    Mozart's best satirical effort to deliberately write lousy music sounds better than 3/4 of the crud I hear on the classical station.

      Pdq bach is like if it wasn't mozart writing "musical joke" but the very people who he was mocking writing it instead.
      The parody falls apart when the composer parodying bach is already incompetent, and doesn't need to pretend.

      I think You are right - it is pretty close in time to "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik". Strangely this in F major and KV 525 is in G major. Any hornists Around? Would G major normally give problems?

      Written for F horn, it would be written as the key of D. Two sharps. Brass players as a rule don't like sharps.

      @@AndreasMuller-yp3qb "Rock" sagte man früher auch zu der Oberbekleidung der Männer ... im deutschsprachigen Raum.
      Zur Ergänzung, was den Mann im roten "Frock" (diese Bezeichnung sagte man früher statt "Frack" - auch Deutsch) betrifft: Dieses Gemälde stellt Joseph Haydn dar.
