Like a fine wine or cheese, Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em may well be old, but it feels wonderfully aged for it all the better, and just as funny, if not more so today than 30-40 years ago!
Well I am Australian, and it cracks me up😂😂 there was nothing like British comedy when there was British comedy!! Now we are not supposed to see the funny side of life or laugh at ourselves anymore. These old shows should all be on telly today! Better than anything we have to suffer now in the name of political correctness.
This is absolute classic! My ex girlfriend was betty too. However, she was nothing like Franks wife, so kind and innocent, this is comedy at its best, i'm looklng for george and mildred next, haha.
the chief migration officer was also in series 1 episode 6; and he played one of the employees at the labour exchange... you can tell when his scene finishes here that he's laughung really hard
who said bad things about america? i am american and this is one of my favorite shows. I won a beauty contest and I never touch alcohol. I just sit in my living room and watch this show among other innocent comedies.
I can't believe the actor who plays the Australian immigration officer is the same guy who plays Warnie, the brother of C.S. Lewis, in Shadowlands. Or are there 2 Edward Hardwickes??
it was only last night i was watching the royal family and i heard norma (brabras mother) say her doctor name was michael crawford just like ''oooh betty'' now ime watching this hillarious bit of comedy! :L
AND HE HAS DONE THAT TO ME ALREADY AND HE HAS HAD HIS TOUNG IN MY MOUTH WHEN I WAS BORN AND 3 TIMES WHEN I WAS 1 AND 2 AND 3 AND WHENEVER IT WAS AFTER THAT
@Dr Herbical He should have been knighted years ago. Bloody hell? Cliff Richards has got one, Mick jagger, even michael caine Bruce forsyth had one. The knighthood people are blind and deaf has bats
I've said it before I'll say it again. The first two series of Some Mothers were funny as Frank's character was devoid of any real assertiveness. This last series Crawford changed the character, didn't just make him more assertive, but made him almost aggressive and shouty. It didn't work. Also that fact that Crawford took over the writing from Raymond Allen, proved he's no comedy writer. I have the upmost respect for him, but the third series of this sitcom is amateurish and unfunny. Shouty, shouty, shouty--does not work for Frank Spencer. The first two series are testament to that.
@@hereisthenews7793 no. They really showed frank with his mother. I remember one episode where he went to visit his mother at the hospital. It was fun.
😂😂😂😂
This guy was something else,he really cracks me up! Classic brit comedy🤗🤗🤗❤❤❤

Oooooooooh, wise after the event!!!!!!
The Great Michael Crawford, absolutely adore him!
Frank Spencer…. The original…
Mr. Bean .. before Mr. Bean was brought to TV and picture shows…. The British Frank Spencer is a long time classic…
The Australia house scene was as funny as anything ive ever seen
Like a fine wine or cheese, Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em may well be old, but it feels wonderfully aged for it all the better, and just as funny, if not more so today than 30-40 years ago!
'He was never much of a letter writer. I mean, if he had died he might never have told us.'
This show is FAN-bloody-TASTIC!
Rolf Harris? If only the BBC knew back then? Oh wait, they probably did
that probably was a dig at his crimes i would say?
I emigrated to Aus from the UK, this cracks me up.
My parents came here to Australia in the 60s.

Love the old wobbly set.
Australia is the best place in the world to live.
Ukraine is the best one to live. Just need to stop Russia killing us and destroying all.
Michael Crawford is one of my all-time favourite Comedians and performers. This is Classic!

The best place in australia in the world

Imagine a world where you could move country to country. Live freely, without being a tradesman.
all you need is a dinghy

that wonderful sight when part 2 is somehow in higher quality than the first.
Frank: The sooner my brains are removed the better:))))))
Great
the chief migration officer was also in series 1 episode 6; and he played one of the employees at the labour exchange... you can tell when his scene finishes here that he's laughung really hard
Undoutabelly he is a genius Michael Crawford formerly known as Frank Spencer and boys will be boys making Mad as a Hatter🤣👍
That's your greenhouse as well... lol
Frank Spencer love it
He’s neighbors talked awesome
Excellent
"Things were different when my mother was a boy!" You've gotta love Michael Crawford. What was that about hoppity-hop? LOL
Hoppity-hop was about kangaroos.
O Rolph Harris is strange alright!
is it me or is betty actually alright looking
Frank: Their not strange....their like me! lol
" The sooner my brains are removed, the better " hahahahahaha
0:21 This section of the script is written in rhyming couplets

Frank: Rolf Harris he's not strange, seems he was after all.

And probably best known as Dr Watson opposite Jeremy Brett's Sherlock Holmes.
Edward Hardwicke also played Mr Hooper in the Labour Exchange episode in the first series of this show.
last series was the best he was spot on and he improvised
it was only last night i was watching the royal family and i heard norma (brabras mother) say her doctor name was michael crawford just like ''oooh betty'' now ime watching this hillarious bit of comedy! :L
well since it's only Betty suffering from him, shouldn't the title of this sitcom be: some wives do ave em?
2021. Anyone?
4:18 Almost mistook him for Bowie.
All of these comedy shows in the late 80s and 2010s including chevy chase have been probably inspired by frank spencer
❤❤🤣🤣🤣🤣
@mcbarnumphan
totally agree!
Lean and Hungary look 😂😂😂
Michael Cowford in Some Mother do evm wants Australian Citizenship but wasn't good at that but hope loss at everything
Frank Spencer learns to swim
You Mean I Can Go.......
He breaks Michele, then himself @07:05, but they manage to keep it together.
AND HE HAS DONE THAT TO ME ALREADY AND HE HAS HAD HIS TOUNG IN MY MOUTH WHEN I WAS BORN AND 3 TIMES WHEN I WAS 1 AND 2 AND 3 AND WHENEVER IT WAS AFTER THAT
Grandpa Spencer has more of the lean and hungry look than Frank.
Did Frank ever make it to Australia?
ROLF HARRIS: "I'm Jake the Peg / With his extra leg"
XD
2 little boys with 2 little toys?
🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂
😂🤣😂😍😍😍

13THJULY1978😢GOAWAYNOW
Why did Michael play him as such an immature person?
I HAVE NEVER GIVEN THAT 100 KISSES TO PAUL ARNOLD CLAY ON THE LIPS THAT HE HAS FORCED ON ME BUT HE HAS FORCED THAT ON ME ALWAYS
lol "things were different when my mother was a boy"
Haha.
The rhyming. Doesn't seem anyone in the audience caught on to that...
Or maybe I'm easily amused.
...
Can you tell us why michael crawford has not been knighted?
Come on queen?
Give this man a knighthood
@Dr Herbical He should have been knighted years ago.
Bloody hell? Cliff Richards has got one,
Mick jagger,even michael caine
Bruce forsyth had one.
The knighthood people are blind and deaf has bats

@@hereisthenews7793 no. They really showed frank with his mother. I remember one episode where he went to visit his mother at the hospital. It was fun.
Completely disagree... The third series was by far the funniest with classic scenes
