Hi guys! Love the content! After having the snap pads on a little while now, do you notice an improvement in side to side movement? The wife and I just bought a 2023 2600rb and am looking for ways to lessen the side to side movement when we walk around. I would appreciate any feedback! Thank you.
Hi guys. The trick is to put some blue masking tape for auto finishes down on the surface FIRST. Then tape your foam and insulation tape to the blue tape. 😊
@@mistyraper1980 The blue tape is a paper based tape used for automotive finishes and professional painting. It can easily be removed without damaging anything. And sure, if you prepare the surfaces, it should last quite a while.
I got some fender skirts at Sierra Engineering in Tollhouse California. They're thicker fiberglass then the cheap plastic that come with trailers. Super happy. They'll ship them.
We've been in our travel traler for 3 years now. We lived in southern Alabama for most of it. Now we are going to stay in Kansas and i am looking for ideas to skirt the trailer. Last year it got down to -15 in Kansas. I'm hoping skirting it will be enough. I do like how you painted it and went around the slide.
Steph, "I sometimes empty the black tank." That would be a great "shorts" video for proof. We love you both and please travel safe! Hope to see you out on the road one of these days.
We have been in our camper at the campground we help out at since the last week in March. So happy camping and will be looking forward to your ad entures.
Great to see the skirting coming off and the spring cleaning beginning. Snap pads are a great product, but don’t toss the blocks as there will be in level ground you will need them for. Great video. Stay safe.
Hi there! We took our first trip on Dollywood opening weekend. We stayed at Camp Margaritaville RV Resort and Lodge. We love it there. I also survived being in our camper back in December when I went home for Christmas for two weeks. I was in west Tennessee during the Arctic blast. We are only 45 minutes away from Pigeon Forge area. Have a great camping season. God bless.
Great video great knowledge. I am sorry in advance but I have been binge watching your RV videos because I am now full timing and my grand design imagine. And just from watching your videos. I have learned a whole lot. Thank you👍🏻👍🏻
This video was very helpful. I watch the video you two made putting it on and that one helped to. I was worried about the tape leaving marks on a camper, so that was great help. I'm looking into a camper to live in full time. You two have a new follower. Thanks!
I was telling my wife how adults going to Disney without children is a bit weird... She quickly dug through your library and played your Fort Wilderness video from a year ago.... Now we're planning our trip to Fort Wilderness for March 2024... LOL
I've been in one spot for the past 2 and a half months, which is the longest I've been in one spot since I got the camper last year. It does feel odd and I'm also anxious about getting back to moving around, haha. That said, spending so long on a full hookup site has been fantastic. Most of the places I've stayed I've been electric hookups only so not having to worry about moving to refill the fresh tank or dump the holding tanks has been great.
Wild winds indeed. We had a microburst yesterday out in the Quad Cities where I was staying, winds as high as 90 and a solid 10 minutes of hail. Miraculously, weighing down the camper and connecting it to the truck kept it upright and aside from a few scuffs where things flew into it, no damage. I did have the slide in though, with weather that severe you definitely don't want to leave slides out.
Great job you two. We're actually going to get our 2600RB out of the cave this Friday to start prepping for the season. First trip is Kansas Speedway for NASCAR the first wknd of May!
Another RVer in an Imagine XLS like mine introduced me to Zip Flashing Tape for skirting at the beginning of the winter. It goes on and off much easier than the foil tape and you can even peel it off, to remove a panel temporarily, and then just stick it back on. I'd definitely recommend trying it. It's also wider than the foil tape, which makes it a bit easier to stick everything together and seal the seams.
Yay, the skirting is off and now Khali's attendants can parade her all around the country again! Er, I mean, whew, glad it all came off without too much hassle. Where are you guys going first?
Hi guys, my first trip is to a golf tournament in the beautiful town of Greagle Ca. Found a Hipcamp host for the 4 days, $35 a night. Next trip will be from California to our new home in Virginia were we plan to visit the Great Smoky Mountains alot!
@@lifereroutedWe want to try Up the Creek & Creekside camp grounds in Pigeon Forge also a few in Gatlinburg. Just bought a house plus 6 acres in Wythe County VA and would like to be a Hipcamp host.
Hey guys I enjoy your videos one little tip about your stabilizer the more you extend the screw Jack stabilizers the less stable they are you are still better off to have a small wood block under them so they are not extended to the full length and you may have a more solid setup look forward to see more of your videos while you're traveling good luck
Love the channel. We’re newbies but have actually been out twice this year. Our maiden 2 night nearby trip and then 3 nights including checking out the Eagles in concert. We’re looking for more camping/concerts.
We took our first trip in mid March from Florida to Georgia. We stayed at a COE on West Point Lake. We should have considered a different time frame as the temps dropped to 28 degrees once. But we had a great time, especially when our son is so close.
@@lifererouted No problem at all. We love supporting you both however we can. We are like kids in December waiting for Christmas morning.... Cannot wiat for our first trip to Lancaster, PA the first half of May
Great video our second trip of the year was a week of Saint Augustine Beach camping in vilano beach it was awesome send me the link for the pads I’m going to get them God Bless you all stay safe always The GARCIA’S from Miami
The ppl thinking aluminjm duct tape is less sticky then duct tape. NO no no The tape and adhesive is heat resistent unlike duct tape which means its stickier

