- Our friends at Gears and Gasoline visited Z Max Dragway for some NHRA racing. Learn about the sport of NHRA from the Force pit crew as well as Top Fuel driver Brittany Force and Funny Car driver Courtney Force.

So very lucky the Force girls are to have john for their dad. They know it too and never pretend they did it on their own. Yes they almost had it handed to them on a silver platter but who in their right mind would not take advantage of such an opportunity? Now that only Brittany is still racing out of the 3, it may look like the other 2 threw away what looks like an 'easy come easy go' opportunities of a lifetime. 'I've had the opportunity to drive both Top fuel and Funny cars says Courtney! Now she has just announced that she is pregnant and expecting her first child with her very lucky husband. Good for her. Her and her sister did have to go to Drag racing school and learn to be Top Alcohol first before moving to Top fuel so it didn't all come quite as easy as it looks. They surely put the work in to their driving and mastered it well enough to win championships. They also did the promotional work for their sponsors well and took everything about it seriously. The whole Force family is a class act. I really feel for John having 4 daughters who are beautiful. I only have one! and that is quite enough stress let alone 4. No wonder he battles depression on a daily basis! Johns openness about that is another show of being real about his life and the reality that everything is not as it seems on TV. Despite being who he is, what he has done for so long and the envy of many, he still deals with the 'Black Dog' and has to fight for sanity and survival every day like us all. And now he has had to lay off staff because of the overblown reaction to the Chinese Flu with no racing and no working. He personally is freaking out and I wish he'd calm down about it. It isn't good for him! But I always appreciate his honesty about everything. Even when he isn't doing himself any favours.

Why not just replace the whole engine? Costs $11,000 per 1,000 foot pass

To rebuild a Top Fuel or Funny car engine is around $5,000, to replace the entire engine $50,000-$60,000.

@Nitro Junkie Depends whether your talking about 1000 foot or the quarter mile of 1320 foot.. Their not the quickest or the fastest on the 1320. Sammy miller's rocket car is faster & quicker then all.
