Frame 14 and 15 He is a little younger now and can walk without his walking cane. After realizing that he doen't need a walking cane anymore Shuanshuan starts running. It's part of what the game was trying to say ,the solarians extended their lives unnaturally to survive a virus that one of them brought about, like a snake eating its own tail , at the end a lot of them were surviving for the sake of surviving
Honestly, both ending are pretty solid. One ending has the humans back on Earth, and the other has them inheriting Penglai. Both have their fun sets of challenges and implications for the “apemen”. the true ending just pulls at your heartstrings a bit more.
The Penglai ending is the bad one: Yi restarts the project, enslaves the Apemen and uses them for computers, even though it's already been revealed that there's no way to cure Tianhuo without losing what makes them Solarians (either as mutants or as normal cats). Furthermore, the Soulscape project intended to prevent brain death was already a flawed one, so even if they survive, they'll be driven insane. As a final bit, the Penglai ending goes against the main Taoist theme of the story: Not to go against nature and pervert nature to your own personal, fatally human ends. When it's time to go, it's time to go.
@@journeytoform Interesting. Well, unless they outright say it in the game, I interpreted it differently. I saw those brains in that cutscene as leftover Solarians that were put in the soulscape, not apemen. Obviously it's a flawed system and there isn't a cure, but the adult human was still reporting about "the status" of the soulscape to Yi- so clearly he's still using it. He could've easily had a robot do the reporting, but it was a human that did, so clearly he's teaching them stuff (assuming Solarian education & culture with clothes they were wearing). I didn't see it as enslavement, but more like "While Solarians are sleeping, the humans inherit Penglai". I don't know, it seems pretty shortsighted (and out of character) of Yi to resort to enslavement during the limited time he has to live.
I am not sure whether Red Candle Games is willing to spend more time updating the DLC. @@star_tears-y7n i dont think that they gave up on horror games, they just want to try new ideas, even devotion and detention are very different from each other in terms of gameplay
I don't remember how many particular attempts I've deposited into this boss fight But I've spent more than 10 hours on this fight alone - There were many runs in which I early deflected only once. Even if you memorize all her patterns, you still need an ungodly amount of focus to parry and counter everything consistently. And patience when you fail 😅
@@KaitoMajima Oh yea, it took me hours to get to phase 3. I thought I was done, after phase 2, but, SURPRISE! There's a phase 3 🤣. I finally got it all down and the 3rd phase is definitely more intimidation than anything, but yea, what a great boss, what a masterpiece of a game. I just can't believe that somebody ALREADY no hit all the bosses, that's INSANE! Doing a perfect parry on every. single. attack. is just bonkers, man. That one early deflection must have hurt pretty bad lol.
@@KaitoMajima Yeah and sometimes she mix it up a little and u have to adapt instantly. This is almost not a fight anymore, its like a dance i would say 😄
I legitimately thought there was going to be 4th phase lmao. Anyway came here to check different strats that people were using. At first i was playing passively and i noticed i have excess souls so i ended up using empowered 3rd slash + quick slash jade to make it easier to land 1 or even 2 powered slash. I also added slash recovers internal damage jade to balance internal damage from quick slash, this with how much attack eigong do makes it relatively easy to heal internal damage with parry.
Those are the requirements: imgur.com/a/4IcX0N2 You can just start from your finished save (which will get you back to Eigong's lab before the point of no return), and from there you can start filling the requirements.
I just finished the game, and Eigone is killing me. If you ask me i think its way too hard to beat it. As i know there's many people thinking of Eigone is way too hard. You've posted a video of Nine sols before, I'd love to hear what you have to say about the game.
I won't be watching the video since I don't want to spoil it to myself further, just came here from the recommended to ask you kindly to censor the design of the boss in the thumbnail and remove the name from the title. It's a spoiler that I never asked to see. (You can just replace the boss with a "Guess the pokemon" style black silhouette with a Question mark)
@@johnbandadesigns4605 getting the poisons to see the fat guy/village side quests is a req, yes and I'd say the other ending is more depressing, this one is sad but bittersweet
@@Samosnighht I don't know how the other ending would be more depressing since Yi survives and later sees older versions of his friends. Doesn't the true ending result in the total destruction of the entire facility, including the soulscapes?
@@johnbandadesigns4605 did we see the same normal ending? Yeah, you return to the home planet, but solarians from new kunlun are still stuck in the soulscape with no cure to the virus (Yi's choice), and if left out will die. The apemen are also doomed as the world is basically dead too an important note is that in the true ending sequence, eigong has progressed her plan enough to where she will infect the entire place, everyone is already doomed, and this is not the case in the normal route him nuking the island gave solarians release, protected the apemen, and protected kinda all of space by eradiating the infection
I mean i like this boss but question is how you suppose to fight this boss without Hedgehog + Divine Hand? P1 is okay, but P2 and espeically P3 are unplayable without Hedgehog + Divine Hand, boss litteraly have zero downtime.
