This list of the fastest selling cars shows that it was a mistake for so many auto manufacturers to stop making cars. People want cars, not just SUVs.
@@peanutbutterjellytme You are 100% right. Most things “ not suv and bigger” are disappearing. And our choices are few.
Darn.
As a current and former Jeep owner….please stay away from this brand if you’re BUYING. It’s a nightmare and so many issues you will not see with other manufacturers. The quality is trash. Never again
Isn’t that awful ….. Most Jeep models in the past long long ago were terrific. Some were actually Made In America !! (👈low sarcasm)
Now …. like many newer or new vehicles, it’s seems like prices are really high and quality is decreasing. Darn
It amazes me how many people still want a jeep even after everyone they know tells them not to. What is so good about jeep???
@@Chilled-FiBro the resale value, thats it lol. Jeeps have been pure shit since the 90s
Uh, yeah, guys, you might want to check with some of your Toyota dealer friends. They (the manufacturer more than the dealers but it is affecting the dealers too) are hurting REAL BAD right now and those great sales on the models you mentioned are not enough to offset the massive pain they're feeling with the Tundra and Tacoma failures.
Can you guys please make a video on how the Fed interest rate cut will affect auto prices, specifically car leases and possible negotiation tactics? Thanks!
I love this channel so much😂
Let’s distill this video into two words: Reliability sells!
those inventory numbers are small. Add Ram 1500 and Wranglers you'll see much bigger inventory
What about all the trucks Toyota dealers are sitting on? That's a lot of expensive trucks.
Why isn't Mitsubishi ever mentioned in these lists?
Because they’re trash
Both those Alfas are great cars, my assumption is that they either don’t have the ‘petrolhead’ following in the US, or the US price point is terrible.
Most Americans don't even know Alfa exists, and most that do remember how unreliable they were when they were here years ago. They're also shy because of how few dealerships there are for repairs. What's funny is there are currently more Alfa dealerships than Mini dealerships, but that doesn't stop people from buying Minis. I love my Stelvio and tell people all the time how reliable they are
That's what happens when you make dependable cars that don't break down immediately after the warranty, and don't have planned obsolescence built in.
I'm surprised the 4Runner sells a lot with its low mpg it gets.
What is the average days supply of Toyota Venza?
A few days ago you guys said Toyota was in trouble. Today Toyota is the best-selling brand. Why should anybody listen to "U" ?
I see a pattern here: if it ain’t broke, people will buy it.
misleading video - market day supply column does not show fastest and slowest selling cars - it shows bad dealers decision to order too many or not enough cars.
Why would the Mercedes GLC be such a slow seller? It’s one of the lesser expensive Mercedes and seems to be a reasonable car.
Dodge should be paying you for marketing on the Dodge hornet. You're the only reason that they've sold some
So.... IF someone wanted to buy a Toyota in the next few months, what advice would you guys give?
Bend over and be prepared to get rammed. Deals are NOT gonna happen because they have no reason to. So I guess I move on to Honda and Mazda but even those deals are going to be tough to get.
Try to buy near the end of any given month.
Buying one at or just below MSRP (in this environment) is about the best a buyer can hope for. Negotiating is all but worthless, though still worth a try. LOOK FOR AND AVOID DEALER ADD-ONS/MARK UPS. Good luck.
My son worked as a mechanic at Toyota, Chevrolet, Honda & Lexus. He said the BEST time to buy is Christmas/December time. He said NO ONE is buying a car because all their money is going for Christmas Gifts for the family.
Make peace with paying MSRP or whatever it is over that.
Buy something else. Why would you buy something that everyone needs.. They are over priced because of the high demands. They aren't that good anyways. They are made out of plastic toy materials. Ive had toyota cars but I'm switching to Kia now. it's just they have so much more you get for the same price.
The answer is no there are NO deals for the Giulia, and high financing rates.
