Fantasmic!

- It doesn’t get more epic or catchy than Fantasmic’s finale theme song by Bruce Healey. Fantasmic! Is a nighttime spectacular that’s been a staple of Disneyland’s entertainment and magic since 1992. This show is one of my favorite parts of Disneyland, and is a must-hit every time I’m there, alongside Dole Whippys, Star Tours, the Tiki Room, Thunder Mountain … I’m gonna cut the list there (;
Originally with a full orchestra, choir, and brass section, the music from Fantasmic features tight trumpet fanfares, soaring french horn melodies, beautiful string parts, and a driving rock beat, which all combine to get it stuck in your head for weeks, and have it not be a bad thing.
All of this is synced to fireworks, Disney characters from across the decades dancing, lasers, projections on water screens, massive animatronics, fountains, fire, and of course, the Sorcerer’s Apprentice himself, Mickey Mouse.
I arranged the choir/orchestra/brass for 5-part horns, but decided that the vocals were important enough to sneak them in there by stealing the intro from the beginning of the 25 minute show as well. Throw in some pretty 80s drum fills, and we can just scratch the surface of Healey’s masterpiece.
Hopefully this brings as much nostalgia to you as it brings me!
Personnel:
Drew Wright - Drums
Tyler Hill - Tenor Sax
Caleb Volz - Trombone
Elizabeth Volz - Vocals
Michael Volz - Vocals
Jacob Volz - Soprano and Alto Sax, Bass, Synth, Piano, Arranging, Production, Mastering
It's not my cleanest score, but here's the sheet music I used: drive.google.com/drive/folder...
Side-notes:
-Thanks to EDDIEFILMS for his very well edited multi-angle video of the show. I couldn’t figure out how to message you, but I figured leaving your watermark in there gave you a little credit
-If you are a killer French Horn player, hit me up. Let’s record this again with 5-part French Horn!
-The upgrade in video quality is because I just switched to Adobe Premiere. I made this on a free trial with them, and am seriously considering buying the transcription. What do we think? Worth it?
-I had such a fast turnaround in-between videos because of the snow days. Probably won't get another one started until I'm through final exams. Видеоклипы