She has certain moves with vulnerability: 1.Her downward cut into forward slash always guarantee a charged attack 2.Her triple stab attack always guarantee a charged attack 3.All of her crimson attacks have a huge vulnerability window if you unbound counter them These unbound counter recovery times are specifically perfect for attaching charms. Also, unbound countering always deals internal damage, so in a sense you're literally playing Sekiro here xD
@@KaitoMajima Remove those two jades and this fight will be x3 time longer and absolutely chore. The problem is that both of this jades are easy to miss and if player come to this boss without those jades (or he don't even udnerstadn power of those jades) will have hard time on this boss on normal difficulty.
I used the hedgehog jade and 3 others that let me hit faster but take internal damage, recover internal damage on hit, and use 2 qi charges to do more damage with basic attack. It seemed to do the same amount as a full charged slash so there are other jades that make this fight way easier
@@Huvanec Hedgehog kinda whatever most dps comes from Divine Hand. I also use it and it's outpeform anything on this fight by mile if you know how to use it properly and when. There is one obvious attack that you automaticaly use it's 4 waves slash from P2, but you also can use it on triple slash dash from P1 and if you manage to land Unbound Counter on most of triplle slash dashes during the fight it deals like 60%+ of total damage through fight.
@@Keetsoone I only used hedgehog and the fight is very doable, not a chore at all and id argue very fun! as kaito mentioned the triple slash attack always guarantees a charged charm, even if she can do her charm attack right after if u jump before doing ur charm u can mash the jump parry after ur done charging and u will always be safe! and yeah dont miss any unbound counters on crimson attacks and ur good to go.
Probably been answered a thousand times but what jade build are you using for this fight? Im currently on the fight but havent had the nerve to fight her yet. What would you suggest in terms of jade setup?
- Immovable Jade - Harness Force Jade - Focus Jade - Divine Hand Jade The first three jades help me do more damage with the Charged Attack build, and the Divine Hand allows me to chain multiple unbound counters for absurd internal damage versus her flurry attacks.
Phase 1: - Start by learning and parrying her basic attacks which are generally two hit combos and a three hit stabbing combo. - Then, learn how to deal with her crimson attacks. For the charm you gotta jump and tai-chi kick her out of the air. For the ball you'll have to unbound counter her. For the flying red sword attack, dash away. - After you deflect her charm attack, she will follow up with yet another crimson attack, so be careful. Phase 2: - When you see Eigong preparing her unsheathing attack, respond by charging your unbound counter. When her eyes glow white, that's the exact moment when you should release your counter. Parry the two following hits after that and unbound her last attack (you have short time to prepare, so have that in mind in advance) - Be extra careful when you stagger her charm, as she has a new followup that always starts with an upward cut. She can either follow that up with a downward cut or a mini red flame. Both moves are then followed up by crimson moves in which you can safely unbound counter on the ground. TRAIN THIS, as this move will always catch you when you're least expecting it. - Don't be reckless by punishing her moves in this phase, as she can quickly react with a flurry attack when you least expect. Phase 3: - She now has a new move in which I call the Slash Dance. She raises up her sword in the air and then executes two whole screen slashes and then she has an option to either do another parryable slash or an unparryable one. To counter it, you have to parry her first two slashes, then react and parry the white slash or jump over the red slash. BE CAREFUL, as once you succesfully do this, you will either fall for one of her Phase 2 mixups on the ground or she'll repeat the Slash Dance mid air. - Aside from that new move, this phase is literally everything you've learned in Phase 2 but with the added bonus that at any given time she'll threaten you with the Slash Dance, especially when you punish her. Be extremely careful here. Some general tips for the fight: - The best opening for attaching talismans is when you stagger her with an unbound counter. She has enough recovery frames to be unable to interrupt you. - Unbound counters are incredibly useful since you don't have that many chances to directly damage her, so you'll have to work with counters and internal damage. - Take the max advantage of the build of your Jades - Here I'm using an optimized Charged Attack build along with the Divine Jade that allows me to chain Unbound Counters for the flurry attacks. I've seen some people approach this with swift blade Jades, internal damage transfer and even quick fall Jades. - Don't feel bad for yourself if you hit a wall and just can't beat the boss. She's absurdly hard and a simple mistake costs you so much. Don't beat yourself, take breaks and try again.
I haven't been playing for too long, but one thing that's confused me ever since I got the ability - how do you charge up the melee attack without slashing once normally?
You can buffer the charged attack while in recovery frames such as when parrying a move, so when your character changes to his idle state, he'll immediately start charging. I also have two Jades equipped that helps me with this: - A Jade that charges the big attack faster by standing still; - A Jade that instantly charges the big attack whenever I perfect parry a move or unbound counter successfully.

