    Also the side mirrors on a caprice or mounted on the door and impalas are in the window seal.

      Lol that's not true smh 95-96 caprice and impalas are mounted in the same place

      Definitely a true statement for 92-94 caprice

      1996 only mirrors are not mounted to the door skin. Caprice and Impala.

    Door handles and tail light trim are chrome on caprice’s while the door handles are paint matched and tail light trim is black

    Also the caprice vent windos are triangle and the impala vent windows are kinda squared off in the corners

      You’re correct when it comes to 94 models only. The 94 Impala SS had a plastic piece that filled in that space. By 95, all Caprices and Impalas had the same rear window shape. Thank you

    Fun fact... they're actually all Caprices. Impala SS is just a trim option for 94-96. That's also why the vin says it's a Caprice. Learned this about 6 years ago.

    Wx3 code, floor shift, analogue gauges, registry under passenger seat, side moldings

      '96 is the only year for amalog guages & floor shift. Also, '96 is the only year the side rearview mirrors were mounted flush in front of windows.

    Did all 94-96 Impalas come with rear disc brakes or just the 96?

  • @neal6473
    @neal6473 3 года назад +5

    And also you forgot to mention on the video that the 1994 to 1996 Chevrolet impala had a different Suspension then the 1994 to 1996 Chevrolet Caprice and also the floor shift as well to the 96 impala is the only one that came with the floor shift.

    • @chucky3285

      U can put floor shifter on 96 caprice

    Why didn’t you talk about the SS stitching on the seats or the floor shifter, rear end, exhaust and suspension??? All of that is different on the 96 Impala SS.

      So this was a quick guide to help people determine if they’re 94 through 96 Chevrolet was a true impala SS. This was not a discussion about the 96 and it’s unique floor shifter. There are so many clones are out there that have ithe seats switched out and of course the exhaust was the the same on the B4U and the 9C1 Caprice. I also did not mention the tire pressure decal because those are often switched out as well.

    The tail lights are also different

    And the door handles on caprices are chrome and the rear axle is not centered like the impala ss is.

    • @littleherms3285
      @littleherms3285 Год назад

      LOL... No, none of them were centered. The Impala only had a 3" WIDER rear axle to push the wheels out were they should be.

    I think as time goes and the less b body that exist it won't matter as much and most of these cars are being customized and lt1 being ls swapped so most of these ways to tell won't be there. You got a lt1 with the 4l60E trans you pretty much got a impala. I'm about to buy an black edition 4l60E rated 1000+hp and build my lt1 to 1000+hp and kill any impala or hellcat who wants some.

    Thank God I have a real one and also people who don't have a 1994 to 1996 Chevrolet impala yet try to buy it from a huge car dealership that's the best way to buy a real impala that's what I did 😉👍.

    Why you didn’t show the whiter that’s the easiest way to know SS got the floor shifters caprices have the shifter in the wheel

    • @ClassicCarEnthusiast
      @ClassicCarEnthusiast  2 года назад +1

      Actually only the 96 Impala had the floor shifter. 94 and 95 Impalas had the steering column shifter. Also, some people have added the floor shifter even to Caprices. Thanks

      Hello, in Florida my 95 says Caprice/impala. I think it depends on the state.

    You can also tell by the back window

    • @Jetlag2023
      @Jetlag2023 2 года назад

      No you can’t because the 95 and 96 caprice got the same window everything except suspension and body kit and sticker like he said lol everything else people can swap out and make clones

    • @jacobfleming565
      @jacobfleming565 2 года назад

      Back window changed through the years so theres no definitive way to tell.

      Honestly, nobody is doing a clone with 5 in 4.75" hubs. All 9C1 caprices (cop cars) and the Impala had 5 on 5" hubs. If somebody cloned a 9C1 that's not really a big deal because they were actually a touch BETTER than an Impala. 9C1s came with silicone rad and heater core hoses that will outlast 10 cars, an engine oil cooler and a power steering cooler.
