I was testing the dynamic range with the harsh highlights that burn through the trees. Also, testing the wifi, so I could have character movement in the shots.

I think the best practical test of GH5/S dynamic range in high contrast setting I have seen, by far. Very well done and excellent test showing the capability of GH5/s in real world high contrast environment. I thought the dynamic range was superb from 1:02 to 1:10 in difficult lighting...the highlights were not blown out nor shadows crushed. However from 2:33 to 3:20 when thickness of forest allowed for little natural fill from sky to help out the shadows is when it got extreme and the dynamic range suffered...I don't know that a Arri Alexa could have helped much in that type of lighting. Good job.

Thank you. The thing to know is I kept the settings the same the whole shoot. And colour corrected them all the same. I wanted to get an overall setting just to see what the basics would be. From there I could have changed the settings individually for each shot and probably got more detail out of them. Also, the part where it begins blowing out is because of the lighting angle, I found. Basically, the sun was front lit, where the beginning of the film it was side or back lit. These are little notes I keep in my head.
