A decade ago, car enthusiast Ryan Evans could attend a car tradeshow or convention without turning heads, but not anymore, as he became popular when the reality-television series, “Counting Cars” premiered in 2012. His incredible skills as the lead painter and graphic artist made him one of the most reliable crew members in the now famous auto restoration shop of Danny Koker in Las Vegas, Nevada called Count’s Kustoms.
However, Ryan’s sudden disappearance made fans curious and some even said that he will no longer be appearing on the show. As a firm reason for his departure was never given on the show, it led fans to wonder what happened. Some of those theories were pretty wild and one was that Danny Koker fired him for embarrassment. So, what actually happened to Ryan Evans from “counting cars”? Did Danny really fire him? Or did Ryan decide it was time to quit on his own? Mike would not have been there for all of these years if he wasn't a master Crafter. He did some amazing paint work what happened to that hilarious little guy with the electric car. @@dixierae3442 Art car designs and murals have fallen out of style a long time ago. It is a bit like the molded monochromatic or 2 tone pastel low riders with ugly huge out of proportion wheels.
I've NEVER seen anybody, anywhere that could make your jaw hit the floor with the shit that Ryan came up with. He is by far, the top painter for anything on wheels and just about everything without em. He could make a screaming ass fortune TEACHING his skills to other people as far as I'm concerned. If I ever happen to win a big ass chunk of change and I get to have these geniuses get and customize a few vehicles for me, I already have the paint schemes picked out and written down JUST IN CASE...talk about a WISH LIST. Thank you, Ryan, for sharing your art and talent with us on something we can take out and hit the road in that everyone would love and love to see.

@@Quartermileyt All the way back to when I had and could afford cable tv. I'd say around 10 years ago or so, but absolutely since I first saw the show and was a big fan of it ever since. I still watch the re-runs on regular tv channel 14.7 the Defy channel on my local antenna tv. How about you?
P.S. Just found out Counting Cars ain't on 14.7 no more... they switched the DEFY channel on antenna tv to channel 30.2...

I am in the collision business for 48 years, Ryan is one of the most talented painters I have ever seen, I love watching count kustoms great show.

Huh......a guy who looked a lot like this guy delivered a couple expensive printers to our company a few weeks ago.
I never really watched the show, but my buddy did and asked the guy if he was on Counts Custom's, and he WAS! I didn't stay for the conversation, but the guy was larger and had the same look as Ryan Evans. He ended up noticing my 59 Studebaker resto-mod parked on the side of the building and took a bunch of pics of it apparently. I'll have to ask my coworker what his name was.....

This was neat, I had no idea Ryan was taught by David Ham in Killeen Tx. David Ham is a beast, I worked with him for a couple years.
Lonny Speer does most of the work. Ryan overseas the projects and does his part but Lonny doesn't get the credit. They also have several others helping in the shop
As a baby boomer he's right on some issues and so off on others. While Vietnam vets were treated crappily when they came back baby boomers were the vets.
He's right about many teachers. Many of the complaints he voiced were more about the children of my generation.

He does have his own shop now, He's still on the show and still does alot of their speciality paint jobs plus does public appearances with them but he doesn't work at the shop anymore, Horny Mike is the same way, he runs his own airbrushing company but is still on the show also, the only 3 cast members that are still at Counts Kustoms is Shannon, Kevin and Ghetto Bob, everyone else has moved on to somewhere else. I live in Arizona just south of Vegas an stop by when I get the chance when I'm in Vegas.
They're auctioning off a badass super snake Jan 27 that Ryan just painted with counts custom and Shelby America, so I highly doubt anyone was embarrassed of Ryan's work.

Horny Mike doesn't either, he owns his own airbrushing business but like Ryan is still on the show and still does public appearances with them, the only 3 of the main cast that still works for Count's Kustoms is Shannon, Kevin and Ghetto Bob.

my wife knows how much I watched the count and she really did not care for the vampire guy but it was Ryan that had the right attitude to even adjust his skillset on the fly to go fullbore custom paintjob

as far as custom painting goes he is amazing, but the price they get to shoot a car one color is outrage's they tell you the price of paint is the cause, as do all painter's when it take's one week to sand and paint body shop's want more money than it take's some people 6 month's wage's, that is the drawback, still he has amazing talent
