We did see what happened though. He didn't protect himself. Rather than take the sack he tried to get the ball out. Like you said, it was the first drive, he could afford to go 3 and out.

It’s a little bit ironic that the one of the most injured teams had CMC, and he was somehow one of the only people to stay healthy for the entire year.

We were injured early but late in the season we were actually pretty healthy except for a Elijah Mitchell and the bleedingly obviously overwhelming ones at QB…
And conveniently the year I had him on my fantasy team! And ended up winning the fantasy championship!

I have a lot of hope for next season with Trey and Brock, I just hope that we're not doomed to be like Sisyphus, forever laboring to get to the top only to fall right before we reach the summit.

What surgery? I'd be shocked if he requires Tommy John surgery. If they're saying this then someone is making money off this cause there is no way this kids tendon needs to be replaced by a dead man's tendon. All indications point to a 6 month recovery. That's the last I heard.

As a niners fan, I would say this is accurate. I do feel pretty happy about the season as I was expecting us to be a barely above .500 team maybe making the playoffs as the 6 or 7 seed. Making the NFC championship, Brock Purdy looking like a stud, nice defensive pieces and CMC under contract for the next few years means we are gonna be competitive for the future
It is both absolutely phenomenal and wildly unnerving how many of these season reactions videos start and end with the exact same line.
Even as a Seahawks fan I've felt pretty bad for the niners the last few years, yall deserved so much better

Man as a Niners fan, this is so accurate 😆😆😆 but I'll be honest, the loss to the Eagles was not as heartbreaking for me because the game was loss once Brock injured on their very first offensive drive. I forfeited at that exact moment. Unlike the SB and NFCCG in LA where they were up 10 and then blew it. Those were definitely more heartbreaking.

Either the scriptwriters are getting lazy, or the universe just wants Tom to open and close each of his team reaction videos the same way.
Some of these teams had similar endings in back to back seasons. Like the 49ers, Cowboys and even the Bengals (due to the ref screwing the Bengals in the last minutes of Super Bowl 56 and the 2023 AFC Championship game).
As a 49ers fan since 1978 that was the most painful playoff loss I can remember. It's like we pulled our race car out of the garage and were going to do a big great burnout only to drop our transmission and rear end in a pile of scattered pieces laying all over street.

Love the videos but this one brings a lot of pain lol. I didn’t expect a 12 game wining streak into the post season, which gave me hope for a super bowl win. But it all came crashing down when purdy went down. Reality finally hit at the worst moment. In my lifetime I seen my niners lose 2 Super Bowls and 4 nfc title games. We’re just like the packers lol.

Also, you do NOT trade Lance now. Even if he becomes a bust, he has 2023 and 2024 under his rookie deal and you can take the 5th year option before you even think about trades. Just keeping him as a backups on his rookie deal is good business in the worst case scenario.
