I’ve used Elrond as tank, like the mountain dweller said if u can get his command and defence up to a decent level he does really well.. In my experience he melts away when facing a good Gil/gtw formation. I havnt tried him in non role play yet however. Hopefully I’ll be able to try him out with a shadow before the season ends.
Loved the video, one thing I thought of: Would Cirdan work? With the amount of healing that he can put out, plus the cleansing, plus his R4 The Shipwright... Possibly? Not sure who you would kick, unless you wanted to try (lol) troop damage and remove Legolas.
@@KUTMTV I suppose it depends what you are fighting... For instance if you are RP and fighting Evil, the cleansing would help a lot with things like Sauron's madness and Weapon Master/Nazgul. The Keen Eye could help against Gil. Of course you have a 60% chance to get 1 skill out of 4, very RNG...
Great information, and not just on Gil-Salad, but also the game and other commanders, thanks! What is the best way to use Haldir? Also, letting you know you can have peace and be free from destructive addictions through Jesus the Christ who is God.
@@KUTMTV nice to hear! do you recommend me to play on my old acc or go real FRESH? :D i had some respect and items... but i dont know what can i get now from them..
Gimme undying over gil. Even if the evade is worse since it's hit based instead of round based, it's 90% vs 70% and he can dish out some solid damage in his own right which can help offset the loss of a second DD. Plus you can run any units you want. Edit: and forgot to mention that undying can help blast through white council stacks like nobody's business
@@GoDirectly2Jail I’m sure over time there will be some different formations which come out of the most recent changes which is great for the game I think and agree undying now is a fantastic option.
@@GoDirectly2Jail yessir!! I love undying. Takes out stacks, has evade, can be built damage or heals. I could see either being used I think Gil will be the counter and this will become the new meta here shortly; with the right build of course

Gil is mid at mid lol Tanks should be getting the focus he gets and Gil should get the attention tanks are getting lol He’s good and, for a kraken, he’s been proven out as being in the meta build but I’m sorry.. elves are just toooo squishy I’ve run gtw, dain, gimli and Gil since the start of 2.0 and those elves are just a pain point. Your options are limited so you’re stuck with what you’ve got. And after evasion is up even with that R5 their defense is worse guardians than guardian (except maaaybe heralds). So did holding onto WC that much more help enough? I doubt it.. especially if they had a tank I don’t know. Mid-level spenders I think need to understand that but that’s it.
This video is so on point though. You brought up just about every relevant topic that I have thought of.. I ran gtw as a tank last season too 😂 But last season that’s how I used gtw, he tanks and use Gil in his old attack build 😂 I had to test things because it just wasn’t adding up what is making it “soooooo good.” I’m playing an alt account in S1 though and using that build you’re talking of but not Elrond and have gala
@@KUTMTV I mean.. it seems like the same idea as doing so with Sauron now more than ever with him having abilities that scale with focus (like WC) right? Personally don’t have Sauron and maybe it’s a grass is always greener on the other side situation but I’d prefer the madness, stuns and debuffs even if it all comes with RNG because a lot of RNG means something is going to hit
I just don’t like how gtw is a sitting duck after his pre-battle skills and until R11 doesn’t really have enough to be a DD. Then with everyone expecting WR and WC, I really lean towards Sauron now more than ever and eventually that may shift back

Amazing video and content. Am I the only one who keeps getting distracted by the constant discord notification sound? 😂
I've been waiting for this video. Thanks for the amazing content!!
i was hopinh you'd explain how the gil evasion works and speed, i dont get how it works into round 3. Specifically says 2 rounds
going to talk about this in the next live sauron v gil debate and go through it all :)
