He died few months after recording this. Yet, his wife passed away before him. His daughter told him: "It seems you're saying goodbye...", and he answered "I am".
The song was originally by Nine Inch Nails, but the author (sorry, I don't remember his name), after hearing this version, publicly stated "This song isn't mine anymore. Now it's Johnny's".
And I fuckin' can't watch this video or listen to the song without crying my soul out. Must be a matter of age... 🙄

You are absolutely right.... there ARE no words.
Johnny gave real meaning to this song for me. Interesting things, the white house, is where he grew up in my home state of Arkansas... it still looks like that today...sad and lonely (but it is on the register of historical places)....also, if you watch June, she knew she would be leaving him soon...and she died several weeks after the video was filmed. I have never made it through this without balling my eyes out.
"Oohh Fuck. Says it all really. Quite Horrifying when you think about it. Thus..."Oohh Fuck"... MAKES SENSE.
The person who created this music video was brilliant. It opens up the audio song to expose the raw emotion of growing old and the pain of seeing I have missed the mark, I am not what I wanted to be, everyone who was important has either died or gone away, I am a failure in life and that ultimately everything returns to dust.
I would like to see you react to Johnny Cash... Folsom Prison Blues.....THEN react to Home Free's version of the same.