Great story, but... MAN, did they really enjoy those 10-15 second black outs and white outs and fade outs where all you see is nothing, or the very slightest of imagery. It was less of a tension building effect than an annoyance.
You basically have to explore every nook and crannies in the world map, turn in all the various items to their respective people. Also the game does give you a big warning ahead of time that you are about to reach a point of no-return. So when you get to that part and you know you haven't found everything in the game world, that's your queue to finish up your exploration and helping out the various NPCs.
sorry but can I ask for your save? I beat the boss but it's don't have the 3rd phase and only have the normal ending and I don't know what I miss to get the true ending.

(I dont really know all details in English cus i am Chinese) basically become people’s desire for immortality, eigong accidentally made the ultra ebola (the virus thing). Causing the massacre of solarian. (Ji dna further mutates the virus later on the story). Yi, the man, who is a realist (also, one of the ten kings) has the idea of the island (where the story takes place). And also the plan of putting everyone into sleep until the cure was out (which apparently turns out pretty ineffective for the results where every solarium dies out of the virus(probably already infected beforehand). Heng, who is completely opposite to Yi, is a idealist and eccentric person. She is a resonator to the Fusang tree too. She believes that death and life cycle is natural (which is Taoism [the country is taoism influenced at first place]). At last, she refused to join Yi to the new kunlun. Yes, she died.😢 The New kunlun uses soulscape system (the coma system lol) which requires alot of biological computer (brains). They uses apeman brains (and this is Yi idea literally all of them). (My man went thru redemption arc in the ending) Then, at some point, Yi acknowledges that Eigong is the one who causes such a world ending disaster (AND only him was deceived, other kings knew about it). And try to stop everything or anything else. However, as you see at the beginning. He got stopped and “die”. 500 years later, the story of the game begins. I don’t include the details of side story such as Lear and Fangshi vs Jie kingdom warfare and its aftermath, Yi’s childhood
@@Silksong_in_2077 Hi so I parsed similar things to your story but my only question is this, so Eigong want to carry out the extinction of the solarians? Also, why did she reject immortality from the primordial roots when it clearly worked on Yi? Also my game ends with Yi defeating Eigong and flying back with the ship, so if the soulscapes plan didn't work, what was his intention?
@johnbandadesigns4605 u have some wrong concept. Yi has inf regeneration (if the tree is still alive) but not immortality. He will still die if the tree is destroyed or die by aging (although it seems that Yi barely age or completely stopped aging at that point or does tree even die by age?). Ji is the one who is truly immortal. Tbh eigong never want to extinct solarian. The virus is accident. And the true ending last resort is because he already gone craze after 500 years, thinking becoming mutated is immortality. And wdym soulscapes plan didn't work. It is indeed working, but it is because the scientists can't find the cure fast enough
@@Silksong_in_2077 I'm pretty sure the soulscapes plan didn't work. That's like, Lady Ethereal's entire story. The soulscape was too perfect so people would become confused and violent when they woke up back in the real world. You can see this in Lady Ethereal's memories, as well as the effect the VR device has on ShuanShuan. Thus, even if Yi managed to cure the virus, the solarians would still be in danger due to soulscape withdrawal
@@TryHardGamerYT that’s what i meant for it is working (by mechanical means). The part where it doesnt work is the aftermath recovery. Maybe i just suck at phrasing words lol. Maybe i would say it works and doesn’t work at the same time
Immovable Jade, Harness Force Jade, Focus Jade, and Divine Jade The first three jades helps me with the Charged Attack build, and Divine Jade allows me to chain multiple instant unbound counters after a successful charged one.

Exactly. Saw this crap in my recommended and it annoyed the hell out of me. Hell, don't do it even after a few years, RUclips will suggest these videos to new players all the time.

