os us, we're weak and our property is worth more, so the damage seem worse
This is the time of year Africa's waves slow down and giro off South America's coast form. Has absolutely nothing to do with climate change

How these people predict a storm?
@@scottlouissmith2382 Lots and lots of technology and study.
Do not question the Computer Models. That is blaspheme.
Use super computers to model water and air temperatures, wind speeds at various levels of the atmosphere, influence of cold and warm fronts/low and high pressure regions, atmospheric moisture, dust storms, etc. and after every hurricane, review your model and its inputs, and try to improve it for the next storm.
