wow this one had me on the edge of my seat during the downtown LA flying...great job... and as an LA resident, I can say it isn't all that bad as the stereotypes have us out to be. Yes there are shootings, but if you stay in your lane and dont cause problems the chances of being shot are slim. Being randomly robbed is remote as it is in any other city. The chances and statistics are even less here because there is way more people. Love the LA flights. If you fly into the San Fernando valley someday I might be able to see my own condo building. I live near Universal Studios !!!!
Great vid. This has become my go to helicopter for MSFS. The downwards visibility is a bit awkard but if you look straight down the nose and line it up with the far side of your landing zone it should put you down right in the middle.
I bought this to support the developer but it's a bit half-arsed at the moment. More Asobo's issue than Cowans, but I have to wonder if releasing it with so many features not functioning will do their reputation more harm than good. That said, hand-flying it is still enjoyable.
I find it much harder to land smoothly then the B206. 1) the shear speed of this bird can get away from you, making it very important to set up your approach farther away then you'd expect; 2) the downward visibility, like you said, it really bad, so pad landing is difficult. I've found using a view that looks over the dash panel to help
For someone not being much of a msfs helicopter pilot, yer doing pretty well. I've bought this one already, purely because i was waiting for airwolf.. the insane amount of liveries from the getgo is just amazing. I found the visibility from the cockpit the worst for landing in small places.. did not expect that from my hero-aircraft. Usually in MSFS helo's i make sure to give it one second of lateral and longtitudinal trim just before takeoff for added stability, keep adjusting as you fly faster and slower. The collective seems a bit too sensitive on this one. Oh, any chance you might have a laugh in the "Scrapyard Monster" by Flying Fries? Ground handling uses more power than usual, with forward pitch/trim...(you can drift!!!!) To take off, just floor it.. Fly it like you stole it. YOu'll LOVE the manual and i'm sure you'll find yourself looking for more and more eastereggs as you go. Have a great flight! Thanks for the video!
You have gotten a lot better at flying helicopters, congratulations! And you are still doing this with a yoke?!? Loved the video, LA and helicopters are a great combination :)
Oh no! AvAngel is flying a helicopter again!!! LOOOK OUTTTTTTT~! Kididing! Are you flying with regular fixed wing control settings or did you map a helicopter setup on your joystick?
Some very exciting flying between the buildings there! 😊 Did you mention that Fairfax High School was the setting of your second book? Now you sparked my curiosity. I didn't know you write books as well? 😃
I'm starting to, working on getting published, figured having a second and plan for a third would stand me in better position with publishers. I'm not a 'real' author yet :D First is done and in editing rn.
How can I get your book(s)? I’d love to read them. Also, would you consider doing a video on flying helicopters with a yoke? I really struggle with figuring out how to control them (also the Astro One). Thanks for your fun and wonderful videos.
I learned watching RotorSim Pilot's channel that you can land a skid helicopter on an airport strip, you just need to slow it down gradually as you approach the ground. Too bad his channel is gone.
Cowan claim this is "realistic"? That's a fail. A real 222 startup procedure is LOUD and rather violent as the twin turbines spool up then the blades pitch changes to a gut wrenching thwack thwack as you lift off. Try again Cowan. All I saw and heard is Asobo's pathetic 407 helo engine code.
@@ThorntonWillie It's definitely a bit better on the ground handling I thought after the update. Still seeing that beacon light floating out in front of the aircraft in VR though! Early days though, and I'm sure Josh will give this the attention it needs to iron out those niggles.

Wait, so how the model is made or how the textures are doesn't matter to you? I'm afraid to many it does, so it's highly important that I point out such things as liveries, textures, modeling elements.
This helicopter really needs a radio that plays the Airwolf theme during flight.
Do like I do during take off play it on your phone
It needs the Airwolf bodykit first imo
Last I knew, Captain Airwolf was making a full on model etc for the sim. Hoping that comes out soon!
100%

the aloutte 3 and this 222 is probably the 2 best helos in the sim to fly, absolutely love them, and the sound is just...
Wohoo! More Helicopters! I've been trying to learn them so more variety is great
And WOW this heli has a classic "Wump wump wump" sound because of those two big rotor blades.
15:37 I thought i was watching the Death Star trench run scene.
I found myself awaiting the Obi-wan voice urging you, “Use the force…”

Probably my favourite heli from xplane. It’ll be interesting to compare.
Prepare to be underwhelmed.
These eyes have seen some things! Lol! The patient...either she has gas, or she's dead! Lol😂
Ahhh, Nakatomi Plaza.😁
Not gonna lie, I had the Airwolf theme going while you were flying through downtown LA. 🤣🤣🤣
Always love AvAngels narration on these videos!!
:D
Idle stop is a shutdown thing, not a startup thing.. It allows you to rotate the throttle to fully closed, effectively shutting off the fuel.
It is listed in the startup procedure to cycle before start sequence... I followed that.
@@AvAngel I stand corrected.
I flew on their 222 a couple of times out of San Diego.
Haha you should unlock the attitude indicator. I would have been slightly disappointed if you had done everything right 😂Love ya!

This needs a Dominic Santini copilot model.

Yup still a yoke :D
@@AvAngel No offence but I made out maybe 4 words the entire time.

Impressive landing on the Bank Building 🤩
Thanks! 😃
Worth every penny
You should get the Alouette III, it is super fun to fly

Great job reviewing. What is your msfs go-to preferred helo as of today?
The Cowansim H125 if i do fly them :D

Too bad his channel is gone.
look sideways when you land it looks like it would be way easier
My liveries I did look good in MSFS
Sensacional.
How can I buy it for xbox version on flight sim
Artificial horizons broken both sides ???
does it have auto pilot ? thanks for the review

Any ideas on how you operate the gear, it appears to have gone up by it`s self and i can`t get it to come down again.
G or your gear button?
hi, normally yes but its G or button 4 on joystick don`t seem to work. I normally start from the runway engines running. I`m testing it again now. Tks
@@AvAngel I`ve fixed it, it was a conflict between my thrustmaster joystick and the Airbus joystick both were not set the same at start.Tks
Does this aircraft indicate it has autopilot, even though it doesn't?
You can use default keybinds.
Where is Airwolf!!! Lol😂
All I see is Airwolf with the wrong paint scheme!