That is a GREAT idea! Wish we would have thought of that 😂
@lifererouted Well now you know for next time. Good luck!
Thank you 😊
Will the blue tape peel off? Would it be able to hold out through a rainy winter, all winter?
@@mistyraper1980 The blue tape is a paper based tape used for automotive finishes and professional painting. It can easily be removed without damaging anything. And sure, if you prepare the surfaces, it should last quite a while.
Watching videos like this and hearing about the winterizing makes me double happy that I live in Florida! 😂
😁

You should use painters tape to hold those in place and hold well and it comes off easy.
Thanks!

Ha! Ummm you may have caught me there....I'd have to actually empty it for proof 😅 we'd love to meet you on the road someday!!
So glad to see you ready to travel again. We've missed seeing that. You guys do a great job of documenting your journey.
Safe travels.
Thank you so much! We've missed traveling and are so excited to share it with you again ❤️

Great point!
I just put these on our Apex and man they are amazing, can’t believe the difference they make and contact on the ground!!
We're really happy with ours!

That sounds amazing! Hope you're having a great time 😁

Hahaha I'm with Tracy on this one - not weird at all to go without kids! So excited for you two, we honestly loved our stay there ❤️
I wil be in ft wilderness for 18 days this coming Sept. No kids. Retired 😊
Oh 18 days sounds amazing! We only spent a few days there and wish we'd stayed longer!
Those snap pads are awesome. I'm looking into those now.
We're so excited they made them for scissor jacks!
Great video. Always enjoy your videos. Thank
Glad you like them! Thank you, Betty Jo! ❤️

Couldn’t help but notice the Dart hoods and Dodge rally wheels w/tires. Maybe a couple Camaro hoods.
Steph's dad is a car guy!
I hope we get out to a WI state park in May.
That sounds great, Claudia! Have fun!
Heading to Florida (Hometown) next month and just bought a GD 2600RB.

Very interesting and helpful I have the same grand design imagine trailer 2018
Awesome! Glad it helped!
I always enjoy your videos! Great job! Might use a hair dryer to help the tape come off better -- next time!
Oh good idea! Thank you!
Did skirting save you money on the propane or electric?
I'd say yes!

Laughable to title this "replace our stabilizers" when all you did was is a different pad and kept your stabilizers on. Smh
"We replaced our stabilizer feet and left the old stabilizers in place" seems a bit wordy for a title 🤔 😆
"we Replaced our stabilizer pads"
Both short and accurate. 🙄
