This is nice. It's clean and uncluttered. At its best, it's simple. My only wish is that the two kids beds could switch to followers.
If you're on PC, you can use console to click on the bed and type clear ownership. Then followers can sleep in the beds. You can also setscale to 1 to bring them back to normal size if they'll fit.

It's an interesting idea for a player home mod in a bustling city. The key teleporting you to your front yard in a neighbourhood in Solitude that you can see over the wall and through the gate.

Things I like:
The technique of having it be "in" Solitude and exit to Solitude, but not actually taking up Solitude real estate and not needing patches for it to work with any town overhaul. That's actually brilliant and I'd love to see more mod authors take notice.
The enclosed private yard.
The purchasable extras - wish there were more soils, though.
Things I don't like:
The interior layout is weird and awkward and unfortunately a dealbreaker for me.
Having kid beds and no option for fthem to be follower beds instead.
I'm personally not a fan of mixing Dwemer architecture with other styles. Unless it's a whole Dwemer house, I don't want to see Dwemer clutter. But that's just me.

Finally, nice, clean, apartment, standing in the Solitude itself (no dock, no 200km away, or far inside the Solitude, right near the exit which is very nice), and its very well balanced in terms of size😊

I was sold on the idea of this being in "Solitude" but technically in its own worldspace. That's brilliant and I hope to see more houses like that.
Solitude is good if you combine the great city of solitude and Epic Cities Solitude
I really love it but not being inside solitude is kind of a deal breaker. If you have kids they go out and run up and down the lanes and stuff and this just kills the whole point of it being a solitude house

I'm sorry but I'm a bit confused. The link took me to the Solitude Penthouse on the nexus, however, the pictures displayed there were nothing like the quaint little cottage that you reviewed. Those pictures were of a dark and dingy stone castle like structure. Could it be that your Solitude beautification mod changed this mod (the one you are reviewing) into this small open and brightly lit cottage like structure?
Absolutely it does, I don't care for that dark solitude stone so I always have the retexture installed - and then I forget to even mention it sometimes and get myself into trouble lol - the difference is so amazing isn't it?!:)

I would abuse it to move in, if it's a fast-travel to the Penthouse from anywhere. Overload my stuff and move in with a twink of my little locket.

Yeh I got your texture pack for Solitude after you referenced it in another video and I think it looks great, amazing difference.
I noticed the Ivy on the brickwork too. It looks like the normal maps are inverted in some places?
I quite like this one but would prefer a physical entrance to use in Solitude.

I'm running a really cool Whiterun mod. It's called Whiterun Valley. It's pretty nice. It adds a new district and would be compatible with that Whiterun Capitol mod. The added districts are on opposite sides. I don't do the Capitol because I don't want wood planks covering my cool Whiterun roads from 202x. It also adds a couple of suburbs outside of the walls. I'm liking it a lot.
On top of that, I put in Blubbos trees plus City of Life. I learned about that last mod from one of your videos. Finally I have the Whiterun horse statues scattered about. Some trees had to be disabled. There might be a patch but I haven't seen it. In short, it's the best Whiterun I've seen.
I put Blubbos trees, Kato's and Big Heads mods in Riverwood. Again, some stuff had ti be disabled but that was because of a conflict with Leaf Rest. If I had moved Leaf Rest to Inillat (again first seem by me on your RUclips channel) then there wouldn't have been an issue. I wanted it there though and I don't mind a bit of clean up. Originally I used a patch between those two overhaul plus JK's but it was a pain. Riverwood looked good but I had to use JK's aio and that was an issue with other towns. In the end I settled on my way of getting what I want.
Overall, Whiterun Hold is way cooler now. There are a couple of things Big Head did that aren't to my taste. He's got some oversized Deathbells that are bright glowing white. I figured I had a texture issue. It took a half hour to figure out it wasn't broken, just annoying. I'm pretty sure he's the one that put in some fallen logs that are discolored. I'll live with them but I wish they used my back textures instead of his custom stuff. They'd look more natural. Oh well. The mod has benefits so I'll just live with the two picky annoyances.
Frame rates were an issue but I deleted a few underlying texture packs. I think they were mostly overwritten. I don't see any difference visually but my frame rate went up 20%. Now it's respectable again. Running around and pushing it dropped me into the 40s. It's mostly around 60 in Whiterun.
I've got big plans for Markarth. I'm clueless where I'll go with Solitide. I'll probably also revisit the smaller towns because I only did Cities Of the North on each. I did individual mods for each so I can change one without affecting the others.
Oh! Rittenhouse has never looked better on my computer. Mostly it's only texture stuff plus Blubbos trees. I also added two or three exterior add-ons. That city has a much better look and feel now.
3 days of sifting mods and figuring out what looks best to me and how to put it together has been frustrating but that's 1/2 the fun of this game. People like you, showcasing mods, have helped me get a lot more pleasure out of the game. I appreciate it.
I still have several aspects to address but the world is almost done. I'm 250 mods in, I'll be at around 300 once these last cities are complete. Then I have game play, combat, and quality of life stuff. I figure I'll be around 5 or 600 before it's said and done.
Last comment, Live Another Life isn't working for me. It had in the past but not now. That made me look at other options. I forget it's name but I found one where you start off in Helgen before the dragon attack. He won't attack until after you talk to the inn keeper. At that point the main quest begins and plays out normally. It won't for me. I'll add mods to let me control the pace and make it more challenging. Still, this mod doesn't affect any of that. I'm gearing up for an epic play through. I'm really looking forward to it and you've helped me put some of it together. Again, I appreciate it. Thanks.

Don't much like Solitude. But, for the price, quite a bargain! As a child in Dallas, TX, we had a coal hole and a coal furnace.

I love that you come through the door onto the staircase then down past the bedrooms into the heart of the home It confused me a bit when you first came in lol but once I got my bearings I really liked it 😊

I prefer compact and cozy houses (both in Skyrim and in real life) to huge houses with a lot of unnecessary rooms that you can get lost in, I just don't know what to do with so much space and I'm not good at navigating :) So I like the playerhome you showcased in this video.
