from 75 to the 1990s the Comedy Store on Sunset was my Hang out at least 3 nights a week. Paul is a National Treasure , A Legend and great Human ... I salute You Brother !

A good friend of mind worked as a host at a Hotel/Restaurant. Caesar Chavez stayed at that hotel with his entourage. He sat to eat at the restaurant with a few of his people at the table. This is in the 70's and the restaurant policy back then was no hats at the table. My friend after she sat them at the table, politely asked Mr Chavez to please remove his hat. He sat staring blankly ignoring her. Again, she asked him politely, again he ignored her like she wasn't even there. When they left, they left the hotel room a total mess with beer cans all over the rooms. Truth. Each time some one mentions his name I always remember this story.
