Capsacin is the chemical compound in peppers that makes them spicy, its very possible at whatever concentration the gloss is formulated at is too irritating for you, like too high of a spice level in food.

Finally someone is critizing lip plumpers. I don't get the hype. Why on earth should I put something on my lips that tingles, burns and hurts?! There are so many nice lip products to use. You won't get XXL lips using lip plumpers 😂. Maybe someone with experience can explain to me?
I don't know why, but they kind of work on me, and don't tingle or burn at all. Of course they'll never give me that massive "injection lips" effect but who wants that 😅 they just make my lips look slightly fuller but still natural. I've tried a bunch and none has ever caused me any unpleasant burning sensation. Guess I lucked out! 😮

Some ppl have contraindications to use real lip fillers, or their own fat like myself, and some ppl have a difficulty to fond a good and safe health provider of this type and some are affraid of needls. Ppl in general want to bigger lips

capsaicin is just the stuff in pepper that makes it hot. lip plumpers will literally work by irritating your skin which makes it slightly swollen.
are you used to eating spicy food? if not, it might just be that. most people build a tolerance for capsaicin from diet (think about people who love super spicy food eating stuff that could make your nose burn if you just smelled it).
it causes irritation for sure, and having a bunch of it in a lip product is an iffy choice for sure. i wouldn't rush to declutter every product that contains capsaicin if it doesn't bother you though, because it's very likely not an allergy, just irritation. so a product that has a smaller dose won't cause big issues if you use it, unlike an allergen where your tolerance to it may actually decrease with time.

Julia, you might enjoy the Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Moisture Airyfit sunscreen! Looks and feels exactly like a light moisturizer with no sunscreen scent at all (and it's SPF 50). I found it recently and it's everything I've looked for in an SPF!

I bought the first aid beauty bronzing drops with niacinaide because of you and I absolutely love it!! I mix it in with the elf super glow sunscreen and the glow I receive afterwards is *so pretty* !!! 💙💙💙
My observation of the Rare blushes has been that the base of the highlight in the blush in most of the shades is dark, like a lot of deeper tone highlights have a darker base. I very clearly see that darkness on pale - light medium skin tones head on. I feel like I must be insane because no one else is mentioning the dark cast? I see it very obviously in every swatch video on anyone lighter than medium. From the side they look great but then you turn head on and I see it.
Can you do swatches for Milani lip stains? I bought the red one because of you and I love it

I was always so interested in the Half Magic beauty glosses and just knew I would LOVE them but never got around to picking one up until Y2K Cherub and I was SEVERELY disappointed! I was confused because I remembered the first two shades looking so glittery and high shine online while Y2K Cherub was like a sad gel. Freshly applied it looks like a glittery gloss you’ve been wearing for an hour :( Good to know the original shades aren’t like that, I’ll have to give those a try!
i love the originals they are gorgeous. my only gripe is the applicator doesn’t pick up much product but they SHINE like no other!!

I have the loreal concealer and i live in florida, I think its VERY NICE its a lil more sheer but it looks great as a spot concealer the climate def makes a difference I feel like they still get a bit creasy but overall pretty decent lol

I love the Groundwork palette, but I wish the pans were a little bit bigger or shaped differently. I have a hard time getting just one shade on my blush brush.

I bought the Milani lip stains in Rose Rising and Mauve Mentality and both stained my lips the same fiery, bright red shade. I was so disappointed as they looked so promising and I love lip stains (love the Elf ones). Seems it must be a me problem... :(

Of, almost every product from this video that sounds perfect and tempting has niacinamide, and I have a sensitivity to it. I get flushed, blotchy, itchy skin when I use niacinamide. Does anyone else experience this and want to feel sad with me?
meee!!! tried the first aid beauty glow drops and had to return, yet i’m still tempted to get the urban decay foundation *just in case* the level of niacinamide doesn’t irritate me lol
i also love the LYX I use it on my lips also. When i was watching your video on the NYX nightmare lip plumper I was yelling at my phone NO don’t try. I’m the one who went running through the store to get it off of my lips. In all my years of makeup that was the worst product ever. It needs taken off the shelves. Sorry you ended up having a really bad reaction. I felt like i stuck my lips on a burning stove.
The Duck Plump gloss was so weird. It burned my lips, but also got into my throat and burned like acid. The ginger is it is just too much.

I’ve noticed that most scented/flavored lip products irritate my throat, esp from drugstore brands 😢 nyx, Maybelline, milani. Not even plumping,just a fruity scent. Had to get rid of several good products.
Capsaicin is what they put in muscle pain cream…I can’t believe that’s an ingredient in your lip plumper! Whenever I use that cream, I have to triple wash my hands because if I touch my face with even the faintest trace of that left my skin starts burning like crazy.
A lot of RUclips makeup reviewers also hated the Duck Plump and suffered.
I haaated the nyx lip plumper too, had to throw it away. 😒 love this video and that you added more categories! 🫶🏻