Where I am...Connecticut...the vast majority of Alfa Romeo Giulias that have long days-on-lot are white. Someone should have shipped all these to ski country instead.
people just don’t want to to buy new cars anymore! it’s just not on their shopping list for a good reason 😊
With ask the news I’m hearing about Toyota quality in decline, it’s not enough to scare consumers
Is that the NeW mini design? Wow if so that is a big fail for mini with a new redesign. So many mini people were complaining about the NeW design so it’s not going well…
Suprised the Camry and more Hondas are not showing in the fastest selling. Mazdas are good too, probably a good deal to be had.
Stellantis, deserved everything they got, frankly.
VERY surprised about the Camry. Maybe not cranking them out fast enough? When I bought my '25 a couple of months ago, I had to wait 3 weeks for any of them that was available in production.
I bet the new Camry hybrid will make the next list
Toyota slowed their production numbers
Americans have waken up and know where the reliability is at
Would be curious to also see the most cars sold ranked by # instead of days on hand.
That's what market day supply is. The Sequoia has 20 days of cars on hand. The Giulia has 617 days of cars on hand.
Every time they put a celebrities on vehicle commercials should raise a red flag. Never trust celebrities.
I still don't understand how days supply equals the fastest selling vehicle. If the Corolla had 32000 sales in 45 days how is that selling slower than something that sold way less. I just don't get it.
They use market day supply because it shows how many days it would take to sell everything in inventory. It would only take 20 days to sell every Sequoia in stock, so they don't sit on dealers lots very long. It would take 617 days to sell every Giulia, which means they sit forever on a dealer's lot before someone buys them.
So the manufacturer can simply restrict the production, and it would be high on this list.
@@Victic005 Yes, it would help it, but in the case of the Giulia, they're only selling 80 cars every 45 days, where the Sequoia sells 4,631. By my math the Giulia would need to have 35 cars in inventory nationwide to match the market daily supply of the Sequoia.
And I wonder where does the Cybertruck sit? Because it has extremely high demand, and it probably doesn't even have any inventory.
I've thought the same thing. Using this metric just means Toyota might have a supply chain issue especially with certain models. I just looked up Subaru Crosstrek for August and they were over 20k vehicles and up almost 50% year over year. So based on 45 days they'd be right there with the Corolla. Outback was the second-highest selling Subaru in August with 16,435 vehicles sold. Forester had strong demand with 13,456. It doesn't make any sense to me either.
I didn't even know Alfa was still in the US.
Why are BMWs never on the list of fastest or slowest?
how is the Ford Maverick sales. or is the video only about cars, and pickups are not included.
@@frankdelduca8595 tesla isn’t in there either so not sure what the source is
This isn’t just about cars/SUV’s - but it wasn’t enough to be in the top 10.
American car companies: US buyers don't want Sedans anymore they prefer SUVs and CUVs along with Trucks so thats all we will sell.
Toyota: let's sell a model of every type and let the buyers decide what they want
But now I still can’t buy one because people keep buying them before I get the chance 😂
@@goldenalbatross9462 Buy a Honda, Acura, Mazda, you'll be just fine.
Camry, Accord? Still among the fastest selling cars in the world. These are sedans.
Who the heck is buying all those Sequoia's? And why?
Isn’t Toyota having massive recalls? Especially with this tundras, which aren’t on the list.
Toyota reducing output is a shady business practice to keep inventory low, and profits up. Never forget
those Doge Hornets need a zero down - $199 a month lease to move those turds
Days supply and sales volume are different. Fastest selling is a different metric than market supply. The Dodge Hornet sales were more than Toyota Corolla Hatchback.
Why are you excluding Tesla? You should state that upfront. Sort of makes the video useless.
The price on the Hornet has dropped a lot. I think they will move that huge built up supply somehow. Probably a lot will go to rental fleets. I can’t see very many will sell for the asking price, not because they’re terrible. They’re not, just overpriced.
Mad to see them moving, my buy in price was 19,500 for a RT. They seem to be moving before they got that low...
@@edcarden6086 where are you actually seeing hornets anywhere near that price though? dealers are probably advertising 25k hornets until you get in the door when only the 50k ones are left
They'll sell Hornets to all the ratchet folks with horrid credit. It's the ultimate bad credit selling car like an Altima.
The ford, dodge dealership I pass on my way to and from work have had the same crap for the past 2 years.
