The ordinary peeling solution is a DUPE for the DE glycolic night serum as they have mostly the exact same ingredients and I have used both for a very long time and have seen more drastic results with the ordinary which you only have to use 1x or 2x a week whereas DE every night and there is not a lot in their do not let the packaging fool you

For people who are prone to getting milia especially around the eye area, it's best to use products specifically formulated for the eye area to hopefully prevent them from occurring. Improper absorption of products can create milia. Heavy moisturizers can be too occlusive for the delicate under eye area and can lead to milia formation. 😁 thanks for coming to my TED talk!

3 months is honestly such a good benchmark especially since it can take that long before anything even starts to happen. So many people pick one month and it takes longer for things to get out of the system, find a rhythm, etc.

Hi Jessica, I am a skin expert, studied cosmetology, chemistry, how the skin works, etc. and worked with the best facialists in the UK. I just wanted to let you know that you can remove lotion cleansers with warm water as well, including Pond's cold cream. They are still oil emulsions so that makes it OK. I usually remove makeup with micellar water and then double cleanse with a lotion /cream / oil, emulsifying like you do with warm water and using a muslin cloth or a soft sponge and running warm water to remove dirt. Then I tone and moisturise / treat the skin. Your skin will be clean but nourished. I'm 43 and I swear by this system. My skin does not disappoint. :D

For drugstore eye creams I love the Roc Retinal Rorrexion Eye Cream. It’s really good and I’ve had dark circles for as long as I can remember and had been using eye creams/serums for a very long time. It won’t take away darkness from allergies but if it’s just lack of sleep it’s perfect.

My favorite drug store oil cleanser has to be the Burt’s bees one! Don’t let the coconut oil in it freak you out, because my skin is crazy sensitive to coconut oil and I haven’t noticed any bumps!

    • @whitneynicole4748
      @whitneynicole4748 5 лет назад

HayJor Turney Yep! Coconut oil became a huge trend and now there’s a huge stigma around it after it broke a ton of people out, didn’t work for them , etc. However, there are 2 different types of CO. Fractionated (stays in a liquid state , penetrates better, is low on the comedogenic scale & is used in a lot of skincare) and the CO that was trendy..... Virgin (cooking) coconut oil, which is not a great skincare product. It can work for some people but most people can’t tolerate it or it just doesn’t do anything (especially moisturize because it’s molecular structure is quite big so it basically coats the skin and doesn’t penetrate) So knowing the difference in coconut oils is important 💗

This was awesome Jessica! I’m 55 and I also take my skincare seriously - my friends and family love to tease me about it but....they will be the first to say what amazing skin I have lol
I use a lot of The Ordinary serums along with prescription Tretenoin, Timeless vitamin C, a lot of Pixi products, Cosrx products, Cerave and Paula’s Choice. I do my research and look for products with research based active ingredients. A little Botox around the eyes and forehead a few times a year doesn’t hurt 😉
Love to find new drugstore products full of good stuff so from one skincare junkie to another- thank you for all of the love you poured into this 🥰

The cleansing balm I use is albolene and it has worked so well for my sensitive skin. It has no fragrance in it but does contain mineral oil. I know some people don't like mineral oil but it doesn't irritate my skin.

The Shea Moisture Glo Getter does for me what you described for the Acure...it just seems to sit on top of my skin leaving it feeling so tight and thirsty. I was so disappointed as this sounds like it should be exactly what I like. Since it doesn't seems to sink into my face, it almost seems like a barrier to any moisturizer put on top of it. So I have been using it on my hands at night which has provided some nice surface improvements.

The Physicians Formula cleansing balm is awesome, and you can get it on Amazon for $9. I like it better than the Ponds., and the scent is very light and spa-like.

You should do another skincare video about products you use on a regular basis! This video was so helpful, but I also think it would be helpful to see what skincare you use when you are not trying products for a video. It would give us insight on what (more expensive) products you think are worth the money.

I have been using the Pond's cold cream with cucumber for years and love it! I follow it with the Cerave moisturizing cleanser. I use mostly products from The Ordinary... and I have found a way to use the hyaluronic acid serum. After I wash my face, I leave it wet then apply the HA serum. Then I really let it dry and sink in for a good 5 minutes or more. I apply 2-3 drops in the morning and 4 or more in the evening! NO pilling with this technique!

I really enjoy this kind of video where you take some true time to find the good and the bad in a product before you share your thoughts...not just use it once or twice. Drunk Elephant has some really good products but they way they treat they’re customers even some influencers is sickening. So it’s nice to be reminded that we so have some other amazing options. I’m going to try that essence.

Your videos totally brighten my day, Jessica! I just wanted to hop on the comment section and express how much you’ve helped me and my relationship. I recently watched some videos of you and Tyler and especially focused on the portions that you guys offered relationship advice. From your advice, I’ve learned not to take everything too seriously and stop seeking a fight where there isn’t one. Our relationship has really improved from this advice. I used to use Olay (microsculpting line.) I liked it, but then switched it up to the No 7 Protect & Perfect line. I used it a year. I thought it was good, but now that I've switched to Vichy (also at Walgreens) I see how much the No 7 wasn't really as good as I thought. It filled up my pores (I'm 47 with dry skin/orange peel skin) & made them look worse. It also pilled up with anything else.
The Aqualia Thermal Riche cream is fantastic. The have a hyaluronic acid serum that is good as well (Mineral 89.) I also use the Neutrolgie 2 cream. It is also so nice. It sinks right into the skin. 😊

I love to watch anything you record!.. You're fun to watch Jess!
I thought of a (maybe) fun challenge... not sure you'd be up for trying it... but... you pick all the items you would apply to your face in the order you would apply it, then have Tyler mix up all the items, place them in a row and you have to use those items in the now "new order".. so you may be using foundation as your eyeshadow...lol... I thought it might be fun to see what happens!
Hope you're having a wonderful day!