I didnt realize its only been a month since this game came out.. i've been so consumed by this game i thought 3 months had passed
That was beautiful.
So the two choices are Overthrow, or Self-Destruct. There's no winning here other than the survivors that start anew.
It's part of what the game was trying to say ,the solarians extended their lives unnaturally to survive a virus that one of them brought about, like a snake eating its own tail , at the end a lot of them were surviving for the sake of surviving
Dyaaamn!
Took me 2 hours to beat all 3 phases!
wow i have to give props to red candle for making the True ending so rewarding, its Completely different from the normal one
Gosh i just cant move on from this boss just yet ITS SO PERFECT
I've switched to using a charge strike build like the one in the video and oh my god it does so much damage
so impressive!!

The Divine Hand jade allows you to chain multiple unbound counters after a successful charged counter
@@KaitoMajima Ah. I see. Thanks for letting me know.

Do you need all the the poisons to get this ending? it seems like the bad ending though
@@johnbandadesigns4605 getting the poisons to see the fat guy/village side quests is a req, yes
and I'd say the other ending is more depressing, this one is sad but bittersweet
The apemen are also doomed as the world is basically dead too
an important note is that in the true ending sequence, eigong has progressed her plan enough to where she will infect the entire place, everyone is already doomed, and this is not the case in the normal route
him nuking the island gave solarians release, protected the apemen, and protected kinda all of space by eradiating the infection
I mean i like this boss but question is how you suppose to fight this boss without Hedgehog + Divine Hand? P1 is okay, but P2 and espeically P3 are unplayable without Hedgehog + Divine Hand, boss litteraly have zero downtime.
She has certain moves with vulnerability:
1.Her downward cut into forward slash always guarantee a charged attack
2.Her triple stab attack always guarantee a charged attack
3.All of her crimson attacks have a huge vulnerability window if you unbound counter them
These unbound counter recovery times are specifically perfect for attaching charms.
- Immovable Jade
- Harness Force Jade
- Focus Jade
- Divine Hand Jade
The first three jades help me do more damage with the Charged Attack build, and the Divine Hand allows me to chain multiple unbound counters for absurd internal damage versus her flurry attacks.
have any tips on how to beat this boss? none of the other bosses in this game gave me much trouble but i can't beat this one.
Phase 1:
- Start by learning and parrying her basic attacks which are generally two hit combos and a three hit stabbing combo.
Phase 2:
- When you see Eigong preparing her unsheathing attack, respond by charging your unbound counter. When her eyes glow white, that's the exact moment when you should release your counter. Parry the two following hits after that and unbound her last attack (you have short time to prepare, so have that in mind in advance)
- Be extra careful when you stagger her charm, as she has a new followup that always starts with an upward cut.
Phase 3:
- She now has a new move in which I call the Slash Dance.
Some general tips for the fight:
- The best opening for attaching talismans is when you stagger her with an unbound counter.
@@KaitoMajima thanks!
@@KaitoMajima Super helpful. You are a god gamer.
Whys thee true ending must be the most sadness ending?!
Because the truth is always bitter
I haven't been playing for too long, but one thing that's confused me ever since I got the ability - how do you charge up the melee attack without slashing once normally?
You can buffer the charged attack while in recovery frames such as when parrying a move, so when your character changes to his idle state, he'll immediately start charging.
I also have two Jades equipped that helps me with this:
- A Jade that charges the big attack faster by standing still;
- A Jade that instantly charges the big attack whenever I perfect parry a move or unbound counter successfully.

how do you get the true ending?
You basically have to explore every nook and crannies in the world map, turn in all the various items to their respective people.
Also the game does give you a big warning ahead of time that you are about to reach a point of no-return. So when you get to that part and you know you haven't found everything in the game world, that's your queue to finish up your exploration and helping out the various NPCs.
sorry but can I ask for your save? I beat the boss but it's don't have the 3rd phase and only have the normal ending and I don't know what I miss to get the true ending.

@@BraveLilToasty ty for the information, can I check what I miss?
I highly recommend achieving the requirements in your own save - There is a lot of dialogue and scenes that you unlock by doing these side missions that are relevant to the true ending 👍
The requirements are:
- Maximize Shuanshuan's affinity by giving him enough items and having a last conversation before the point of no return;
- Maximize your health by Shennong's poison requests, and finish all of his tribe sidequests;
- Search for the miniboss in Grotto Scripture, solve all the puzzles inside the gate with the three statues and gather the Rhizomatic bomb inside - After this, talk to Kuafu in the Pavillon.

Need the story summary pls.
Yes, she died.😢
The New kunlun uses soulscape system (the coma system lol) which requires alot of biological computer (brains). They uses apeman brains (and this is Yi idea literally all of them). (My man went thru redemption arc in the ending)
Then, at some point, Yi acknowledges that Eigong is the one who causes such a world ending disaster (AND only him was deceived, other kings knew about it).