Thats because toyota is reliable and in this market compared to the other brands is cheaper
Haha!!! Esposito and Spike Lee!!! Luv both of dem dudes, but.........really Fiat??? Really????? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thanks…Excellent Update ❤
I love my Dodge Hornet. I've only had to bring it to the dealership twice since I bought it.
You got one of the good ones. . . /s
The OP didn't mention that they bought the car last month.
My 2017 Audi has visited the dealer once for a non maintenance issue. My 2019 BMW has yet to visit the dealer for a non maintenance service.
Yup, I've been trying to buy a 25 Camry now for the last few months, and I can't find the deal I'm looking for. EVERY freaking dealer tacks on $1K-$3K worth of crap you don't want or need, then they pile on additional fee's on top of that. SE Toyota Distributor is a SCAM! I don't want a $500 Dash Cam, or $699 Toyo Scam Guard, or $499 lit door sills, etc. I can't believe consumers are ok paying this crap. Not me!!! F those greedy a$$holes! I'm willing to pay the MSRP of the vehicle with factory installed options, destination fee, sales tax, and that's it!
Consider the Lexus EX. Some dealers are selling without add-ons. You may be able to get one for little more than a Camry. Had a family member do this recently.
@@jdrein9511 I assume you mean ES? Current ES is dated, more than I want to spend, and I want a Hybrid.
The thing I noticed most with the Giulia is that when you first opened the page there was a 2023 for $25K and a 2021 for $27K, both low miles. Then you flip to the new page and the new lower/mid-line Giulias are $55K on average. That's a lot of depreciation from a 2024 to a barely used 2023. Don't buy one, lease if you must!
We gave up trying to buy a Toyota Prius. Dealer supply is non existent. I never see this model mentioned on fastest selling vehicles.
I think there was a recall on them so they stopped selling or even making them for months.
No down payment lease deal available on Hornet now.
Throw in 1 year no payments and free gas for the entire leasing term.
this is relatively meaningless without seeing the total sales by volume instead of days supply...Toyota could very well just be controlling price by controlling supply
I had a similar thought. Throttling back the supply helps the dealer, but does it help the mfr? The corporation doesn't make more money when dealers sell at or above sticker price, do they?
We haven't purchased a vehicle in almost 10 years. I'm really dreading the thought of trying to buy a new (or new to me) vehicle!
The Fiat 500e is a nice car. However it's expensive for the lack of space as well as limited range.
I was looking at Corolla hatchbacks recently
Every dealer nearby had just one or two base trims while the higher trims would disappear from the website just a couple days after they’ve been listed
I'm rooting for the Fiat 500e for the city commuter.
Interesting that I went to the Alfa Romeo website for Canada today, and the current inventory at Alfa Romeo of Edmonton dealership was asking a $7,000 premium over MSRP for the Giulia Quadrifoglio. And the MSRP was $101,000 CDN. I LOL'd.
how is Toyota Sienna not number 1? Ask any dealership their Siennas still on backorder for many months
Because "backordered" isn't the same as "sold".
Dodge should offer a 10 yr/100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty on the Hornet.. like Hyundai did many years ago. Heck I bought a new Hyundai because of it .. and some buyers would buy a Hornet if they offer it. The car is good looking for a cross over .
@@jimmywalters3071 it’s not worth what dealers are selling it for. i’m sure potential buyers are much more willing to buy something else same day and forget about the hornet for what they are charging. dodge is a flyover dealer for most at this point unless you are going there for something specific but no “browsing” people are going to buy something as overpriced as a hornet
@@jimmywalters3071 they will never offer that warranty because dodge cars are not good anyway. they are all flash
When is the best time to buy a sports car going into fall/ winter or spring time ? Trying to settle a bet with a friend lol
well you can say that all of them are Toyota, since Lexus is a Toyota.
How about Genesis GV70?
What are your thoughts about the Toyota Crown?
people buy junk
I'm guessing not, which is why Chrysler is dragging the bottom. Nothing is more garbage than that.
CDJR needs a new American owner. The Europeans don’t understand the American buyers.
