This video actually made my eyes watery. I myself own an sr500, my dad gave it to me. It's fully stock and in great condition and i've always wanted to rebuild it as a café racer, but after seeing this video i kind of feel like this motorcycle somewhat reminds me of my dad. I'll leave it stock and get another one and rebuild that one as a café racer, to represent me.
***** Wow. Strong words you got here. But you're probably right. Let's see how this bike will be voted, in the election for the 2015 Top 10. Thanks for your comment. Cheers.

Beautiful bike, and top quality video, as we are usually spoiled by Racer TV. Thank you!
This in my book is nearly as good as the 48 sportster that was converted to a cafe in Thailand, they both look so beautiful in their simplicity. The more I see bike like this the more it make want to partake in this two wheel art
RACER TV i have to say the last few months all the bikes shown are still photos ..which makes one wonder if any of them really run ....your old videos things were alive ... whats up with that
1st place winner of 2015, for the perfect café. If you were to make a top 10 list video out of the 1st place winners of previous years. This one must fall with in the top 3.
“Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.” - Antoine de Saint-Exupe See you next week!
ReckLess Precisely. I already said that sentence in one of my videos, but i think these words came from an italian artist, which i don't remember the name. But thanks for sharing your comment. Cheers.
Very nice work by Auto Fabrica and nice pick for your channel. I love the simplicity but on my own cafe project I can't seem to get there. I have watched all your vids and have a good idea where I want to go but don't know if I have the design skills to do it. I think my goal is to make a Honda CB550 not look anything like a CB550. Not to worry I will keep going and see what happens. That's what makes this so much fun.
Dan Protz Thank you. I know exactly what you mean. If you can, try the photoshop or some drawings on paper, just to see what kind of changes will work well on your Cb. Some times we have to try several different things until stay perfect. Thanks for your comment. Cheers.
i really enjoy this channel the content is 👍 great the music in the background in most of the videos relaxes me anyone knows. whos responsible for the great music on this videos?
Thank you my friend for all your kind words. I appreciate your support. :) The song in this video is based in this version: "Sunset Blvd. - Battery Calm ". Cheers.
***** Thank you. Well, sometimes i find them by luck, but most times is with hard work of research, and adapting the original songs to these videos. Thanks for your comment. Cheers.
estou tirando ideias destas sr400 e sr 500 para o meu provavel futuro projeto na minha ys 250 fazer(quadro e motor similar ao das SR's), estou procurando algum design de traseira que combine com o tanque original
Racer, I greatly appreciate the way you fade from the "before" to the "after" shot at around 4:00. If you stop the video at the right place, you can compare every feature, every line: really "go to school" on this wonderful bike! Yet despite the gritty, urban environment of the photographs, the Artist has not allowed vulgar road regulations to interfere with his Art. In addition to the "microscopic" rev counter and the "invisible" speedometer, the mirrors too are rumors, the turn signals are legends, and the license plate holder is machined from thin air. But does he even stop there? How much rear wheel travel was sacrificed to the pure line? So much as to compromise roadability? Was a stiffer rear suspension necessary? And if so, Racer, do you know whether this is commonly done in other café projects?
Griffin Anderson Lol. Some parts of your comment are very amusing. You're right about all the limitations on this bike. On of my friend did a cafe racer with a hard suspension, and also with a hard seat. I ride it many times already, and is not so uncomfortable as you may think. It has some limitations, like riding more than 30 minutes non stop, but has also several advantages. The speed sensation is much higher than normal bikes, and the feeling of the engine vibrations is also more intense in the high revs. Deep down, I think this Sr 500 is perfectly usable for casual rides. Thanks for sharing your opinion. Cheers.
TheVaevictus24601 Lol. Don't worry. I think is perfectly understandable. It means you are seeing my videos from a very honest and informative perspective. But now you can be aware that sometimes, i can use some humor, just to keep things more interesting. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Cheers.
erniedawg I'm glad you liked. I'm sure this particular bike is expensive, due to the manual work on the fuel tank, the back end, and exhaust. But if we try to build it with similar parts from other bike models, i think 4 or 5 thousand euros is enough. Cheers.
You're absolutely right. Unfortunately, when I made this video, there was no video/sound content with this project. Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers
bullymac68 I know that this voice can sound annoying for some. But i can't do nothing about it. I already tried a real american voice in one of my videos, and most Viewers prefer the robotic voice. Cheers.
Rajat s Well, i can't say 'no', but i also can't say 'yes'. I also like the Continental GT. Let me make some research about it, and let's see what will happen. Thanks for your suggestion. Cheers.
Penelope Page Aumais Thank you. It never was my intention to offend anyone. I have nothing against vegetarians. For me is just an option. But i used that sentence just to achieve some humor, just to demonstrate how good the meat was, nothing more than that. Try to imagine the opposite. "This salad is so good and so tasty, that can turn into the cure for carnivores." :) Cheers.
Jeebran Gooljar Unfortunately, no. But i can recommend you a good 110 cc project. Lol. Try to find images about "Suzuki GD110 ROCKER RACER DESIGNED BY K-SPEED". It is a lovely project, but unfortunately there isn't information/material enough for a video. I hope you like it. Cheers.
I don't understand why the builder put clip-on bars on the bike but left the foot pegs in the stock position. Clip-on handlebars need rear set pegs for proper riding ergonomics.
dingo416 Damn! I forgot to say that sentence in this video. Lol. You are completely right. This bike is a perfect example. Thanks for your comment. Cheers.
kevin engebretson I'm sorry, but i didn't understand your last sentence. The word "none" is making confusion on my english limitations. Can you explain better?
I do not wish to seem like a wowser as these guys have done a good job with the overall styling concept but some of the details such as the welds on the indicator light switches which have not been finished and the curvature of the exhaust is not quite full enough in front of the cylinder which makes it look a bit limp. My main concern however is that all this effort has been put into a bike that feels like a flimsy toy when it is ridden. It has no presence on the road and is really not much fun to ride. As the Japanese designer Atsushi Ishiyama said it was 'inspired' (directly copied) from British bikes, the only qualification that he forgot to add was that when they copy the style the Japanese are adept at cutting out the feel and heart of the motorbike. There is no point in making a cafe racer for style only otherwise is it not a cafe racer. The creators of this bike come from the country where the original real bikes were made and so must be aware that this whole exercise must have been for style only and not for substance. Other people are welcome to their opinions and taste. I am not some type of ultimate authority but I have experience with the Yamahas and British bikes and feel this has certainly the case on the bikes I rode (including an SR500). Having said all this, I am not referring to modern bikes nor am I referring to the reliability of the bikes, just to the feel and pure enjoyment that can be obtained from bikes that are relevant to this exercise. I am not sure what is meant by a piece of meat 'curing' vegetarians back to getting pieces of animal muscle stuck between their bloodied teeth. This would seem to indicate some insecurity on the part of the meat eater whose opinions are given here. Eat meat and enjoy it, there is no need to attempt to change others who have made their decision on what foods they enjoy.
Thomas Elliott I have nothing against vegetarians. For me is just an option. But i used that sentence just to achieve some humor, just to demonstrate how good the meat was, nothing more than that. About the bike, i think i already know your demanding tastes about bikes, and there is nothing wrong with them, except of being very demanding. :) But that's ok. Thanks for your comment. Cheers.
RACER TV Thanks for your demeaning comments on vegetarian food, it was not just a comment, you have an icon of an inoculation figure as you say " when the meat is really good it can turn into the cure for vegetarians'. This is not humor and you are a shallow person who does not appreciate food or motorbikes. Thanks for your stylishly self- complimenting and engineering puked up representations of cafe racers. Sweet dreams. They are all you know about. Cheers.
Thomas Elliott You still didn't get my point. vegetarianism is not a disease, right? It is just a choice of a personal taste. Try to imagine the opposite. "This salad is so good and so tasty, that can turn into the cure for carnivores." Do you see my point? You don't need to be rude.
EletroBoy TV You are right about that. I think this isn't a bike for daily usage. But with good weather, i think is perfect. Thanks for your comment. Cheers.

