  • How To Scan EutelSat 36B 36°East DSTV Channels On NewMax Decoder
Scanning for DSTV channels on EutelSat 36B at 36°E using a Newmax decoder involves setting up the satellite receiver to search for the correct frequencies and parameters used by DSTV. Here are the detailed steps to guide you through the process:
    1. Prepare Your Equipment
Ensure your satellite dish is properly aligned to EutelSat 36B at 36°E. This satellite carries the DSTV channels.
    2. Connect Your Newmax Decoder
Connect your Newmax decoder to your TV using HDMI or RCA cables.
Connect the satellite dish coaxial cable to the LNB IN port on the decoder.
    3. Turn on the Decoder and TV
Power on your Newmax decoder and your TV.
Ensure your TV is set to the correct input source (HDMI or AV).
    4. Access the Menu on Newmax Decoder
Use the remote control to access the main menu.
Navigate to the installation or setup section.
    5. Select Satellite Configuration
Choose the option to configure satellite settings.
Select EutelSat 36B at 36°E from the list of satellites. If it is not listed, you might need to add it manually.
    6. Enter Satellite Details
For EutelSat 36B at 36°E, enter the following transponder details (example for DSTV):
*Frequency:* 12.245 GHz (or other specific transponder frequencies used by DSTV)
    *Polarization:* Vertical (V)
    *Symbol Rate:* 27.500 MS/s
Note that DSTV uses multiple transponders, so you may need to add and scan each one. Some of the common transponders include:
*Frequency:* 12.207 GHz, Polarization: Vertical, Symbol Rate: 27.500 MS/s
*Frequency:* 12.245 GHz, Polarization: Horizontal, Symbol Rate: 27.500 MS/s
*Frequency:* 12.265 GHz, Polarization: Horizontal, Symbol Rate: 27.500 MS/s
    7. Perform a Blind Scan or Network Scan
Select the option to perform a blind scan or network scan. A blind scan will search all frequencies and symbol rates to find all available channels.
Start the scan and wait for it to complete.
    8. Save the Channels
After the scan is complete, the decoder will display a list of found channels.
Save the channels to your decoder's memory.
    9. Organize Channels
You can organize the channels as per your preference by renaming, deleting, or arranging them in a specific order.
    10. Verify Signal Quality
Check the signal quality and strength for optimal viewing.
Adjust the dish alignment slightly if necessary to improve signal quality.
    Additional Tips:
Ensure the LNB type and settings match the type used on your satellite dish (Universal, Single, etc.).
Update the firmware of your Newmax decoder if available to ensure compatibility with the latest channels and frequencies.
    Troubleshooting:
If you do not find the DSTV channels, double-check the satellite alignment and transponder details.
Ensure there are no obstructions (trees, buildings) blocking the satellite signal.
By following these steps, you should be able to scan and receive DSTV channels from EutelSat 36B at 36°E on your Newmax decoder.

Scanning for channels on a Hisense Smart TV allows you to detect available over-the-air (OTA) channels, whether you're using an antenna or a cable connection. Here's how you can do it:
Steps to Scan Channels on a Hisense Smart TV:
    1. *Turn on the TV* and ensure the antenna or cable is properly connected to the *"Antenna In"* port on the back of the TV.
    2. *Press the "Menu" button* on your Hisense remote.
    3. Navigate to the *"Settings"* option using the arrow buttons and select it by pressing the "OK" button.
    4. Scroll down to find the *"Channel"* option (this might be listed under *"Broadcast"* or *"Tuner"* depending on your TV model). Select it.
    5. Choose the *"Auto Scan"* or *"Auto Channel Search"* option to begin the scanning process.
    6. When prompted, select *"Antenna"* (for over-the-air channels) or *"Cable"* (for cable channels), depending on your connection type.
    7. The TV will start scanning for available channels. This process may take a few minutes, and you’ll see a progress bar on the screen.
    8. Once the scan is complete, you can navigate through the found channels using the channel up/down buttons on your remote.
    Additional Tips:
Make sure the antenna or cable is properly installed and positioned for the best signal.
If you don’t find many channels or experience poor signal quality, try adjusting the antenna placement or ensuring all cables are securely connected.