Raising prices faster any manufacturer and stopping the production of ICE power plants is a major problem.
From the outside looking in, IF they were intentionally trying to destroy their N. American brands, it would look exactly like what they're doing and have done for the last 2 years or more.
Then why are so many European nameplates so successful in the American market and have been for decades?
Maybe you should compare the number of Mercedes-Benz and BMW vehicles sold in the United States compared to Cadillacs and Lincolns.
European manufacturers dominate the luxury market and even VW has 3% total market share.
Why would an American investor takeover Chrysler
Chrysler has always lurched from profitability to the brink of bankruptcy and has not been able to consistently produce a reliable durable attractive model range no matter who owned it more desirable competitors whoever invests in Chrysler is just flushing money down the to toilet
What happens to all these vehicles that nobody wants? Do they get recycled? Shipped overseas or?
When i tried to get lease numbers on a older 2023 model Kia EV6, the dealer said they couldn't give me lease numbers because the
"car was a loaner and had 5000 miles, and no longer financed through KIA, that it would be lease financed through someone like Ally Financial and they can't run lease numbers for me accurately" Said I had to be "in person". This dealer is over an hour away drive. Or run my credit over the phone which I didn't want happening, and said I had to be there. I don't know why they couldn't give me lease figures over the phone.
I think they’re all just trying to avoid negotiating over the phone because it makes it that much easier to find the best deal. They want you there that way they can take the keys to your car and try to hold you hostage.
I drive 75K miles a year and I’ve passed maybe 1 or 2 hornets every 4 months.
i’ve literally never seen a hornet in my life. i’ve seen way more giulia. it’s crazy to me that hornet isn’t the top
Jesus, how do you drive that much? You must be on the road all day.
they are selling hornets for 50k. the guilia is a way nicer car
@@l.h.tnguyen4916I am 😂
@@michaelthompson7217it’s quite literally the dodge version of a RAV4 or Ford Escape. When people look for SUVs they look for 3 things Comfort, Fuel Efficiency, and Reliability. The Hornet doesn’t match any of those.
Cybertruck outselling all EV trucks combined...
It's a short lived fad, like the new Volkswagen Beetle back in 1997.

People like the Dodge Brand. I drive a 7 year old Dodge Journey and it's great. The hornet is the most affordable they offer. We have had, the neon, caliber and journey. I would not buy a hornet though. These affordable vehicles let me keep buying Ram trucks. But there are no more affordable vehicles.
A hornet is $40,000...thats afordable?
@@SingleStacked no, I said I liked When dodge had affordable vehicles and I won't be buying a hornet and there are no more affordable vehicles. I've seen the Hornet GT at $28k-$32k
Dodge, Jeep are GARBAGE.
is that the new gx 550? or the last gx 460?
The union is trying to set up a strike vote against Stellantis. This may be the biggest single factor that may save the company. Stoop manufacturing, issue incentives and let the dealers get paid!
Been looking online for a Mazda CX-5. Surprised to see many new ones sitting on the lot for 6-8 months. I thought this particular car was selling. Minimal discounts being offered too.
I think that the problem with the CX-5 is that the basic package (body, engine, transmission) has been the same since the 2017 model.
True, the CX-5 is overdue for a major redesign. But it’s a prove performer; I bought one in March, very happy with it. And I drove Toyotas for 20+ years. Like it better than the RAV4 I had (totaled in a wreck).
Does Toyota Sienna not make the list because it has negative supply?
The economy sucks. Take that into consideration.
Except for Toyota
The Grand Wagoneer L - nobody wants a $110,000 Jeep. I cannot believe the Hornet isn't selling. WOW.
Days supply is not exactly the whole story I think. Yoyota keeps their inventory very very low. You almost always need to order one if you want one (at least here in Minnesota) so that will kinda keep their days supply very low. If Stelantis would have only sent out 5% of the cars they did their days supply would have been lower.
Yeah but if you look at how many they've sold in the last 45 days you see a correlation. It might not be the whole story but it very much supports the idea of supply and demand.
YOU CONSUMERS say you don't want any MARK UPS on the Sticker price, and you're tired of seeing cars priced above sticker.
