i use this app to reduce the lags legi.cc/downloads/genpatcher/ some maps are made for generals factions like USA, CHINA, GLA only. some maps are made for generals zero hour factions like air force, toxin, tank you can find +500 maps for zero hour here www.cnclabs.com/maps/generals/zerohour-maps.aspx
If you mean the map, you have to download the map file and put it on the documents folder named generals zero hour in that folder you have a map folder ( copy the file you downloaded there )
