We used to make paper by ripping up scraps and then we would put them in a blender with some water. Blend it till mushy and then use the paper maker as directed. We used junk mail, and just all the scraps we had from projects. They came out beautiful. Can't wait to see you make some. Hugs and blessings
Thanks for sharing. The only paper pad I liked that you showed us is the Oxford Garden one, but not enough to go to the store and buy it. Sad! I sure miss the Hot Buys they used to have on paper pads, and much prettier pads at that time too. Making paper sounds fun - but messy. I saw it done many years ago in a museum setting.
Thanks for letting us tag along! The Oxford Garden is my favorite, I have a passion for these pads! I really miss the specials they send to have on their pads….really good deals!
I saw all those paper pads and couldn't justify buying them because I didn't like enough either. That's so sad because I used to have to stop myself when I'd reach four pads in my cart.
I bought the Oxford Garden a few weeks ago at Michaels so I am excited to see how you use it!!! I love your channel; you are so explanatory in your crafting!
Thank you for showing the paper pads. IMHO, the designs in the U.S. are so…not my taste. I usually end up buying U.K. Paper pads. So…you saved me a trip to Michael’s. The paper making kit looks like fun-haven’t made paper since college. Could be fun. Thanks again.
Hi Jessica, love the shop with me videos. I feel like the dark academia paper would be good for a Harry Potter style journal or perhaps a man’s journal.
I have that trimmer, my husband was mad when I bought it a year and a half ago. He isn't mad any more since I haven't bought any blades since getting it. I used to go through 2 packs of blades a month. I cut a ton of paper and yes chipboard both medium-weight and heavy-weight. I haven't had any problems at all. Take care
I have two of the Procision trimmers. I had to send one back but they replaced it no problem. I use it mainly for cutting chipboard since I can cut it in one slice. One of mine now won’t cut up, only down so it needs to be replaced. It just gets stuck and won’t move. Sometimes when I cut cardstock, the edges look ragged. But overall I like them.
I got the Dark Woodland and the Vintage one too. I’ve noticed (at least in my area) JoAnns and Hobby Lobby have a better selection of TH Ephemera. Micheals has the most inks though I think.
I didn't know they allow you to take the paper cutter back after using it for a while. I purchased one also at Michael's a while back and haven't used it much because it's my favorite one and I don't wanna break it.
I remember doing this in Vacation Bible School. It was the best craft we ever had! We used regular newspaper and churned it up in a blender. Then we dyed it before we pressed it all out. I'd love to do it again with this kit. I'll have to check to see if they still have it at my local Michael's. I don't go there as often as I used to because they have such low stock.
paper making is not that easy LOL but a little practice and you can easily make a lot of beautiful papers . Good luck.🍀 The shopping videos always make me nauseous- too fast for me.
Thank You for sharing the flip throughs of the new paper packs im excited to go see which ones im going to pick up.

The Paper Pad thumbnail caught my attention. Thanks for sharing!
I bought the Vintage paper pack a few weeks ago. I went to a scrapbook retreat just north of Toronto, Ontario.

Thanks for sharing. I with you I would never pay 60 for that kit. Tfs
Thanks for sharing your Michael’s haul. Your videos continue to inspire me!!
I always enjoy the shopping trips. I, too, really liked the vintage paper pad. Thanks for sharing. ❤

I find the most Tim Holtz stuff at one of my Joann Stores but not all of them. Love the paper you picked out.
I love it when you take us with you to the store!! I think all the craft stores are turning into home decor stores!! 😢
Agree

Oh wow very nice paper pads.. haven’t been to Michaels in a while so I might need to make a stop lol 👍🏻
Thank you for doing the paper pad flip through.
Love the Michelle’s shop with me. I have not been there in a very long time. Cant wait to see all the papers and things you make.

I haven’t liked Michael’s paper pads for several years now.
Do you use cardstock pages in your journals rather than paper,?
Can’t wait to see you use it!!! Adding one to my cart asap. I’ve always wanted to make paper

I’m sure there is a time limit but I had this only a couple months - but you should ask!
Do you have the item number for the paper making kit? I can't find it on the site.
I like the Dark Academia
I like to tea dye the scrapbook papers:)
I'm going to need a demo on that paper making kit...I can't wrap my head around it...
Hahaha I’ll def try soon

Michael's is so disappointing now. Also prices outrageous. I rarely shop there.
Agreed! Even HL has better prices and they have no stamps and cutting dies anymore; it’s all Cricut stuff!

I love paper making but it’s def work! Thanks for commenting
@@PaperTerrace I can’t wait to see how it turned out- (: I love the little tag molds!
@@PaperTerrace and TYFS by the way. (:
Damm, poor people that have to put things back in their place that people leave all over the place...wow...☹
I thought this location was pretty tidy. I always put stuff back once I’m done filming.
Hope you fixed the mess you made.
Tattooed hand? Yuck.
Love your profile pic! Thanks for watching :)