YET.
YOU KEEP BUYING TOYOTA'S OVER STICKER.
Sold another Rav4 Prime the other day for $70,000.
You keep buying them over sticker, and I'll keep raking you.
THANKS!
Want to blame someone?
Blame "your" kind that keeps paying it.
I'm about to pull the trigger on a 2024 Toyota Corolla cross hybrid. None of the dealers have offered MSRP they are all 3,000 or more over. I've been watching your videos and I'm mesmerized by the ability to negotiate anything that is taxable. If the MSRP on this vehicle is 29,000 and they want me to pay 35,000. I asked for the JBL stereo upgrade but you can only get that if you also get the moon roof and the auto liftgate. When you say msrp, would that also include those add-ons or do I have to pay extra for them? Also they want me to pay nearly $400 for floor mats and I told them to shove it. The salesperson had to order the car and she said she would try to get the floor mats removed. Of course I know this is bs, but how do I deal going into the dealer once the car shows up if I've already put a $500 deposit down. I was told that I could walk away at any time and get the $500 back. I have only gone back and forth over text with the sales agent. She wrote down everything that I wanted in the car and then sent me an invoice and took my deposit. The invoice is well over the MSRP. Dealer docs, shipping, tax and license fees, etc. How can I negotiate from this position where I put a deposit down already and they know I want the car? I am prepared to walk away and find a different car but I do want this one I just don't want to pay $6,000 over MSRP
The best way to buy a car is to shop around. You need to contact multiple dealers (phone, email, text) and try to get them to give you an OTD (out-the-door) offer. Otherwise if you are shopping exclusively at a single dealership, they have little to no incentive to give you what you are asking for. Honestly, $6k above MSRP is just ridiculous. Think about how much debt and negative equity you'd be in the second you sign for that vehicle!
Been shopping for months not for a 25 Camry XLE. I've probably contacted 25-30 stealerships all across the country way out of my local area, and I still can't find a fair deal I feel good about. I tell them all the same thing, you can stick your 2-3K in extra tacked on garbage just designed to F the consumer and stick it where the sun doesn't shine. Keep refusing, us consumers need to put a stop to this racket! I'll pay MSRP, Destination, Sales Tax, and that's it!
Not only was a Dodge Hornet a car that was for lame people in the past the commercial features a guy and a kid you loved to beat up in school. Who makes these decisions to remake these cars? Oh, I have an idea how about we remake the AMC Matador ( ugliest car ever )?
Not unlike Ford slapping the "Maverick" name on a mid-sized unibody "truck". A rare Ford "win" in spite of themselves.

Toyota is still the king
King of Greediness. One of the main reasons why 9 out of 10 cars with the lowest market day supply are Toyotas or Lexus is because Toyota is purposely producing less cars. Between January and July 2016, Toyota USA produced 180,000 Corollas. Between January and July 2024, Toyota produced 121,000 Corollas. Toyota's doing this on purpose so they don't have to provide any rebates and can keep increasing the price. Let's not praise them by calling them king, they don't deserve it!

Weird that you never discuss Tesla? It’s like you are a mouth piece for the legacy auto manufacturers. The Model Y is the number 1 selling car in the world. What gives?
Are Tesla vehicle sales prices negotiated? The podcast largely focuses on the sales process and how to get the best deal. Also I don't think Tesla is incorporated into most of the data streams that Zach references.
Tesla??? No one gives a fk about Tesla anymore. They used to stand for innovation but when the company is led by a weirdo who's backing trumps crypto, you've lost me. I'd rather stick with my 11 year old Honda Jazz and 11 year old Subaru outback.
Because Tesla is in the tank right now (w/most all other EVs) and was never as important as its buyers/"true believers" convinced themselves.
EV buyers are "car buyers". OTOH. Very few "car buyers" are even potential "EV buyers". This isn't China, thank God.
Few "car buyers" have any desire (or even resources) to buy an EV given what we all know now.
Because their reliability ratings are ass
I don’t think Tesla reports sales figures so there’s no way to tell accurately how well they’re selling.