Classic. Pure. Unbelievably basic yet unbelievably refined.
Thank you, Racer.
Griffin Anderson You just said everything. Thank you. Cheers.
I think this is the best bike I've ever seen. Brilliant.

De fato ficou muito boa essa Yamaha! Um projeto simples e bem resolvido! Obrigado pelo vídeo!!

Adoro as Yamaha....e esta ficou espetacular ;;;;;
Ótimo vídeo como sempre, parabéns! Meu pai tem uma RS500, vou mostrar esse vídeo para ele para ver se inspira ele para fazer seu projeto. Abraço

looks great nice job
Great video and a great bike for sure. The transformation is amazing. I never did like sauce on my meat.

Now this is a cafe racer. Racer TV, what do you think the cost of building a bike like this goes for?

"I wouldn't change absolutely nothing"...steak and sauce right there!
bullymac68 Stoopid robotic voice makes me angry!!!
bullymac68 Well, i would say steak with salt. Any good piece meat, always need a little bit of salt, not sauce.
bullymac68 I know that this voice can sound annoying for some. But i can't do nothing about it. I already tried a real american voice in one of my videos, and most Viewers prefer the robotic voice. Cheers.
RACER TV The voice is the signature for Racer TV. Don't change a thing.
Exquisite!

Anyone know what gas tank this is? Custom made?
I don't understand why the builder put clip-on bars on the bike but left the foot pegs in the stock position. Clip-on handlebars need rear set pegs for proper riding ergonomics.
James Scott I also don't know that. But i'm sure Auto Fabrica has a very good reason for that. Thanks for sharing your comment. Cheers.
Yeah, The kick starter is the only way to start an engine.
I wonder what tank that is...
+SUBMOTO As far as i know, this fuel tank is custom made by Auto Fabrica. Cheers.
+RACER TV thanks :-)
"Less is More"
dingo416 Damn! I forgot to say that sentence in this video. Lol. You are completely right. This bike is a perfect example. Thanks for your comment. Cheers.
Definitely nice, but I disagree about the alloy wheels. A none chrome spoke would have made it look more retro.
