cops stand around hiding in areas where rampant crime is occurring until criminals attack and then swooping in? isn't that old-school-standard-run-of-the-mill police activity? i mean goodjob, keep it up, go get 'em....but very brave? it's basic police work, and you can feel like simply being a cop is 'very brave' but i would just go with brave, very brave would require them doing more than their standard job to me.
Agreed, and let's also not forget the rise in spoon crime. I was held up by three men armed with teaspoons the other day. Fortunately I had my large wooden spoon on me and managed to scare them off.

I remember when my sisters boyfriend was robbed in a park in east London about 15 yrs ago. Broken cheek bone, two black eyes, ruptured spleen, broken rib, various other injuries. All for a £5 note. And he’d already given it to them. When he reported the crime to police they told him there were more than 300 convicted robbers living within a 1 mile radius of the attack and there was basically nothing they could do.
Growing up in London as a kid in the 90s, people tried to rob me at least once every six months. Nothings changed. Not enough police presence on the streets and punishments are soft.
